Great video. I enjoy the history of the real locomotive then the transition to the model. Have a great weekend with your family! Lambo

Yes, Chris, another very well done video. Growing up in Fall River, MA in the early 1970s, I had the mainline run just down the street from my house. It was by this point operated by CONRAIL. I remember the train would rumble by every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. You could actually feel a vibration in the house before the sound of the locomotive could be heard. CONRAIL continued to serve Fall River until CSX took over in 1999. Today, the local freight is handled by the Mass Coastal RR. Thanks for bringing this engine to us in your video, it brought back some fond memories of my earliest exposure to trains.

Sharp looking engine with great sounds. Looks awesome on the layout, it just seems to fit right in. Jason Stucks needs pick up at least two, in both NS and Conrail, lol! Enjoyed the excellent review, Chris! Thank you! Bill B.

Nice. Those were actually fairly nice engines, once they got things sussed out. I would take one of those any day over a Dash-7 or 8. Lionel did a fine job, here. An excellent video, as always.

I'm loving the air hose details on mine. The pilots almost have a late "K-line_esque" look and feel to it.

Can’t go wrong with Conrail Blue! Really like the realism factor they went for with the pilots and other details. Really sharp all around

SD50 Locomotives came with Dash 2 style cabs not a GP35 cab. MTH got this right 15 years ago. The Dash-2 cabs have an overhang on the back of the cab.

I would like to get the Mopac/UP canary unit the story behind these is the MP ordered them before the merger and was delivered after the merger of the UP and MP and why you get the MP/UP scheme. Just got my up sd70aces but im looking into the sd50 one day.

What is your recommendation on how many drops of fluid to put in a engine safety without over flowing?
