I was a Triumph freak from the 60's and 70's,beside my Harleys.... 67 and 68 were the best of the 650 years. For your primary cover I used a product called "Form a gasket".. The frame looks like like the old DLG soft tail .... I ran "Posi" fuel injectors, and Sebring transistorized electronics...never failed as the old Lucas Electrics did. I put a 750cc kit on my 1964 TR ... dropped it 2 inches back and front...moved the swing arm mounts,compressed the springs and also Dunlop K-81 80% profile rubber...it'd nail a 100 mph....I sold them after 9 years US Army and move to Australia with my Sporster and new dresser... Love the bike... be real sure with the fender (Rear Guard) mount...if it breaks loose, you may end up with a rear steel sled once it grabs the tire...happened to me once....they do vibrate... love the bike.
Too hot and rainy for a long ride. Maybe we can meet up this fall at Daytona or something like that. Hopefully I can get started on the Kaw next month. Kid’s start school August 10 and my schedule should open up. It’s been a long HOT summer
If it looks like mine it’s called an “Amen Savior frame” I think that is the name of the manufacturer. Also commonly called a Plunger style frame. Mine was made in Pennsylvania in 1976. They made them to fit a triumph motor or a Honda 750. I actually just sold mine today
