You know, when you going around skeleton farming with Lich and vampires, you could split your vampire stack into two. This way, your lich stack can attack first and take out the middle shooting stack, then your two vampi stacks can each block two enemy shooting stacks, and you won’t suffer any losses to your skeleton stack.
I recently found your channel and binged all of the HoMM2 content. I must say, this new video is a major improvement in style and presentation. Keep up the great work! It's good to see you improve as a player of the game as well as a host for the channel.

Great video !! Question, how at approx 1:00.42 do you teleport from one teleporter to another without moving ? I never quite figured that out in this title :(
Ross, why do you always pick experience from chests instead of gold when you complained of how expensive the necromancer troops were and you had to wait several turns just to afford them? Since you were steamrolling so m any map creatures and taking fights as a necromancer to build the skeleton army, experience were coming your way anyhow. Is it a force of habit or actually one of those pro strategies. I usually pick experience for the first few chests just to get a few level up and get some skills rolling, but can't say I have ever been the best at Heroes of M&M-games. Genuinely curious.
Have you played the HOMM3 mod that changes HOMM3 to HOMM2? THe Succession Wars. It's a bit buggy (I tried doing a campaign and the game exited) but I like it. The strangest difference is you gain the wait feature while playing HOMM2, so battles change a ton. Two new factions as well. Haven't played it that much but it might have been playing this that made your channel pop up on YT.

THe demon cave is a random chance thing if you fight one on one. You have a 30% chance to have to pay 2500 gold to keep the hero, but the rest of the things you gain stuff.
It's a fun play. I haven't really played too much since I was like 5-6 years old up until a few years ago. I've gotten too old to enjoy the larger maps but the campaigns and smaller maps are fantastic to play. (On larger maps your power snowballs and the AI doesn't keep up well, so you win a lot earlier than it takes to win).
16:40 If your hero is high enough level (lvl10+ I believe) you can fight the demon and have one of two outcomes A.) You win the fight and gain 1,000 exp + 2,500 gold OR B.) You lose the fight and have to pay 2,500 gold to have the demon let you live.
