They're also buddies with some of our cats, I've taken my Skotti was from the street when he started living with those two :v

Not every free cat needs be "rescued". We don't know the details of this particular cat but I know many cats living freely in my city without attempting to be taken by humans or waiting to be fed by them. Even there are also a few humans who prefer freedom to safety! ;-)

Can't u see how plump it is? The people there feed them! If everyone has the need to take them home, at least every home will have 10 cats! Not all cats want to be removed. Some are just life long vagrants, for want of a better word. I had one who kept coming round every few days for a few years. We just fed him. Gave him some company & affection but he was a real gentleman. There's a level of decency that cats have we would do well to emulate

Umm no. Do you know what happens to most feral cats taken to a vet? Put in shelters and eventually euthanized because they are not domesticated and adoptable.
sam newcome, nope. All the feral cats I have taken to my cat vet get top notch treatment. Of course, they usually do require sedation first. I always get them spay/neutered & while they’re under general anesthesia, I have their nails trimmed, ears cleaned, bathed, patched up & given vaccinations & flea meds, etc. Then I tame them in my home and either find well-screened, loving indoor homes for them, or I just keep them. I have two indoor former-feral cats now. Watching them is better than tv! 😁
@@lilsammich8252 Idk about Japan, but a lot of places in the world just catch ferals to spay and neuter then re-release them. Unless they're kittens or friendly to people. Then they go to a shelter or foster home. But truly feral, wild adults and young cats(non-kittens) normally just get placed back where they were. They do this since it's hard to find anyone willing to put in the work to rehabilitate extremely wild cats like that, it's pointless to kill them unless they're directly negatively impacting the local wildlife and without the ability to reproduce, they're not putting more cats out on the streets.

Not all cats want to be removed. Some are just life long vagrants, for want of a better word. I had one who kept coming round every few days for a few years. We just fed him. Gave him some company & affection but he was a real gentleman. There's a level of decency that cats have we would do well to emulate
@@mypointofview1111 I had an old outdoor cat volunteer to retire indoors with me. I took her inside immediately. She was so happy during her final months that she danced and squealed with joy every day.

This old cat is a real character. Walking with him as he went through his daily routine told a great cinematic story. Old, old wise cat. Poor guy has the eye problems (as noted by a thousand others!), and a hurt left rear leg. Great shades of brown.

Umm no. Do you know what happens to most feral cats taken to a vet? Put in shelters and eventually euthanized because they are not domesticated and adoptable.
sam newcome, nope. All the feral cats I have taken to my cat vet get top notch treatment. Of course, they usually do require sedation first. I always get them spay/neutered & while they’re under general anesthesia, I have their nails trimmed, ears cleaned, bathed, patched up & given vaccinations & flea meds, etc. Then I tame them in my home and either find well-screened, loving indoor homes for them, or I just keep them. I have two indoor former-feral cats now. Watching them is better than tv! 😁

@@lilsammich8252 Idk about Japan, but a lot of places in the world just catch ferals to spay and neuter then re-release them. Unless they're kittens or friendly to people. Then they go to a shelter or foster home. But truly feral, wild adults and young cats(non-kittens) normally just get placed back where they were. They do this since it's hard to find anyone willing to put in the work to rehabilitate extremely wild cats like that, it's pointless to kill them unless they're directly negatively impacting the local wildlife and without the ability to reproduce, they're not putting more cats out on the streets.
