    Your coral cobra is so funny. She can never strike the pinkie the first time. She misses like at least 10x before she finally gets it. Not for lack of trying or energy though. She is such a funny little snake. And cute, too!

    Wow, I never saw any of your videos before, glad I stumbled onto this looking for something else. I kept rattlesnakes decades ago, 4 different species - Colorado desert sidewinder, red diamond, western and banded rock. The temptation to trust them fully got the best of me on one occasion, where a banded rock tagged me instead of the thawed mouse due to me getting too comfortable when servicing the cages. Luckily the bite was dry. From then on I had to make sure to always assume a bite was possible and to not deviate from proper precautions no matter how tame the snake has become. I think rattlesnakes are generally more intelligent it seems, they seem to figure out routines better than many commonly-kept snakes. Your snakes are outstanding!

And when they finish they have a few yawns to fix them back up."

    Snakes always have to eat their meal from the head? I would think it doesnt matter to them if its the head or butt first? Kinda curious

    • @daemonember
      @daemonember 5 років тому

      Goes down easier head first usually. With the fur or scales slides better with it than against. If you have a dog or cat pet out with the fur then try against. Unless they have really really short hair you'll notice a huge difference. Plus more creatures have a smaller head than butt.

    • @cathyt144
      @cathyt144 5 років тому

      ricecakejohnson they eat head first because of the way their own bodies are made, if they get thevhead in first it allows easier passage for legs and rest of the body plus eating the head first of prey insures they wont get bitten by the prey. If it happens to still be alive. They sometimes will even attempt to eat their own tails in their excitement and the odor from prey being on them. and sometimes will strike at themselves due to molting and diminished eyesight mistaking it for prey. Google ouroboros. Also, go to Rob Motts utube channel. Theres a video of a snake attempting to swallow itself Its pretty graphic and sad too.

    If they have no chance at life no reason to not feed them off. Circle of life. Survival of the fittest etc. On that note I would prefer not to have them fed live. For some reason rats and mice I don't care but other snakes I do. Maybe because I like snakes more than rodents.

    • @lisathomas7985
      @lisathomas7985 5 років тому

      Not so sure Will would actually live feed them. He in fact has a python that he rescued and raised in that venumous room lol. And Kevin the Kings always trying to get to it when Chandler pulls him out. So I think he'll maybe kill them and then feed them off. I hope so too at least. :( I get sad when snakes die. Kevin eats a lot of frozen and thawed snakes. Mostly pythons. They freeze them to kill any parasites that could hurt him that they picked up in the everglades. But since those were from a breeder I doubt they carry anything that could hurt the snakes theyll feed.

    Question : why does the snake still rattle whilst eating? To warn off others from stealing the prey? Surely not???

    • @lisathomas7985
      @lisathomas7985 5 років тому

      I think...Ive noticed anyways....that they rattle just because a human is around. Theyre scared of Will, his camera.....his existence. In ALL the millions of hours of footage Ive seen ALL of them rattle that way.
      SNAKES ANY SNAKES arent mean. They dont attack us out of bordom. The are AFRAID of us. And so they wiggle that rattle anytime we get close. Wheither its the camera or the human. Theyre saying.... "Hey uh Im here and I dont want you here. Please move or Ill have to bite you because you can kill me. I do not want to die. LISTEN IM DOWN HERE!!!" Pretty much "Eh! IF YOU COME ANY CLOSER ILL BE FORCED TO TAG YOU!! PISS OFF!! PLEASE??"
      They dont bite us to be dickholes. They do so because WE are the apex predator. WE trump ALL animals because we can think, plot, use tools ect. And some of the other animals have ways to kill or maim us. Just to balance the scales. Pretty frickin cool I think lol

    i worry about that coral cobra. what if she had struck you when you looked under the skull? i know they kinda have to chew on you to inject venom... but i dig ya dude. id hate to see ya take a bite!!! thanks for the video!!!

      He was fine he grabbed the skull from the top even if she was under it actually biting him would have been difficult even if she was in the top of the skull she'd have to exit to bite him. Plus like you said she'd have to get het gnaw on to envenomate and even them is still unlikely unless she got the webbing between the pointer and thumb.

    It's great that these deformed snakes can be of use. It's a shame to just let them go to waste. There's nothing wrong with using them as feeders.
