A note to anyone considering getting PPF. For the love of god stay clear of stealerships.. go to a shop that specializes in it instead. I haven't even had mine on a year and its already lifting
Wife got hers at the dealership and they told me they just subcontract it out. So most dealerships aren't doing it in house, just ask who they do it through and then make another phone call to that shop and ask what product they use on dealer cars.
My buddy got his Subaru done by the dealership's guy and I used my detailer's guy and it was night and day difference of what I got for the price. We paid the same amount of money and I got a full hood and fenders he got a partial. Also there were huge gaps and outlines on his bumper.
I had some chemical etch into my ceramic coated PPF. Polishing did not help, but applying heat did! Used a blow dryer and that fixed some water spots and etching. Really loving XPELs 10mm film with self healing
Hi Pan, I had my black Tesla protected with PPF, and had ceramic coat applied at the same time. I have been using Mckee’s rinse less wash and Armor coat lite from Avalon King as a drying aid since I washmy car once a week. I also use this product as a maintenance polish once a month. Armor coat lite is really simple to remove and leaves a amazing shine and slickness. Thank you for giving me addition maintenance options. Keep up the great videos Pan!
@Pan The Organizer Hi Pan, this was such a timely video, I recently sold my GLA45 and purchased a brand new Mercedes A45S it will be fully covered in ppf with a ceramic coating so exactly the video I needed to see at this point, thanks Pan 👍 Now I just have the long wait for delivery to get over, hopefully time goes quickly.

Hey Pan, I was wondering if you could make a video a little outside of your normal detailing. Could you try a segment showing the best tips and tricks for keeping a boat looking amazing?
It would be about the same as washing a car. They do have specific shampoo and sealants for boats as those have a different base coating, gel coat as to clear coat
Been using gyeon for 5 years. Regularly used their products gyeon bathe, gyeon ceramicdetailer, gyeon quickdetailer. The gloss and slickness just crazy.

Hi Pan, would it be ok to wash the whole car with the PPF wash from Gyeon if only the front bumper, fenders, hood, and mirrors have PPF? Or should I wash those with the PPF wash and then switch to my usual shampoo for the rest of the car? Thank you for all your super informative videos by the way, I’ve learned a ton through your videos.

Informative video, thank you. I have a 2020 Sienna mini van that has PPF applied over Blizzard White and it shows dirt just under the edges on the hood, front fenders and sideview mirrors. Any way to remove that dirt or mildew from under the PPF?
Whomever installed it did a poor job. They should have wrapped it around the edges going under the hood and out of site. You can try cotton swabs and alcohol Just keep in mind that you want it sitting in the sun to get it to bond back to hood after you have cleaned… Once those edges get damaged they’ll start collecting crap constantly
I’ve just put Gtechniq Halo ceramic coating on my PPF on the door pillars. Time will tell if it helps, so far all seems good. Without a coating the PPF has been a pain to keep clean.
@@PanTheOrganizer I will ask the shop about their surface prep after delivery to have some base data, I just normal wash with some Meguairs speed detailing.
The front of my car has PPF and the rear ceramic coating. I had it done before I found your channel! Next year, I might ceramic coat the PPF. But between now and then, can I use shampoos, cleaners, etc. for ceramic coatings on the PPF? Or PPF shampoos on the ceramic coating. This is just to clean my car every week or so. I guess what I'm asking, what productions for cleaning can be used for both. Thanks!
Just wanted to comment on the ppf maintain longevity. I live in FL, garage kept, air conditioned, white vehicle, Xpel ppf. Without any sort of decon I get around 1-2 weeks. Maybe it'll get rained on 1-3 times, I don't bring it to work so it'll sit outside a shop or something, not all day otherwise it's in the garage, it does shed dirt and debris somewhat but nothing spectacular or to write home about. For a reference I put about 5k miles on the vehicle in one year so I don't drive too often. Full decon(strip wash, ppf wash, ironx with a synthetic clay bar, panel prep) I get 2-3 weeks out of it. VERY disappointing to be honest. I'll use the rest of the bottle but it would have been nice for the price to get something with a little more longevity. I won't be purchasing it again. That being said it really does make the car POP, especially for a white car. Some serious shiny candy look going on and very reflective. Hopefully you see this pan and the manufacturer.
If you want maximum durability, apply a PPF coating. There’s a limit you what sprays can do on PPF. Gyeon themselves only claim 6 weeks durability with this. And usually in the real world, you rarely reach full manufacturer’s claims, for many variables often discussed in my videos. A PPF specific coating should get you 1-2 years of protection. Then use the spray for maintenance. Same principles as for paint products. See my PPF coating tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/7RCgqdGrvrA/v-deo.htmlsi=7wQ86GrlqQ8_pt2V Welcome to my channel. Hi Pan! I recently came across your Chanel and also recently got my new car wrapped in XPEL Stealth (matte) PPF and Ceramic Coated, including on tire, break calipers ect, this video couldn’t be more timely so thank you. I have been looking at Gtechnic products initially vs these products that you mentioned, if I were to go with GTechnic would you be able to discuss which are also safe on PPF/Ceramic Coating, more so would you actually be able to do a full maintenance wash video of a car that has full PPF/Ceramic Coated as that I would love to see! Hope to hear from you in the comments!

I wash my truck once a week with adams meg foam .and use endless shine fallout iron remover .wipe it down with every wash with Geotech C2 liquid crystal .instead of wiping it down I like to use the griots ploy gloss that recently, showed on your channel, will I get the same or better results .you show two products, that caught my eye .griots foaming wash and foaming poly gloss I thought those to products together would might bring the best results .also purchase after your video wet coat which I will try on my wife car which is ceramic coated .I did get your reply on not stacking to many products on ceramic coatings .I would love to hear your advice to make sure that I am properly maintaining my truck .and since you are the master detailer I know that you will have the right answer. Hey Pan, I have PPF and ceramic coatings on my car for about 1.3 years now. And I noticed, they've done a good job on damage protection etc, however, it doesn't shield them from water marks. it's a lot more obvious especially on the hood's PPF. I've washed my car weekly, and yeah, my country has a lot of rain. Almost raining every 1-2 days so it's quite impossible to keep the car dry all the time.. Any tips to solve this water marks problem?
I suggest Xpel Water Spot remover. It's designed for both PPF and ceramic-coated PPF. I use it after every winter to get rid of any traces of mineral deposits and salt. Just spray it on, let it sit for 30-60 seconds, then rinse off.
@@SuperAnonymities it does not, as per Xpel (and on the bottle as well), it's intended to be used on both Xpel PPF, and Xpel PPF with Xpel Fusion ceramic coating.
@@07wrxtr1 correct, CLR has a pH of 2, which means it is 100x more acidic than Xpel Water Spot remover (which has a pH of 4). Thus CLR will strip most ceramic coatings, which can typically tolerate a pH as low as 3.
Great videos as always btw 👍 Quick question? I have a vehicle that has a complete PPF all the car has been protected and it has been installed for about 3 years. It’s in great shape and I maintain it well. The vehicle has extremely low mileage and is kept in a garage quite a lot of the time. Do you have to replace the PPF at some point as I have noticed some people say as the PPF ages it’s more difficult to remove it ? Is this correct. I am concerned about how long the PPF will last before it needs to be replaced for easy enough removal before it becomes too difficult to replace? Any advice of information would be really appreciated Thanks
Salut Pan! J’ai un Jeep avec des vitre de plastic (soft top) et je veux les polirs, protéger et je me demandais si les produit à polir pour PPF pourrait fonctionner ou s’il existe d’autre produit spécifique! Merci de nous partager ta base de connaissances!
You can start with a water spot remover first. You have to neutralize the minerals before attempting to polish. If the water spots aren’t too old or haven’t started etching through the PPF, it’s possible the water spot remover on its own will solve your issues. Here’s a very good water spot remover: bit.ly/3UO1UX4 Wash the car first, then use the water spot remover. Welcome to my channel. Hi Pan, would you recommend pre washing with a spray foam for my PPF, this seems to be the way forwards for non PPF cars but not shore if this necessary for me? If you do, please could you recommend what products I would need in order to carry out the work. Many thanks. Kind regards
A few of them in this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/7RCgqdGrvrA/v-deo.html For the rest, it's pretty much the same as regular paint. Maintenance is the same procedure (iron remover, extra paint protection with the ceramic spray, etc).
Hey is gyeon bug and grime safe to use on ppf? Hows ceramic pro top coat for a ppf? Certified installer here in pakistan uses ceramic pro top coat on xpel How long can bird droppings be left on before they leave a permanent stain? I just got xpel ultimate plus installed and ceramic pro top coat. When can i use gyeon ppf renew? Isot necessary to use ppf wash and maintain from gyeon or i can use any detailers or sealants like from kamikaze polish angel?
Is all DIY PPF pretty much equal today? I've seen 3 that I'm considering. Also, if you choose one with edges, how often do you think you need to "focus" on cleaning edges? Is this something I have to do literally every wash or quarterly or maybe twice a year?
Pan, thanks for this. PPF isn't cheap so maintaining it properly is an issue. If I had to pick one it would likely be that Gtech Halo. But I have a question: my QX80 is a tad over a year old. Always garaged, maybe 6K miles a year. I understand about being careful of the PPF edges, but why would I not just use Turtle Wax ceramic spray followed by a graphene spray since I already have them, and, they're fairly easy to apply. I understand they may not last 2 years but as an alternative every 3-6 months, would that not work?
Thats what I use all Turtle Wax Graphene Pro products and they work great! No need for ceramic coating as they are prone to water spotting and more difficult to remove.

Watching this makes me realize just how grabby PPF is. I picked up a Ridgid compact and in some places it works but in others it sort of just makes the water splay out, I think I really need to coat it to help with drying... MOHS EVO HERE I COME! or Can coat .... still need to buy the stuff to wipe off then polish...Challengers being so large I'd rather spend the extra for 100ML for 2 coats, then do my wheels in one shot in some cases.
Hi Pan, Great video as usual. Just wondering is there any difference between Restart wash and PPF Wash from Gyeon? Sames as PPF Maintain and the almighty Wet Coat? Is the main difference is the product mainly develop for PPF due to the difference from PPF and Paint because how the product will "stick" to the surface?
I'm also having trouble finding the difference online, but it seems PPF Wash and Restart Wash serve the same propose, but PPF Wash is formulated to remove more of the contaminants that get embedded in PPF, while Restart is formulated for coatings/clear coat.
Hi Pan, I am a fan of your channel for many years now. I just bought a new car with PPF. Can I use (after a maintainance wash) The last Coat 2 on this? Ore even Black Ice from TLC? Thanks for your reaction! Regards fro Adri, The Netherlands

Hi Pan, what kind of product would you recommend in case the car is only partially protected with the PPF (front side). I would preferably want to use a single set of products to maintain both the PPF part and the rest of the car at the same time. Is ceramic coating possible to go over the PPF as well?
Hi Pan, Some PPF have ceramic coating infused in their surface (Avery Dennison), can we still apply ceramic coating on the PPF? Can ceramic coating be applied on Matte / Satin PPF? Thank you for all your tutorials
You would have to ask your PPF installer if he feels ok with applying a PPF on top of your coating. Normally, it's the PPF first, and then a coating on top of the PPF. Most PPF coatings (like Gyeon PPF, CarPro Skin and Gtechniq Halo) can be applied on glossy or matte PPF. No problem. Welcome to my channel. Great tips Pan! PPF is always a nice thing to have. I do have a question though. Will using CarPro Reset strip away or deteriorate Ceramic sealants like Hydr02 and Wet coat? I've been perfectly fine with GSF, however, $30 a bottle does get a bit expensive over time...
All the PPF coatings mentioned in this video won’t alter gloss on your matte PPF. Gyeon PPF EVO coating: bit.ly/3lVnham CarPro Skin coating: amzn.to/40s0sKq Gtechniq Halo coating: bit.ly/3Kpth4P
In theory, yes you can clay PPF. However, you should be very careful as traditional clay bars are abrasive. Perhaps use a synthetic clay towel, that won't cause marring, something like this: amzn.to/3JHfrtG And make sure you use a clay lubricant. For polishing, you'd use the same speeds as for paint. You start low to spread (speed 2) and polish using higher speeds (5 or 6) depending on what machine you have. Always do some testing on an inconspicuous area first. Or hire a professional detailer if you're unsure of what you're doing.
Hi Pan I just had STEK DYNO shield applied to the hood fender flares and around the windshield of my Jeep Wrangler. Can the products be used on the paint as well? Since I have a combination of PPF and paint.

@@PanTheOrganizer Your channel came up as a suggestion and I found you have a lot of great content. Now iI am trying to figure out what wash products to us with my half PPF half paint vehicle. I will be purchasing CR Spotless DIC 20 on your suggestion.
I don’t really have an opinion as I don’t apply PPF on my cars. I recently replaced the factory PPF on my Porsche’s real wheel arches though and used XPEL. Video to come soon.
I would be very careful using a clay bar as those are abrasive and could add marring to the PPF, which you'd have to lightly polish afterwards. It would be better to use a synthetic perforated decontamination towel that doesn't have abrasives. See my video on the future of clay: ua-cam.com/video/GK21rRPh1jw/v-deo.htmlsi=AnDVuCFe5xregXr-

Question about pressure washing the car, including the undercarriage. I have a Ryobi 2900 psi pressure washer and a Ryobi water broom rated to 3300 psi. My question is what is too high psi for the undercarriage and what psi would a 40 degree nozzle be. I'm guessing not the full 2900 psi. Thanks.
PPF Maintain has nothing to do with WetCoat. WetCoat is sprayed on a wet surfaced and rinsed off. Very different from a spray on wipe off product. But yes, you can use WetCoat on PPF.

Hey Pan, what's the purpose of PPF? Does it actually protect the car from rock chips? How would I know if the PPF failed to protect the car from rock chips?
@@PanTheOrganizer Unlucky for me, I received 2 chips earlier today (Post PPF). I emailed XPEL to see if I can get the warranty replacement. Just picked up the car from PPF on the 7th. Damn, LOL.
PPF won't stop stone chips from happening. What it does is it prevents the paintwork underneath from getting the stone chips! So the PPF will still get stone chips and scratches, but it will do its job protecting the paint. Hopefully the PPF shop explained this to you?? Case in point, on my own Porsche 911 Turbo S, the rear arches are super wide, and are covered from factory with PPF. After 2 years of driving, the PPF got hammered by stone impacts. We removed the PPF to replace it, and underneath the paint was pristine. Here's that video: ua-cam.com/video/gusUiD9uoW4/v-deo.htmlsi=wh41Fmqw-mESb731
Thanks Pan. The shop did explain in a similar fashion like your first paragraph. Now with the same token. I'm not sure how strong the impact, but one of the dots made a dent on it. Is it something I should be concerned about?@@PanTheOrganizer
Ouch! That must have been a pretty big impact to make it through the PPF. At this point, you'll have to decide if you want to go the dentless paint repair route, or let it be.
Yes, just keep in mind Bead Maker isn't used for long term protection. It just lasts 3-4 weeks on average. We usually use it as a topper over longer lasting protection, to boost gloss and slickness. As long as you're willing to apply Bead Maker regularly, no issues. But the best would be to have a PPF coating, and then use Bead Maker as a maintenance type product. Welcome to my channel. I don’t understand your question. The car is washed, decontaminated, polished, and then the PPF is applied. The ceramic coating is only applied at the end, on top of the PPF.
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks for the reply Pan, much appreciated. Some places say not to pressure wash at all, which wouldn't be ideal for me. Obviously avoid too much pressure, particularly near the edges, but unlike most other things in this hobby (illness) it's not really something we can learn about as we go, as if we get it wrong once, we damage our expensive ppf. Anyway, thanks for all the advice on your channel 👍

Hi Pan, what is the difference between PPF wash and Gyeon restart wash? I’ve been using restart was for my maintenance was once a month. Also should i have Gyeon ceramic detailed or PPF maintain on my car which is PPF and ceramic coated?
Im using geyon ppf wash and yes its same materials in restart and includes iron remover but its more specific for ppf. Also im using ppf maintain spray and its really best for ppf for durability, hydrophobic, slickness and uv protection
Is PPF Maintain Shampoo just a marketing product ? Any other options than Gyeon that contains iron removing technology Will it work the same if im using a normal shampoo like CarPro eraser + Iron remover on my maintenance washes?
Gyeon is a serious top tier brand. They don’t do marketing gimmicks. They have their Restart shampoo that also has light iron removing capabilities. But they only mention its use on “coated surfaces”, so you’d have to ask them if it can work on PPF. But if your vehicle is wrapped in PPF I would just get the PPF shampoo. Or keep it simple and get a pure shampoo like Gyeon Bathe. And use an iron remover once every 3-4 months or as needed depending on your level of iron contamination.

hi i have a question, its been 2 years now i have PPF applied on my car and on top of that i applied 2 layers of Geyon PPF coating, now i feel the hydrophobic properties have immensely diminished thus i want to get my car recoated, so my question is what to do? how do i remove the previous layer on a PPF car and install new layer? Is the procedure same for PPF coated car?
The only way to ensure 100% removal of a previous coating is by machine polishing. So a light polish and polishing pad should do the trick. You'll know you succeeded with the removal when the water won't bead anymore, and will simply be a flat pool of slow sheeting water.

@@edward1927 Bigger ones with collision shops are, but yeah you get what you pay for sometimes.
My buddy got his Subaru done by the dealership's guy and I used my detailer's guy and it was night and day difference of what I got for the price. We paid the same amount of money and I got a full hood and fenders he got a partial. Also there were huge gaps and outlines on his bumper.
And: do the ENTIRE hood or don’t bother!!!
No 1 ever talks about this topic.thanks 4 that good friend
Thanks Richard. I thought I would shed some light on the topic, and make it easy to understand.
I am really happy with my Expel PPF and Gyeon Certified coating. I am only using Gyeon Bathe and Ceramic Detailer to maintain it and it looks amazing.
Hey, which ceramic detailer were you using? Are you still using that?
@ZingerPuffer Gyeon has Ceramic Detailer spray on bottle that you can buy. I just bought one. You can google it up.
Thanks Richard!

It would be about the same as washing a car. They do have specific shampoo and sealants for boats as those have a different base coating, gel coat as to clear coat
I have used those Gyeon PPF products, work perfect 👍. Full hood PPF coated with HALO going on 2-years strong
Thanks for sharing your personal experience!

Gyeon PPF Wash is pH neutral at 7.5, so it's safer than most general car shampoos.

Thank you for the details of the products.Any product you would recommend for waterless wash during the winter months to maintenance the ppf
You can try cotton swabs and alcohol
Just keep in mind that you want it sitting in the sun to get it to bond back to hood after you have cleaned…
Once those edges get damaged they’ll start collecting crap constantly
I’ve just put Gtechniq Halo ceramic coating on my PPF on the door pillars. Time will tell if it helps, so far all seems good. Without a coating the PPF has been a pain to keep clean.
Yeah a coating really makes maintenance much easier.

Thanks!
How did they turn out mate as I have same question

I used a pressure washer to wash my ppf ceramic coated car. Some of the ppf started lifting. Be careful with using pressure washers on the edges of ppf.
It was likely poorly installed, or you used too much pressure. Never exceed 2000 psi when washing cars. I set my pressure washer to 1000 psi.
Has anyone tried the graphene waxes on PPF? Like Turtlewax's new hybrid solutions? (Flex Wax, or Max Wax)
Thanks but Gtechniq doesn’t have all the equivalent products in their lineup to my knowledge. You’d have to check their website and do some research.

@@TheBreakfastLover Does that remove the ceramic coating?
@@SuperAnonymities it does not, as per Xpel (and on the bottle as well), it's intended to be used on both Xpel PPF, and Xpel PPF with Xpel Fusion ceramic coating.
It’s probably just like that CLR stuff you can use in the house for things like showers, shower heads, etc… but probably not as aggressive
Any advice of information would be really appreciated
Thanks

Thanks for the video. I noticed there are some water spot shows on the ppf. Is any better way to remove it rather than polish? Cheers
You can start with a water spot remover first. You have to neutralize the minerals before attempting to polish.
If the water spots aren’t too old or haven’t started etching through the PPF, it’s possible the water spot remover on its own will solve your issues.
Here’s a very good water spot remover: bit.ly/3UO1UX4
Wash the car first, then use the water spot remover.

Yes that would work. As long as you protect the PPF, it's all good. :)

Does the GYEON PPF Wash work for matte PPF as well? I can´t get the Dr. Beasleys shampoo you recommend in your matte specific video.
You’d have to ask Gyeon

Hi Pan, can I clay bar PPF and what speed machine polish should I use?
In theory, yes you can clay PPF. However, you should be very careful as traditional clay bars are abrasive. Perhaps use a synthetic clay towel, that won't cause marring, something like this: amzn.to/3JHfrtG
And make sure you use a clay lubricant. For polishing, you'd use the same speeds as for paint. You start low to spread (speed 2) and polish using higher speeds (5 or 6) depending on what machine you have.
Always do some testing on an inconspicuous area first. Or hire a professional detailer if you're unsure of what you're doing.

Hi man, thanks for your recomends and tips..and what about claying ppf?? Whats your opinion? Thx :)
I would be very careful using a clay bar as those are abrasive and could add marring to the PPF, which you'd have to lightly polish afterwards. CarPro didn't say anything against using those two soaps on PPF, so you should be fine.
@@PanTheOrganizer have you ever thought about code dating your video’s? 2024 E 20? Do you have a master list of them.
No as I have over 1000 videos at this point, and for UA-cam SEO and keywords, it's best to use the words for the title in a way that can increase reach and searchability, rather than episode numbers.
Been a weekend warrior for detailing but now I just had a new car for the first time ever wrapped - but it’s a matte stealth (Llumar) and will be ceramic coated by the shop (not sure what product).
So I think everything I’ve been using and doing on my other car is out the window.
This video is no matte wrap specific so is there another video that speaks to that or can someone share products and processes
Matte paint, matte vinyl wraps and matte PPF all have the same maintenance, especially once ceramic coated. Here's my matte paint care tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/eU8zg1lXvXY/v-deo.htmlsi=kO7FxghFfIZ5RLHu

@@PanTheOrganizerthank you so much. You are doing the lords work here, by far and away my favorite content on the topic
Gyeon it's top notch!
Thanks for watching!
Great video. It appears that I have to order the products online. Are there any over the counter products that are helpful?
I always order online as I use specialty products.
Hey Pan, my car has a full frontal PPF and the rest is ceramic coated. Can I use Gyeon PPF wash on my entire car or just on the PPF ?
You would have to ask Gyeon.
How does PPF Maintain compare to Wet Coat?
Maintain is more like Gyeon Cure. WetCoat is a spray on rinse off sealant.
Thanks.
I always recommend using 1000-2000 psi max to wash cars
For PPF, it should be less than 1000 psi around the edges.
So ppf maintain is same as gyron wet coat? İ have wet coat, ( orange bottle ) can i use it on ppf securely?
PPF Maintain has nothing to do with WetCoat. WetCoat is sprayed on a wet surfaced and rinsed off. Very different from a spray on wipe off product.
But yes, you can use WetCoat on PPF.
Hi Pan , I have just had my new vehicle coated and the front clip has PPF with a coating applied as well . This is the first car I have had that is coated and with PPF and it is awaiting the first wash. I bought some KochChemie GSF from OG and I wash wondering if this is safe to use , or should I be using a PPF specific such as Gyeon ? . I would greatly appreciate your advise , and I really love the channel , thanks
Any quality ph neutral wash will work - reset from carpro or gyeon bathe…. Ppf is resilient once cured…
My ppf is9 years old and still going strong
Thanks for everything brother
You bet!
Been trying to find the PPF Wash and PPF Maintain in the US but they all say not available.
Hey Pan, what's the purpose of PPF? Does it actually protect the car from rock chips? How would I know if the PPF failed to protect the car from rock chips?
PPF is to protect the paint against stone chips and scratches. Yes it works for those specific purposes.
@@PanTheOrganizer
Unlucky for me, I received 2 chips earlier today (Post PPF).
At this point, you'll have to decide if you want to go the dentless paint repair route, or let it be.
do you think I could simply just use P&S Beadmaker to coat the PPF for protection and shine ?
Yes, just keep in mind Bead Maker isn't used for long term protection. It just lasts 3-4 weeks on average. We usually use it as a topper over longer lasting protection, to boost gloss and slickness. As long as you're willing to apply Bead Maker regularly, no issues.
But the best would be to have a PPF coating, and then use Bead Maker as a maintenance type product.

If I put a ceramic coat on PPF is the PPF maintain/wash needed? Or would I just use the bathe?
You would use Bathe. You would treat the vehicle as a ceramic coated vehicle at that point, not PPF. Since the coating sits on top of the PPF.
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you! I appreciate the response. Thank you for all your knowledge.
@@PanTheOrganizer one other question. Is there a ceramic you can apply on both ppf/paint or do you need specific ceramics for each application?
Do you need also to clean clay ceramic coating the area before ppf? To. Have better outcome??
I don’t understand your question. The car is washed, decontaminated, polished, and then the PPF is applied. The ceramic coating is only applied at the end, on top of the PPF.
So that covers putting products on the ppf, but how about the washing process, and specifically, pressure washing?
You would wash your car the same way as a normal car. Never exceed 2000 psi with the pressure washer. And don’t spray too closely to the body.
I have got ceramic pro top coat on my ppf. I want to remove it and install another coating. How do i remove it?
It looks like many of the products are not available in the USA?
Yeah the Gyeon PPF stuff is hard to source within the USA, but you can still order from Canada in the links provided. Your exchange rate is so much more powerful than CAD dollars that it will cost peanuts for you to order.
Can you use a pressure washer like a Ryobi 1800psi on a matte PPF? Thanks
Yes, absolutely
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks
Is PPF Maintain Shampoo just a marketing product ?
Any other options than Gyeon that contains iron removing technology
Will it work the same if im using a normal shampoo like CarPro eraser + Iron remover on my maintenance washes?
Gyeon is a serious top tier brand. They don’t do marketing gimmicks.
They have their Restart shampoo that also has light iron removing capabilities. But they only mention its use on “coated surfaces”, so you’d have to ask them if it can work on PPF.
But if your vehicle is wrapped in PPF I would just get the PPF shampoo.
Or keep it simple and get a pure shampoo like Gyeon Bathe. And use an iron remover once every 3-4 months or as needed depending on your level of iron contamination.
Thank you so much Pan !!@@PanTheOrganizer

hi i have a question, its been 2 years now i have PPF applied on my car and on top of that i applied 2 layers of Geyon PPF coating, now i feel the hydrophobic properties have immensely diminished thus i want to get my car recoated, so my question is what to do? how do i remove the previous layer on a PPF car and install new layer? Is the procedure same for PPF coated car?
The only way to ensure 100% removal of a previous coating is by machine polishing. So a light polish and polishing pad should do the trick. You'll know you succeeded with the removal when the water won't bead anymore, and will simply be a flat pool of slow sheeting water.
PPF Renew not available for US customers??
Yeah for some reason, I don't see it on CSW or Amazon websites in the USA.
