Btw, its a good trick to keep in mind with Joy: You can stack up on a nearby creep or minion so that you can enter the clash AND IMMEDIATELY cast your ult.

Hanabi got buffs that made her even better after the revamp, which is faster Skill 2 and Ult, as well as Cc Immunity from ANY SHIELD EFFECTS, not just her skill 1 Also, this is quite Unrelated but Twilight Armor got a passive rework, Sea Halbeard, Dominance Ice, Rose Gold Meteor, Necklace of Durance got buffs
What I like about Joy is that she really is a nuisance during team fights. She can disrupt the hell out of the enemies when they're clumped together and she can easily reach the backline. Plus, the beat of Joy, the music, which I really love. Even with the slight adjustment on her, I could still say that she's still an amazing hero, plus she's more *"bursty"* now.
As you mentioned around the 5mins mark, Joy does fall off greatly in the late game onwards. That's why I've always only used her as a sidelaner, with vengeance and 1 or 2 defensive items. Queen Wings imo is a must since its spell vamp passive also works for magic damage. All that helps her greatly not only against marksmen in the late game but also during the entirety of the game in teamfights. And with her most recent buffs/nerfs? I'm already planning on building her 3 offensive and 3 defensive items, it'll be absolutely nutty.
Arcane Boots Genius Wand/Glowing Wand Concentrated Energy Oracle Holy Crystal/Divine Glaive Bruteforce Breastplate This build seems to be the best all around, in most situations. But now that her shield gain is nerfed, then probably replacing Oracle with Queen's Wings is the right choice.
These adjustments were to resolve that issue her late game now is solid I only build one defensive item either queen's wing or dominance ice and with the new Twilight armor I can use that to avoid getting bursted before I even do my second dash
Beto, a important tip about using hanabi is using her s1 when engaging fights or after you start getting hit, she gets a movement buff, attack speed increase and recently she gets cc immunity from all shield sources, not only her s1. She is a great hero and early game she can counter so many heroes, lesley would be a problem when she goes for berserker's fury as her first item then endless battle + thunder belt. Btw lesely with the build i gave can easily hit 2k true dmg with her passive + S1 combo. She would fit the assassin tip with the dmg she can deal. Since i loved hanabi even before the rework the rework did her well with the extra attack speed + shield. I feel like she still needs her S2 reworked and her ULT get a speed increase. In rest she can even solo karrie if you play her well in 1 vs 1. If you use inspire she can melt any tank with the attack speed build. I would also suggest getting windtalker before golden staff because she has a chance to crit which could be decent dmg early game. Build i would suggest for her is: either attack speed/cc decrease/physical dmg reduction, dhs, corrosive scythe, windtalker, golden staff, brute force breastplate. For items i would suggest going from boots first, then crossbow then dhs. After dhs finish building the corrosive scythe (if the enemies hit to hard get brute force breastplate right after that). The windtalker and golden staff. For emblem i would suggest the one that gives you hp + movement speed once a few seconds since is a solid escaping/engaging option. Also the extra movement speed from windtalker + brute force breastplate go quite well. You could also replace the boots with wind of nature for extra heal + attack speed at full build or sea halberd/athenta's shield/radiat armor/oracle.

Incidentally, that same problem Joy has against late game marksman also makes it easier to use Vengeance efficiently in teamfights, unlike its other users like Thamuz, Belerick, or Gatotkaca. The best time itself is around your 2nd or 3rd dashes, which usually is the time marksman either run from you or man up to you, in which case Vengeance could solve the latter case
Guin was the first hero to help me breach Mythic for the first time. After that, I got accustomed to the gameplay and can now climb with any role or hero.
So as a Joy main, I feel very happy seeing you play her. Although she is usually weaker in the late game, with the right timing and ultimate use, you can easily destroy the enemy team even in the very late game. Her passive makes boots pretty useless to her unless you're jungling ofcourse. She can also basically instant kill any marksman without magic defense items in less than 3 seconds with her ultimate. Joy can also just come in when the enemy team unleashes all their skills during the teamfight and wipe them out. And also, you can go into towers and kill your enemies pretty easily with her new passive. (As long as you are more ahead of the enemy.) Btw, Phoveus isn't really a counter to Joy because of her high mobility, she can just avoid his ultimate with the right timing of her dash. And maybe even waste Phoveus' ultimate. The only counters I know of is Khufra, Franco, Kaja, Minsitthar, and Akai, they can cause Joy immense pain during her dashes.
Here's a few tips for those who wish to play joy more efficiently and better -In late game pre dash once or twice before entering the team fight to be able to cast ult in the middle of the chaos -She is very tanky later on because of her ult extra def+Healing -Her Shield and lifesteal is only accessible if you perfect beat so try your best to get all beats -DONT ENGAGE AGAINST THE ENEMY DPS LATE GAME you will be taken down in seconds -She can screw around against melle heroes due to her being hard to hit -While doing a dash focus on the battlefield instead of the beats because hitting something is more important than getting it perfect -Her movement speed comes from her hitting a creep or hero poking one with your first skill can help you run/chase -Be agressive joy is ONE of the strongest early game characters she will insta burst mm's and mage's no difficulty -Her best spell is vengeance to not be bursted or execute to Ks (Kill secure) -Her best build is a burst build with 1/2 def items Build: Arcane boots Genius wand Ice queen wand (Good for keeping enemies close to you and utility late game) Divine glave Holy crystal Blood wings (You can change items for defense if needed) Best def: Brute force Oracle Queens wings

@@Ecko-be4ho Blood wings is a good replacement for more survivability with good damage scaling too Queems wings is especially amazing if you want to be even tankier but at the cost of it's cd having to be up In glowing wands case the reason IQW is considered better is due to it's utility since late game joy will be able to only burst the MM which is sometimes impossible because you get outbursted It's good for damage but if you want a late game utility item IQW will allow you to super slow everyone in a very short amount of time

honestly while people will see the tests in the patch videos of other youtubers as think "ohh slightly less damage Joy is dead!" she is so much better then before because the main reason you had to rely on all that survivability you get from the shield you passive gave you your time to kill is so much faster to the point it doesnt matter
i think Joy’s ult and other skills are maximized with concentrated energy, genius wand, & especially the glowing wand since its residual damage is not reduced as opposed to joy’s ultimate having a damage decay. then the remaining item slots can be used to counter enemy’s comp
I like the joy with more dashes much better. I used to be able to use a particular build comp which i actually dont see anyone else use. It was so op like even in late game i will not be killed at all. Like they literally cant kill me at all unless i dont have my 2nd skill and its 1v5. She was so op. I wish she still has her 5 dashes....
5:31 after the revamp of hanabi, hanabi is quite scary even in the early game, in my opinion her revamp is like a huge buff on her, she can exchange blows quite well and if not taken care early she can pretty much dominate the game.

She is probably the nuttiest hero to solo rank with in the history of ML so far. If you manage to master her, it's plausible to reach Mythical Glory with a winrate of 80%+ using only her, even 90% if you're lucky with teammates for the season. The best part is she's usable in 3 roles; EXP (best), mid, and jungle.

I learned more about Joy in this video. I usually learn heroes by trying them for a few times but I can't seem to grasped Joy's potential. For me, her damage output is just to weak.
most people who think Joy is weak usually fall into 3 categories 1. people who cant seem to grasp her on beat dash mechanic 2. run into Joy's in either classic or in the lower ranks who arent as experienced with the hero or 3. part of the doom says on youtube comment sections saying (insert small adjustments) will kill (insert) hero
After the adjustment her damage definitely improved and casting her ult is a lot easier and faster. I have tried her and i can burst squishy heroes before even casting my ult. You just need to cast 2nd skill on last beat. the way i do it is to cast it a bit after the "clapping" sound in the background. Headphones are recommended but I don't use them to practice not too relying on them.
Joy is still OP, but in higher ranks, she might have a harder time compared other exp-laners or junglers simply because she cannot fare well against a well drafted team composed of solid or even META Heroes. I want to request to try Esmeralda, I rarely see her picked right now especially when Alice just got really good and a lot of heroes like Fredrinn, Melissa, and many more heroes that were once just ok/solid/good, is now meta are getting more popular Edit: Other than the usual joy counters like Minsithar, Khufra, Franco, Kaja, and Phoveus. I also still remember, that in the mid to late game, a good Esmeralda or Alice player (with magic defense items) can actually be a good soft counter to Joy because they can suck the life out of joy (or shield with Esmeralda), like Chou, Joy relies on skills in order to be effective and it's not full continuous damage like a typical marksman
Melissa and Wanwan are other "secret counters" to Joy. Melissa's ult can mess her dash up, and Wanwan is hard to hit, on top of Joy being an easy target for her ult stacks.
Seeing Betosky spam her dash on the buff hurts my eyes lmao. Landing the perfect beat gives you double damage and upgrades the ults damage and lifesteal by a giant amount
so true when he used his ult to clear the blue buff when theres a teamfight/small clash he could turn the tides of is on the map is also equally painful
betosky, u can fix that super late game enemy dps bursting you down because you can't complete the timed dashes by using the 2nd skill on a nearby creep near the teamfight twice, then use first skill as an extender for your second skill, then lastly, u can aim the last timed dash anywhere and then u can do significant amount of damage to the main DPS without highly risking yourself of dying, you can just retreat after either killing main DPS or just doing significant dmg to the main DPS
I think that the Tweeks on joy are made to make her fit her assassin role better, now she really packs a punch, while also being less tanky then her old self, but beto said it right, she works better with specific team comps, i one time played vs a Franco, who kept saving his ult just for me, the team took notice and just glued themselves to him, practically made me completely useless.
Joy's ulti immune to control effects while it lasts, why Nana's 2nd skill worked on Betosky at 8:20? I've just come back to play MLBB again and learn how to play Joy. Idk if her ultimate got changed or not compared to Joy with new talent system.
Okay so I been maining Joy ever since her “Nerf” or “adjustment” Most use vengeance but NO, I recommend Petrify. You can use it and use your ult to do burst damage to ton of enemies.
If opponent pick buff dependent hero like fanny ling hiyabusa then joy is a good pick. She can steal the buff in a flash. Also a hybrid build with 2 defense iteam and vengeance she is quite good as exp.

Hanabi didn't receive any buff yet, all they did was to make some adjustments to her 1st skill that gives shield, now other players seemed to spam Aegis while using her it's truly annoying.

Build i would suggest for her is: either attack speed/cc decrease/physical dmg reduction, dhs, corrosive scythe, windtalker, golden staff, brute force breastplate. For items i would suggest going from boots first, then crossbow then dhs. After dhs finish building the corrosive scythe (if the enemies hit to hard get brute force breastplate right after that). The windtalker and golden staff. For emblem i would suggest the one that gives you hp + movement speed once a few seconds since is a solid escaping/engaging option. Also the extra movement speed from windtalker + brute force breastplate go quite well. You could also replace the boots with wind of nature for extra heal + attack speed at full build or sea halberd/athenta's shield/radiat armor/oracle.

Joy is strong from early to mid but at late game she can easily get burst down by a marksman that's why I always pick the spell vengeance
Incidentally, that same problem Joy has against late game marksman also makes it easier to use Vengeance efficiently in teamfights, unlike its other users like Thamuz, Belerick, or Gatotkaca. The best time itself is around your 2nd or 3rd dashes, which usually is the time marksman either run from you or man up to you, in which case Vengeance could solve the latter case

I know Joy's musics. I'm talking about the additional musics.
So as a Joy main, I feel very happy seeing you play her. Although she is usually weaker in the late game, with the right timing and ultimate use, you can easily destroy the enemy team even in the very late game. Her passive makes boots pretty useless to her unless you're jungling ofcourse. She can also basically instant kill any marksman without magic defense items in less than 3 seconds with her ultimate. Joy can also just come in when the enemy team unleashes all their skills during the teamfight and wipe them out. And also, you can go into towers and kill your enemies pretty easily with her new passive. (As long as you are more ahead of the enemy.)
Btw, Phoveus isn't really a counter to Joy because of her high mobility, she can just avoid his ultimate with the right timing of her dash. And maybe even waste Phoveus' ultimate. The only counters I know of is Khufra, Franco, Kaja, Minsitthar, and Akai, they can cause Joy immense pain during her dashes.

Joy can immune khufras 2nd skill, and you forgot about minsi which basically kills the "joy" out of her

Here's a few tips for those who wish to play joy more efficiently and better
-In late game pre dash once or twice before entering the team fight to be able to cast ult in the middle of the chaos
-She is very tanky later on because of her ult extra def+Healing
-Her Shield and lifesteal is only accessible if you perfect beat so try your best to get all beats
-DONT ENGAGE AGAINST THE ENEMY DPS LATE GAME you will be taken down in seconds
-She can screw around against melle heroes due to her being hard to hit
-While doing a dash focus on the battlefield instead of the beats because hitting something is more important than getting it perfect
-Her movement speed comes from her hitting a creep or hero poking one with your first skill can help you run/chase
-Be agressive joy is ONE of the strongest early game characters she will insta burst mm's and mage's no difficulty
-Her best spell is vengeance to not be bursted or execute to Ks (Kill secure)
-Her best build is a burst build with 1/2 def items

Queems wings is especially amazing if you want to be even tankier but at the cost of it's cd having to be up
In glowing wands case the reason IQW is considered better is due to it's utility since late game joy will be able to only burst the MM which is sometimes impossible because you get outbursted
It's good for damage but if you want a late game utility item IQW will allow you to super slow everyone in a very short amount of time

i think Joy’s ult and other skills are maximized with concentrated energy, genius wand, & especially the glowing wand since its residual damage is not reduced as opposed to joy’s ultimate having a damage decay. then the remaining item slots can be used to counter enemy’s comp
I like the joy with more dashes much better. I used to be able to use a particular build comp which i actually dont see anyone else use. It was so op like even in late game i will not be killed at all. Like they literally cant kill me at all unless i dont have my 2nd skill and its 1v5. She was so op. I wish she still has her 5 dashes....
Betosky, for the last dash, you can aim it at the air and it will still register , so u can time it even if enemies are no close to you

5:31 after the revamp of hanabi, hanabi is quite scary even in the early game, in my opinion her revamp is like a huge buff on her, she can exchange blows quite well and if not taken care early she can pretty much dominate the game.

Actually Hanabi received 2 indirect buffs. With buffed Aigies more shild and lower cool down. And buffed rose gold meteor. Global 5 here ;)
She is probably the nuttiest hero to solo rank with in the history of ML so far. If you manage to master her, it's plausible to reach Mythical Glory with a winrate of 80%+ using only her, even 90% if you're lucky with teammates for the season. The best part is she's usable in 3 roles; EXP (best), mid, and jungle.
She can even be played mid, cuz she isn't really weak in early.

I learned more about Joy in this video. I usually learn heroes by trying them for a few times but I can't seem to grasped Joy's potential. For me, her damage output is just to weak.
Bruh Joy is strong just last hit beat on second skill and ult, the damage is insane
most people who think Joy is weak usually fall into 3 categories
1. people who cant seem to grasp her on beat dash mechanic
2. run into Joy's in either classic or in the lower ranks who arent as experienced with the hero
or 3. part of the doom says on youtube comment sections saying (insert small adjustments) will kill (insert) hero
After the adjustment her damage definitely improved and casting her ult is a lot easier and faster. I have tried her and i can burst squishy heroes before even casting my ult. You just need to cast 2nd skill on last beat. the way i do it is to cast it a bit after the "clapping" sound in the background. Headphones are recommended but I don't use them to practice not too relying on them.

Joy is still OP, but in higher ranks, she might have a harder time compared other exp-laners or junglers simply because she cannot fare well against a well drafted team composed of solid or even META Heroes. I want to request to try Esmeralda, I rarely see her picked right now especially when Alice just got really good and a lot of heroes like Fredrinn, Melissa, and many more heroes that were once just ok/solid/good, is now meta are getting more popular
Edit: Other than the usual joy counters like Minsithar, Khufra, Franco, Kaja, and Phoveus. I also still remember, that in the mid to late game, a good Esmeralda or Alice player (with magic defense items) can actually be a good soft counter to Joy because they can suck the life out of joy (or shield with Esmeralda), like Chou, Joy relies on skills in order to be effective and it's not full continuous damage like a typical marksman
I tried esmeralda yesterday. She's so good I literally did a 3v1 and still won with one hp bar left
Melissa and Wanwan are other "secret counters" to Joy. Melissa's ult can mess her dash up, and Wanwan is hard to hit, on top of Joy being an easy target for her ult stacks.

Why do you build bloodlust axe on hanabi instead of hass claws???
you dont have to stand on top of the first skill to use it, put it in front of you and then dash towards it, its more effective
betosky, u can fix that super late game enemy dps bursting you down because you can't complete the timed dashes by using the 2nd skill on a nearby creep near the teamfight twice, then use first skill as an extender for your second skill, then lastly, u can aim the last timed dash anywhere and then u can do significant amount of damage to the main DPS without highly risking yourself of dying, you can just retreat after either killing main DPS or just doing significant dmg to the main DPS

I think that the Tweeks on joy are made to make her fit her assassin role better, now she really packs a punch, while also being less tanky then her old self, but beto said it right, she works better with specific team comps, i one time played vs a Franco, who kept saving his ult just for me, the team took notice and just glued themselves to him, practically made me completely useless.

If opponent pick buff dependent hero like fanny ling hiyabusa then joy is a good pick. She can steal the buff in a flash. Also a hybrid build with 2 defense iteam and vengeance she is quite good as exp.
MM always get buffed when they are on the opposing team. It's a passive called home (their side of the map) advantage.

Hanabi didn't receive any buff yet, all they did was to make some adjustments to her 1st skill that gives shield, now other players seemed to spam Aegis while using her it's truly annoying.
