I can't wait to get this game and will wait until the rosters are all set. I will rebuild the Yankees, Mets and Cubs. I will also do a fantasy draft and then rebuild around that. Last year I had one of the 1st few picks and took Ronald Acuna Jr. This year though I plan on getting the PS5 and have the ability to bring back the Expos.
That Expos idea is great! Have you seen my friend TnJ rebuilding them?

I know I’m late, but some out of the box rebuilds I came up with are the Red Sox and Marlins. Both pretty fun for me so far. Great video btw.
Sounds great! Red Sox were definitely up there for me just missed out. Too similar to a Mets rebuild imo and I chose them instead for the list.
I always like these kinds of videos. As a Brewers fan I always wind up doing a franchise for us, but this year I decided to relocate the Rays to Nashville and do a fantasy draft!

Or you can do what im doing with the Angels, keep some realism (Rendon & Trout have player controlled no-trade clauses) AND rebuild them with the story of getting Trout a ring, hopefully!

I’m rocking with the White Sox this year when the rosters get updated for Opening Day. Got a lot of former Braves on the roster, not the best farm system and not any real talent other than Robert Jr. on the big league club.

Depends what you prefer. Money for free agents (Padres) or building through the draft (Royals)

See if I were rebuilding the Yankees I would not trade Stanton. Realistically, it's why the Yanks haven't IRL, no one can or would take that contract

Do you have any video about how the budget/money works in franchise? I keep getting the "you cant afford this..." and I dont even have any big deals on my team. Most are under 5mil with only 2 higher than 10mil
Are you cutting people? Do you have a small market team? There is a budget screen as well you can look at to see how much you have to spend. It goes based on market and how much you're winning.

Obviously the Rendon contract is garbage but realistically you wouldn't be able to get that off the books via trade. No one is taking that.
Im new to baseball and am trying to play franchise like a Madden rebuild. Any tips?
Honestly MLB fast sim rebuilds are a bit tough. There are so many little details to pay attention to that matter. If you don't make the roster moves for injuries and September call ups, the CPU does them and they do a real bad job sometimes causing guys to be on waivers or get cut completely

Nah I put together my own roster with what I thought was everyone. Only missed one guy from SF. My opinion isn't gonna change all that much in such a short time.

@@brandonbaird3917 I think Snell can make them a fringe wild card contender. Doesn't change that it's an old team in win now mode while not being good enough to actually beat the monsters of the NL like Dodgers or Braves.
@@FranchiseGaming yea for sure, I’m curious on what your thoughts are on the mlb going to a salary cap vs what they have now. I think it might make things more competitive in the long run.
@@brandonbaird3917 I'd love to see it but it won't happen because that's part of what the players win on in the CBA. It takes so long for a guy to get paid his millions with all the team control that the players get guaranteed contracts and get paid for what they have done over what they will do leading to big guaranteed multi year deals that a salary cap would not accommodate simply due to every market being totally different

Yes I did. Under FranchiseGaming. But I did make one error. Prospect Ryan Clifford of the Mets is doubled. I think my 1B one is more accurate to his stats than their LF but...do what you wish
You know this already, but I'm doing a franchise with my Cardinals. Plenty of hitting prospects, but not much on the pitching side, and their SPs are almost as old as me.

Hey, I’m sortve new to the game and the sport in general. And I’m stuck between the Angels, Padres, Royals and Rockies.
If you're new, definitely try the Angels/Padres route first. Learn the way the game works, rebuild them in a few seasons and then move on to Royals/Rockies that are a bit more involved.

I like the Marlins as a rebuild but I did them in '22 and they have gotten BETTER since then. Still 3rd or 4th in the East but...good middle-of-the-road type team. And, you can get them out of their awful stadium and build them something special!
