Fantastic! I'm the son of a cattleman, and to me this knife is the epitome of cool. I've never seen a cattle knife with five blades before! Thanks very much for the look at this one, buddy. And cheers to the old fella that you got that knife from!
Camillus/Kastor was a supplier for Sears Roebuck in the 1930s so that is a possibility. Really some pretty bone on that thing. Most likely that's 1095 Carbon Steel. Thanks for sharing! Really cool!
Thanks. The dimensions and bolsters all seem to most closely match Camillus scouts from the era so I believe they made it. Regardless it’s a neat piece. I have some really cool Camillus and scout stuff coming. A new rabbit hole.
It’s really cool. Having the four blades plus the punch is neat. I’ll try and put up a pic of the catalog page but it was simply sold as a five blade cattle knife.
Cool story, it couldn't have gone to a better person, someone who appreciates a knife for what it is and has been. May be it's worth keeping a note book with the story behind each knife you own for when the day comes that your collection is passed on?

Beautiful old knife with a great history, good to know it will be looked after in its retirement!
never thought of a cattleman's knife in this form, fantastic shape for its age, thanks for showing it to us!
It’s a unique layout for sure. Normally they’re just three blades. I knew I had to get it the moment I saw it.
You could say this knife has ended a few family lines😂
Very cool! What a great story with that lovely thing!
Yeah. I bought the knife but paid for the story.
What a fun video! And such a good argument to buy quality and use the knife you love.
That is a very special knife,lo e the story and man it's a looker.thanks for sharing.atb paddy
awesome knife! It looks pretty good for whittling aswell.
It would be a fine whittler for sure.
Pete I thought a 4 bladed Congress was great but 5 blades WOW.
