  • I visited and photographed a World War Two training camp in Inverary, beside the shores of Loch Fyne in the highlands of Scotland. In this short film I show the site from above, climbing the nearby hill to look down upon the site today. This film is part of my WW2 series, showing the remains of the conflict in our landscape today.

Still watching this fabulous series you're doing, Chris....What a wonderful place, so quiet and tranquil, yet so powerful, with a history attached that should never be forgotten. You documenting the sites and locations in this run of videos is important work and will hopefully help preserve that history.
Great shots that you captured and I think the post edit/colour-grade, really suits the subject matter. Well done and keep up the good work!

Hi Chris: This was a very interesting video. Thanks for creating and sharing it with your channel. I am really enjoying seeing this project developing. I lived for a short period of time in Espanola, Ontario where they had a German POW Camp inside a Pulp & Paper Mill. The mill is still in operation today. Continued best wishes with your project and I am looking forward to seeing more videos. Cheers, Keith (Canada)

Nice video Chris. Takes me back to many holidays when my kids were small. We stayed many times on an estate a few miles up the road from Inveraray. I wonder whether the castle and lands were used because the Duke of Argyll owned the land and had royal connections?
