- Watch as I construct a Popsicle tower that maximizes compression resistance! 🌟 Made with 84 craft sticks and standing 31 cm (12-3/16") tall, this vertical structure features four columns with ties and alternating diagonal braces. Learn how lateral bracing enhances compressive strength and prevents buckling in slender designs!

Very cool. I've recently been thinking about the design for a DIY scaffold tower, and it has opened my eyes to how difficult it is to design these structures safely. I mean, building a 2D frame is relatively simply once you grasp the basics of struts and ties, but when you move into 3D there's so much more to think about. I had no idea that a simple scaffold could be so interesting !
Thanks man
Can this be done with cylindrical sticks?
You are amazing !! Nice way of spending free time on the passion ! :-)
Amazing
Is this a scaffold
I don't get how to make it. Any advise?
Is this really 84 pieces? 🙏
Yes!
how many load you have applied at last ?
50 pounds.
You gonna have to double click that b!tch you should add a safety climb 😆
