Dhurpad is not a music for entertainment but a good tool to still the mind and lead to meditation. It's thus a spiritual music and believed to have links to Saam Ved in origin. In solitude we must hear this and try to immerse in stillness - free from thought flows - so our mind calms down and we graduall slip into meditative state of peace.
