MAX (Max Schneider) is a former child actor and singer/songwriter. Jungkook did a little cover of one of his songs some years ago and when Max went to Seoul for a concert, he contacted BigHit for a visit. Suga was the only one available that day and (with the help of a staff member's skills as translator) they bonded over their shared love of music and basketball. Suga is featured on Max's song "Blueberry Eyes"
this song especially the line where he says ‘i hope you don’t forget that giving up decisively also counts as courage’ is so special to me, i remember how i teared up the very first time i read the lyrics, it felt like he speaks directly to me because i was truly there. when you give up on something people looks at you like you are weak but the truth is they don’t know what you had to go through to give up or what it takes to give up in the end. i believe he doesn’t want people to feel guilty about these kind of things anymore and that is truly beautiful.
SUGA is my life coach. His words and voice are such comfort to me. I'm twenty years older than him but I'm in awe of his wisdom and his way with words. He speaks right to my soul.
I am way late to the party, but seeing you reacting to all tracks from AgustD´s D-2 is making me so happy. That´s my ult bias guy, so proud of him every time I see/ hear/ listen to him. Both of his mix tapes are incredible testaments to his beautiful artistry, incredible talent and burning passion for music. I honestly do not think that Yoongi is an artists for everybody, because so many people shy away from difficult topics and laid out honesty. I happen to love it. The rawer, the better. Pick me up cheery viby fruity songs do nothing for me in terms of real help when I hit the ground. Yoongi´s stuff does, I listen, I cry, I feel like he knows me and then I feel better again. Strange how it works. You know how many people attested to "The Last" literally saving their life ? The guy will never know how much his work is helping people all around at all times :-) . There are many great artists in the business, many great rappers, technically skilled, knowledgeable, but there is only one Min Suga. I have never been so taken and so effected by someone´s lyrics and music as Suga does it:-) The tiny savage rapper with courage and moral codex, the man with the most guarded and yet somehow transparent soul. "Burn it"" is one of my faves on D-2.
Notice where this song is placed on the mixtape. '28' he laments about becoming an adult worried about the future, 'Burn It' considers letting go of the past, then 'People' life changes so what? Overall message of anger, worries, and anxiety (all completely relatable) just release yourself from that grasp. "I love the way his mind works." Same Bryan same. Keep rambling 💜
The way he can go from softer songs for female artists to songs like this is his duality. This is one not everyone likes but it’s absolutely my aesthetics sound wise and as always his lyrics hit me very strongly.
Had to watch when I saw which song this was. I knew you'd love it. The mood of this song is so dark and just...lush. I'm 51 and this song speaks to so many people at so many different ages. Yoongi has such a talent of speaking all of our truths in some way or form. All of BTS are special, each with their unique charms and talents, speaking truths is one of Yoongi's.
When this mixtape came out I listened to it a lot and like you, all of his songs I was able to relate to in some way. He did a Vlive in 2020 when this came out and he went over every song and talked about all of them. It was a long Vlive but it was really neat listening to his thought process and when he wrote the songs. I highly recommend you checking it out even if it’s own your own time I think you would really enjoy it!
Yoongi's words are like a comfortable blanket. he wants to get a license on psychological counseling to help people. I bet he will do a great job because just by listening to his songs, in a way gives healing.
I love ‘Burn It’, probably my favourite song on D2. The whole mixtape is great. MAX’s song ‘Blueberry Eyes’ is possibly not your cup of tea but quite sweet. The mv includes his very pregnant wife and the way they represented Suga is guaranteed to make an ARMY smile. They both learned his part in Korean to be able to properly sync to it.
I think you were spot on about ur interpretation about what suga is talking about in this song, he had it rough and I guess growing up he didn’t think himself of such a good person either but I think even wanting to be or thinking about being a person is a sign that you ARE actually a good person, bad people wouldn’t even think about it at all I feel like
-ugh one of my favorite songs ever. A lot of the lyrics Yoongi writes is so relatable. You can also hear some of these lyrics referenced in other BTS songs.
Giving up on a job that was making me sick mentally was one of the hardest things I ever did, and back then I used to think about what other people would say. Years later I'm 100% sure that it was the best decision, and that special line of the song always makes me remember that I did what I could do. Thanks for your reaction!
Yoongi is so relatable. I love how most of his songs are about himself, his feelings and his struggles. He's such a genius. You can check out honsool too from the same album. And I would love your reactions to the mono album by namjoon
Agust D's tracks are so raw and relatable. When i play his songs, it's like even if you are not in the mood to think and be emotional, you'll just suddenly feel reflecting on all the things you did, you as a person, your goals and missions, your success and disappointments. You'll see yourself grounded all of a sudden.
In this song, Yoongi mentions beware of “beginner’s mindset.” I remember seeing this phrase mention in another video. I think it refers to the attitude that if you fail at something, or you don’t meet expectations, that you’ll work harder, do better, so that next time you’ll get it right. In the early days BTS as well as other acts would say “we’ll work hard” as if some kind of affirmation of all they’ve put into their performances. From what I’ve gathered so far, in Korean culture, working hard is seen as a positive attribute. So quitting something you’ve worked so hard for (or your dream), might be seen as a failure by yourself and others. Maybe that’s what Suga is addressing when he says that giving up on your dreams takes courage. Ok, ramblings over lol. This is what Suga’s (and BTS), songs do, they make you think 🤔
I like melody in this song, and I love that Suga goes for darker voice here... Hmm I can't wait fot the last two. In this mixtape there is no bad song, hell there is no good songs, they are all great songs. I love this mixtape it us my everyday go to music.
That would be a sight to see when Yoongi perform these songs live 😍😍 He has a specific way of singing and rapping. Like you can clearly tell, behind all the emotions (aggression, anger, determination), there's a sadness in his voice. In any BTS song you hear... The rap parts. You can clearly point out the difference in 3 of them. Hobi sings with a easy vibe to it. Namjoon sounds intelligent. And Yoongi is always full of emotions. I hope you also notice in naturally one day.
One more thing. RM's MONO. Thats his first mixtape. The boy was going through serious Identity crisis at that time. Listeners to mono even pointed it out like what happened to Namjoon. Please make sure to react to it. There are only 6 or 7 songs in the mixtape. And the song mentioned "RM-Seoul" in description of "Han" a korean concept for mix of sorrow, nostalgia n all... That song is also from MONO. You will like the full mixtape. And Namjoon is singing on it 💕 My personal favourite on that is Forever Rain. React to that too. And keep your tissues ready for that 💯
What you say is so true. I remember the first time I saw the video of Outro:Tear Wembley stadium performance in black Dior. When Suga sang the bridge and he turned to the camera, his face looked so pained and his eyes were like sad and angry at the same time. It left an everlasting impression on me. I’ve never cried or teared up for any BTS song (I don’t let my emotions out easily), but between Yoongi’s expression and J-hope’s closing rap, I will admit I teared up. I never felt more pain and love for them simultaneously.
@@EVECrowley and the back story also makes you feel a certain way about them and their songs. There's so much to everything. Nothing is insincere 🥺💕 My babies 💜 Btw have you listened to Forever Rain. It's about feeling lonely even though you are not alone. Idk why that song affects me so much because I have true friends in my life, and I'm not alone. But still whenever I listen to forever rain, and Namjoon's voice and his analogy to rain as a friend 🥺 it's just something feels broken, something empty in your heart, like there's a space in your soul. And you feel sadness, but a feeling of relief that someone understands you (that someone is Namjoon 💜) Do try the song. With a blank mind though. Because I remember someone saying there was never given any explanation about Mono, listeners are free to interpret it in whatever way based on their current emotions. Do try it 💯
@@BTSArmy.613 thank you. I’ll definitely listen to it. I love Namjoon’s work and words. He’s my first bias because of songs like Joke and Do U and his outstanding rapping skills. But I’ve rarely heard his more introspective songs. I know he’s had mental health issues and in his last v-live (after PTD-LV) he seemed so sad and defeated. My heart broke for him. I sense he’s going through a tough period. I hope it turns around for him soon.
@@BTSArmy.613 hi. I finally got around to hearing RM’s Forever Rain. Such a beautiful and sad song all at once. I hate it that such a beautiful soul as his has to suffer through those feelings. I know it’s not always that way but still I feel for him. Hopefully, these days are better for him. I’m so proud of him and how gracefully he and the other members were when they visited the White House. They deserve everything that’s good in life.
Beautiful song, beautiful and true words. Beautiful that you share your deepest thoughts and feelings. Your approach to the letters that favors another type of communication. Thank you very much. I must say that from this song the phrase always came to me like a shot: "I Hope you don't forget that giving up decisively also counts as courage" Many times we have a hard time letting go and that is also "shadow", sometimes giving up gives us freedom .(Sorry for my English, but I really like your channel and how you present the songs)
thanks for your video. I haven't heard this song for a long time! I shall listen more often from now on as this is such a wonderful collab between MAX and Suga- their styles complement each other to bring out the intensity of emotion for this song I think. I agree with Suga that while it's important to work hard for your goals, it is also important to know when to give up on something and that it is a courageous move because it might be an act of self-preservation or self-care (when others might judge you for 'giving up'). a good(great) life is about balance, isn't it? and there is wisdom and courage in knowing when to fight for something and when to let it go. sometimes you need to burn it all and start over- sometimes something better comes out of the ashes. Suga never ceases to amaze me - he just has this intuitive grasp of human nature at such a young age. 💜
BTS always bring such powerful lyrics when it comes to the chase of a dream - whether it's about not stopping to achieve it, or about stopping when it becomes a detriment to you and stop you from being happy. Along this vein I think you'll really enjoy Tomorrow and Paradise, they both explore these topics so beautifully. Yoongi composed and arranged tomorrow when he was onyl 20 years old!
Your reactions are great to listen to. I appreciate your comments and your take on lyrics. I also enjoy reading many of the comments written by other viewers. Thank you for your channel! 💜
Yes. Whenever I have hard time I just listen to his songs or remember his lyrics.. his song always motivates me.. You should react to 'if comfort was a person it'd be Min Yoongi' by Sugarmyy.. Enjoyed your reaction🐱
i just wanted to say you thank you. i really appriciate that you make reactions to side tracks of d2 as for my mind they are much deeper than the main track, but it's okay - the main one has to be heavy enough and catchy. i hope you will also check out his first mixtape too (especially ''the last''. i saw a lot of people hoping the same). i think you will be able to coralate it. i would be really happy if you check out first love too. it's a real masterpiece. thanks for your reactions once again. good luck!
Cool song! I haven’t heard it before! You were talking about how everyone seems totally fine but nobody is doing 100% well, - and you intelligently brought up Jung and mask wearing… my thought was you probably are with other men and men usually don’t talk to each other much so you never know what’s really going on!
