- Cody was pronounced dead as a toddler after an accidental drowning. To everyone’s surprise, he was resuscitated and brought back to life. Now 32 and living with cerebral palsy, Cody is grateful to be alive.

I agree! (I’m not through the full video yet so done come for me) but I feel like it he was able to move his jaw he would speak perfectly. I hope in the figure there is a way!
I don't think that a surgeon can make his jaw more functional, but fortunately through toils we can barely understand he has worked to make himself more and more articulate over time, and it only takes a bit of effort on our part to concentrate.

I have cerebral palsy which effects my speech and I can definitely understand where he is coming from. So many people associate my speech problem with my intelligence, very frustrating.
I recently saw a documentary about a man with CP who was institutionalized years ago when it was still common. He fought to get out and got this amazing IT job and is extremely intellectual- how frustrating to be assumed to have DD/ID when it is so far from the truth!

What a genuine character! Love the complex personality and sincerity that he radiates. I could seriously spend all day watching the countless amazing interviews from SBSK! I use these videos to help me educate my own children on the importance of better understanding and acceptance of people who may be different from themselves. I will always, always, ALWAYS encourage my children to see past what we see on the surface and focus instead on the individual inside. Say "Hello", get to know them, and spread some kindness. There are so many beautiful souls that are overlooked by society because of things beyond their control. A little bit of time, compassion, patience, and friendship can mean the world to someone else. This planet is undoubtedly a brighter place because of people like Cody who have so much to offer this world! ❤

I don't know that he is able to move his arms.
He is awesome and so bright to speak with such an effort. For me he is so inteligent because he can leave his message he never give up. He has a great sense of humor 👏👏👏👏👏👏🧡💛💚 he is grateful for being alive a lesson for all. You are a blessing.
