Cartridge: 1963 Shure M33/7 with original needle
Phonostage: 1964 internal original PE TVV204 solid state germanium type
If it sounds this good over the internet it must be wonderful in person.
Thank you, in fact this old german table sings, this handbuilt series of compactly sized rim/belt driven tables was intended for use in broadcast vans of german, austrian and swiss radio stations :-) This is the good old broadcast quality of the mid 60s.
What modern equipment can I put together to get similar sound ? Can you please advise me ? I am totally obsessed with this sound . I did compare sound of this particular song with streaming from Apple Amazon premium subscriptions, nothing compares . Maybe you just can name what preamp and amp I can put together to get sound closer to what you achieved.

Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah and pleasure; their marks are in their faces because of the effect of prostration; that is their description in the Taurat and their description in the Injeel; like as seed-produce that puts forth its sprout, then strengthens it, so it becomes stout and stands firmly on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the unbelievers on account of them; Allah has promised those among them who believe and do good, forgiveness and a great reward.

1963 cart with original needle?!
I've listened to thousands of songs from 80s till now. Cassette, cd, mp3, youtube, UA-cam vinyl recordings, but none is comparable to yours. It's such a treat. Thank you. Such treasures we have here.
you are very welcome Sir, I do my best sometimes the uploads sound great sometimes mediocre depending very much on youtubes music upload servers. ;-) You can get the PE33 Studio turntable on German Ebay, but in the USA there are also excellent studio tables for example the Rek-O-Kut-Rondine. (If you have 60 Hz 114V electricity you need a different stepped capstan shaft / or motor, in Europe we have 50 Hz 230V electricity so the tables are different compared to the US versions.

¡gracias GRACIAS gracias!!!
This music marked so much life, I can't express how it is so beautiful, is just a masterpiece !!!
Superb audio quality at it’s finest. So crisp & clear to listen to even up to 14 times a day. Thank you so much for uploading. ❤😊❤🎼🎶🎸🎤❤️👍🏼👍🏼
The sound is simply spectacular. I've never heard this sound as transparent and full. The first thing I notice is the treble. It is so well rendered that at times it is almost shrill. Those cymbals are incredibly crisp. But this isn't just about that...the music sounds spacious and there's no lack of bottom end, either. There's plenty of definition in the midrange. I am absolutely in awe of just how great this sounds from audio equipment that is almost as old as I am. This has to be the best recording of these 2 songs on all of UA-cam, and quite possibly the entirety of the internet!! Thank you for taking such care and delivering a superb vinyl rip of a very well recorded LP.
Back in the days the Shure M33 cart was the best stereo cart you could buy in USA, in Europe there was the Danish B&O SP1 that was the first stereo cart ever from 1957on. ua-cam.com/video/tbcdzyvFyxk/v-deo.html&t
What a joy! When music was meant to be heard. Who didn't spent afternoons after school just in awe with this master works?
Suena increíble... Para oírla una y mil veces!!! 👌
Every time when I Heard this imcomparable music, return the time when I was falling in love for a beautiful girl in 1980 .
Lovely, lovely vintage sound.
Otherworldly quality. I’ve heard this song thousands of times and it’s never sounded better than it does here. Thank you!
Simply the best version I heard wow
This is a spike of pure music right into the veins
A brilliant song, the purity of vinyl on your wonderful table, through my beyerdynamic DT 770 Pros, in a dark room, every distraction cut away. Glorious.
Finally found the greatest version of these songs on UA-cam. 🙏🏼👍🏼
Fantastic sound quality, recording and camera work. You are your fancy turntable can take on the world.
I wholeheartedly agree… Wait, whaaaaat…

En Verdad, tiene Un Excelente Sonido, Saludos
Can't stop listening to this. Thank you.
Chivers down my spine, it sounds soo good hearing over Chromecast via a Yamaha stereo and Technics speakers. 🎼🎶📢
Thanks ;-) Thats the good old German 1960s broadcast quality ;-)
Impressive sound, thanks for sharing ❤
Still have my original German Miracord 660 turntable with a Shure V15 Type III cartridge bought decades ago while I was in college. Everyone thought I was crazy spending that amount of money playing it through a cheap Radio Shack amp and speakers at the time. BUT, I still have the turntable and every vinyl record I ever bought playing through the best system money can buy today!
Sounds amazing and what a beautiful turntable!
Never really liked this song until now. I feel like I’m hearing it properly for the first time.
The real good old broadcast quality ;-)

It would be great if I could find the proper words to do justice on how wonderful this turntable sounds. Many thanks for sharing.

listening on Klipsch La Scalas and this is a super recording. Wow. Great channel
Insisto...
Es una de las mejores canciones que he escuchado in my life! ❤️
Damn...to think all that beauty comes from little grooves. Wow.
If anybody knows how to make a good record, it's Alan Parsons. I'm sure back in 1982 people were playing their vinyl on similar equipment. That being said, this sounds about as good as I've ever heard it. I have a really good setup at home and it sounds remarkable on that too, but this is just incredible.
The good old german studio sound :-)
i feel like i'm 13 again hearing music properly for the first time. thank you for your work
You are very welcome, its the good old 1960s broadcast quality sound, most modern turntables and phonostages have major problems with broadcast or even real Hifi quality reproduction, high end does not mean great sound, mostly only a high price :-)
This is just unbelievable. And it only shows that old age, doesn't matter in electronics, unless it s something newer from the digital age.

Thank you, I enjoyed that immensely....and will do again...and again I am sure.
Herzlichen Dank lieber Freund. Du bist der Grösste. Vom Feinsten.
Best ever upload of this APP song. That Shure m33 is great, what I have is m91e on an early 70's Pioneer.
I have just heard the song "Eye in the Sky" from the official channel of The Alan Parsons Project, and the vinyl version is superior. Good turntable.
Got myself a new headphone amp for my B&W P7's....... oh hell.... this sounds good my friend !!!! I hope that you are keeping well
Listened to this on my Allison Model Ones from 1975.....FAN-FREAKING--TASTIC sound. Thanks for the upload! Spot on clean highs, dynamic range is beautiful.
Sounds absolutely amazing!!! Thank you very much!!! 🙌🏻
WOW --- nice setup :-)
I feel something inexplicable when I listen to this song...😯😯😯😯😮😦😧😳
Hahaha.... I am one of the few who truly know frequencies and sound. I
can literally blow out my windows of my house with the prelude of this
song. Vinyl and tube amps rule sound reproduction PERIOD
What's the frequency Kenneth
rattling windows is fun :-))))
@@allanstanley2181 The low frequency this prelude drops to is 30Hz
I used to think the vinyl cats were crazy but if vinyl is an addition to this recording I'm a believer. Brilliant sound for a brilliant song.
I went to see APP in Dortmund Westfalenhalle in the late 90's, and this was the first track they played, it was an unforgettable night.
This clearer than angels tears!!
I have this vinyl...
This sound has nothing like it... Alan Parson's is a super band without a doubt...
My album has the same cover, but the golden color doesn't shine in relief like yours.
I have practically all vinyls from alan parson's before I start, I only have them on CD
I have seen another upload by someone playing this on a Technics 1200G turntable with an Audio Technica AT AR9 MC cartridge on another UA-cam channel ua-cam.com/video/kGaaDDGza5U/v-deo.html . In comparison I think your turntable with a good old Shure M33/7 moving magnet cartridge easily beats the other guys Technics and Audio Technica setup in terms of depth, clarity and being a joy to listen too. The Audio Technica AT AR9 cartridge sounded lifeless on the other guy's video compared to yours. Keep up the good work!
The good old vintage equipment from the 1960s ;-)
timeless sound.
Und gerade Alan Parsons Project! Mag ich so wieso!
Una de las mejores canciones del siglo 20.
Love listening to your channel. Glad I found it. Amazing sound.
Wonderful sound, my friend.👌👌
I'm a huge fan & follower of all your works....keep it up Schlipperschlopper
and thanks for your uploads. Will look forward to more of your uploads, jazz fusion, more of 70's 80's hits :)
You are very welcome :-) Thanks so much
Good music~ Sound wonderful!!!!!!
Great sounding turntable. Much better than most. There is a little Wow and Flutter stuff going on but, hey... its a mechanical analog device.
Most excellent! Thank you.
Can you please stop keeping me awake listening to all your beautiful FUCKING music!?!??!?!?!??!?!??!?!??!
Wow man! Thanks for the special track
Amazing single. Great ! Lovely !
Thank you :-)
Why does this sound so good? It's a video of a vinyl record.
Hi, because the record (1rst edition dutch pressing) was played on one of Germanys best vintage broadcast turntables and recorded on a superb german made professional analogue reel to reel tape recorder UHER ROYAL DELUXE from 1971 and than mixed separately with the Full HD video content on a semi professional video- / soundcard combination. Also very important, the HQ M33 studio cart and vintage phonostage quality. (Germanium solid state) Alltogether this is the good old 1960s /1970s radio broadcast quality from Germany.
Wonderful sound. Thank you for uploading this!
Wow Excellent sound
The good old original 1960s broadcast playback quality ;-)
Powerful intro mellow song! I'm confused 🤣😁 great sound.

Gran joyita del rock progresivo
Wow. Amazing system
Sounds fabulous!
Thanks ;-) This is the good old studio broadcast sound you can still get with good old vintage equipment and a good 1960s / 1970s discrete built phonostage, most modern (even those so called highend) items do not sound this detailled and powerfull. I think that especially the modern phonostages with cheap Chinese made SMD components (OP amps!) miss this clarity and bass energy.
this sounds incredible.
Mr. S (that's you Schlipperschlopper) recently schooled me on cleaning vinyl (which was so necessary for battle weary high school records that are now 40 years old LOL) and I LOVE alternating between my fairly extensive record collection and my cds, most of which sound lovely on my Roksan K3 player. I will ALWAYS prefer vinyl, but aside from my "six-eyes" "Kind of Blue" original (I know, its redundant) Columbia pressing--and a few other choice records--my most treasured piece of music is the superb "Miles Davis Quintet 1965-1968" 6-CD Box Set.
Great news when rubbing dry (counterclockwise in circular movements) after flushing away the dishwashing soap with slightly warm tap water, only use HQ (non dusting) kitchen papertowels like Zewa, never use Toilet paper or fabric towels! ;-)
Excelente sonido.
Fabulous sound
Shure are great needles. But I wore all of mine out. I bought a $200 one for $100 and a $100 one for $55 and you could really hear the difference but the diamond wears down. Were these locked away for years? Preserved? At the start we get a good look at the agedness of it. But still sounds great. Curious. For a few years the more $$ needle would skip over deep grooves, etc. but after a while....
The softness of everything....all under control. The voice, the driving rhythm of the drums (so sweet) and the guitar effortlessly showing exactly what it must do through the entire song. What more can i say than: Long life to analog and dynamic recordings made with passion and love.
Thanks for the comment :-) This is the good old original 1960s broadcast sound quality only using original restored vintage equipment ;-) I am sure that even older 1957-1959 stereo vacuum tube stuff would work great if properly restored.

Bertelsmann Pressing (vintage from the 70s dont now the year) but made in Holland (I believe made at Philips plant). Dutch Pressings are the best together with Japanese ones.
@@Schlipperschlopper oh, to be honest I don't like very japanese pressing because it miss bass frequencys on EQ. In this cases I preferer American or Canadian pressing...
@@israelfwm I always thought Japanese pressing is the best. But I’ve Heard the same thing as you mentioned
I'm amazed! Although it seems a bit fragile for use in a radio studio back in the day. Perhaps I'm too much used to the 930's :-)
Hi ;-) , this table is very heavy completely made from alloy materials and not fragile at all, its just old german quality fine mechanical engineering, and this was primarily made for mobile broadcast purposes on european radio and TV vans that were VW and Hanomag Vans of the 1960s with tiny interior so the table had to be quite compact in size. In Germany the PE33 is well known as the "Westentaschen EMT" = "Pocket EMT" table (EMT were the full size giant Broadcast table used in the radio studios all over Europe) Few of the PE33 were sold with plinth to wealthy very demanding Hi-Fi enthusiasts.
