My grandpa always leased a brand new Caprice Classic in blue every year growing up. I LOVE these and I'm so glad you got this. Nostalgia road, here I come! This should be fun.
BlakeGTLM Depends how deep that gouging is on the pass side. I’d give it a Maaco job for a couple hundred bucks and see if they can match the paint. It’d look brand new.
Best find yet! A completely unmolested time capsule of a car. For 375. You can’t beat this. With a good cleaning, a paint job and a bumper, this will make someone very happy. no need for rims or anything else. Gorgeous car!!!!
I just checked about the R12. You can still get it on Amazon, and eBay. You got a really good buy on that car. I have always had a soft spot for those cars. Many years ago I had an old 9C1 Caprice that I bought at auction. That car had the LT1 5.7 in it though. It was an absolute beast! I'm very certain this car will make an awesome flip for you Randy!
I had a 92 police intercepter But it was not converted to a police car it was a detective car. It came with the 5.7 liter and I tell you it was a monster.
Redken 12A refrigerant will go right in there without evacuating system. Kit available at most parts stores and easy to do. Did it on a 93 T-bird and system works perfectly.
Good find Randy. Remember to change the compressor oil and the high and low side pressure valves when you convert the AC to R134a. Might also replace the dryer too. As far as the fuel system I'd change the fuel filter (on the frame) and drop the tank pour all the old gas out and try to find some gas that has no ethanol in it (E0) or E10 with fuel stabilizer and run a tank through it.
Great car! It was in 2006 that I saw one of these for the first time in Brasília-DF, Brazil. I lived there from 2006 until 2013, and the car was burgundy with a monochromatic interior. Year 1994 and was from the American embassy, I caught my eye and fell in love ... It's a shame that these Caprice Classic here in Brazil are rare ... and this V8 is nice to hear in slow motion! And hello from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!
Love it Randy!👍👍 I drove the 9C1 LT1 Police Pkg model in the Police Academy back in the 90s! 🚔 Handled great & was pretty fast! 💨 Once had it up to 135mph during a chase. Also I hold the MSP track record (even beating the instructors) with one of these in the serpentine course both forward & in reverse (averaging 48mph!). Looking forward to the content on this one!!👍❤️👍
Love these big old boats. They take you where you want to go, and you're comfortable the whole way! Do the sanding and priming yourself and take it to Maaco, it will look sooo much better that a collector might be interested!!!
Love the Caprice. Randy the rear wheels were designed that way so when the rear passengers get in and you load the trunk the rear of the car lowers and evens out. It"s made to carry a lot of weight. Otherwise it would need air suspension. Great buy. I am a fan of the Impala with the same body.
Great taste Randy. I knew someone who had a Road Master. It was like driving in your living room. Very comfortable, decent performance, and 25+ mpg on the highway. Love to have one, one day.
Love these older cars. So many are gone from the road. You just don't see many anymore. R-12 isn't outlawed you just have to have a license to buy it and it's illegal you let it into the atmosphere. Big thumbs up!
As soon as I saw the Caprice I felt a little nostalgic. I had a 94 with an LS and it had a digital speedo. I was young and couldn't afford the payments on fairly new car so I let it go back. I still have found memories doing burnouts!
Premiering is a great way to experiment with what they like and don’t like, and also beautiful car, I thought the Chevy logo lock and license plate gas tank thing was pretty cool, love you so much randy. 🔥❤️🚘
I'm tired of seeing those Hyundais and focuses Corollas Kia's and all those throwaway poop boxes it's nice to see good stuff I agree with you 100% there bud
What ever exterior color is going to have a blue interior. I'd repaint it blue and if you want to make it pop paint it a bright blue (paint door jams...?)
This is a great ride!! I have a poster of a 1994 Caprice Classic Wagon in my pool room. 1994 was the year of the facelift. Modernized dashboard and the 5.7 LT1 engine. Gotta love it. Too bad there wasn't an Impala SS wagon. That would just be perfect!
toro220d oh yeah? 6.6 sec 0-60, 14sec 1/4 in a crew cab... it took over a decade for ford to do that again. Eco-boost is about even but the 2002 supercharger smokes the 2019 turbos at the light.
Hi Randy i have a 94 gmc sierra that i bought a r12 recharge kit for up in Canada. It comes with r12 and the hose to fill it . They are around 55.00 Canadian at Canadian tire , but im sure you can find some in the USA. Or contact a appliance repair comp they will have r12 for fridges . Goodluck and great buy .
Congrats! I´ve always preferred these youngtimers over the current suckers that you can see at every corner. I do like that Caprice. Please try to find more of that kind. A contemporary law enforcement package would be gr8 on this one. A true upgrade for your channel.
Enjoyed the video, yea a good paint job and that car would look perfect. Are you going to keep that color or end up changing it. Keep up the great work.
Always loved this car, remember playing Need for Speed High Stakes on the PS1 and the police drove these Caprices. Don't see very many where I'm at. Cool find.
great! I had hope that you'd buy that thing and you did! Was clear from that earlier vid that you liked it on first sight! those scratches on the codrivers side are maybe from a tarpaulin or something that covered the car for years... I have seen very similar scratches on a small mobiel home that was covered like that over winter!
Needs some pimping. Maybe set of staggered white lettered wheels. some rear tint . Bring the cool factor up a bit. Would make for a easier sell. Plus it would look cool .
That model of Caprice has got to be one of my all time wants, they’re super unusual over here in the UK, I think I’ve only seen one on the road over here. Finding one up and running for around £500 odd would be like a dream come true!
Congrats on the “Boat” I remember in one of our conversations that “Boats” don’t sell in OK and that it’ll sit on the lot for weeks. Looked at Copart in OKC they have about four Dodge Darts 🎯 for sale this week. You should make that your specialty car, just a suggestion since you know so much about them with your previous builds.
I don't know about in the USA but here in the UK that car would probably make as much money in 'as is' condition rather than repainted. Us mad Brits call it originality and patina. Just give it a general clean up and send it on its way. Or keep it and shove a V10 or a V12 in it. A friend of mine spent Over $10,000 to buy what was at the time thought to be the oldest surviving Triumph Stag in existence, then spent roughly $20,000 on restoration of the Stag. He held in to it for a couple of years then sold it for $23,000. Then an even earlier Stag was found it sold completely unrestored (and it was an unroadworthy mess) Complete with seized (frozen) engine and more holes in the floorpan than Fred Flintstones ride! But because it was proven to be so early it sold at auction. For over $19,000 So which was the better flip?
Sea Foam before you fill it with some fresh fuel, good to go, that bumper may unwrinkle and easy to repaint, good find. R12 is still available, at about $100.00 per pound, ugh...can't keep calling it a $375.00 car, not with those ridiculous copart fees.. Rock and roll!!!
Cool cars. They are cheap for some reason. I have a 95 roadmaster for sale for a month now for 1500 and no bites. New fuel pump, new radiator etc. Runs perfect. Perfect leather interior, perfect dash etc. Cant give it away
Great buy, don't do a thing to it except for regular maintenance. Keep it as a standby car it will sever you for many years to come. Name it Granny. Good luck with her.
You bought it? 💪 I love that caprice is in beautiful conditions! Greetings from Puerto Rico! Randy I love your videos You have our support always! God bless you.
Beautiful f150. Got one myself Also love your recent purchase, haha randy it's all you man I'd love to see you drive it for a little while, fix its quirks then sell it. Cheers !
Really Randy?? All of these walk arounds and you make us wait to see if the caprice drives...LOL. Oh well you channel so you can do as you wish.....Keep up the great work dude! Enjoy the ride ...without us
Good project no need to go overboard repair simple things first tune it up change fluids . I try to due something about paint before going to full repaint . Don't throw money at it it was designed to last not like lot of the Newer Makes . Don't know resale value due good for a older couple or family transportation then a small plastic newer Vechicles . If maintained right out last new ones .
My dept bought the Caprice's every year that the LT1 was available. Our city fleet manager always joked that he was going to buy 2bl Diplomats just to try to get me wound up. Caprices held up much better than CV's or Diplomats of that vintage. Still solid @ 130,000 + careful police miles. Other brands then wore out as early as 75k. Diplomats gave you no solid road feel. Higher the speed the worst it got. Their front torsion bar suspension bounced & floated like a luxury car.
My grandpa always leased a brand new Caprice Classic in blue every year growing up. I LOVE these and I'm so glad you got this. Nostalgia road, here I come! This should be fun.
Randy, I’d just buff it, and repaint the bumpers. Keep it simple and cheap. No need to out do yourself on it. Keep the OG paint.
BlakeGTLM Depends how deep that gouging is on the pass side. I’d give it a Maaco job for a couple hundred bucks and see if they can match the paint. It’d look brand new.
I was thinking the same thing.
Agreed....keep it simple
Car is awesome , and i agree with bringing in new stuff as soon as the finished cars sell , just dont go overboard!!. Awesome buy!
Yeah 1 or 2 cars at the time is enough
I would ls swap it lol!!!
Best find yet! A completely unmolested time capsule of a car. For 375. You can’t beat this. With a good cleaning, a paint job and a bumper, this will make someone very happy. no need for rims or anything else. Gorgeous car!!!!
Replace the bumper, buff it out, repair the A/C and keep it original!! 😀 Nice ride!!
I’ll trade you some R-12 for some merchandise. 🤔
Can't you still buy it from like Libya or China or something? XD In all serious those 9C1 Caprices are worth around $10K in good shape now.
Remember to change the oil out in the compressor when you convert it to 134A...
Nice bubble Caprice! I have a 72 Chevelle with the 5.7L really not sure if I want to rebuild it or LS swap it
Well done! These b-bodies drive so nice and go forever.
I had a 92 police intercepter But it was not converted to a police car it was a detective car. It came with the 5.7 liter and I tell you it was a monster.
That a fine Randy put you a Reece hitch on their drive that bitch like a nacecarr it can do it great.score man keep us updated .as in tomorrow s video
Redken 12A refrigerant will go right in there without evacuating system. Kit available at most parts stores and easy to do. Did it on a 93 T-bird and system works perfectly.
I have a 95 and I did a rebuild motor and transmission and rear end. It’s making a little more than 600 hp
Awesome 305 or 350
toro220d lt1 350 it makes 600 with nitrous
@@kingofdiamondsproductionan659 nice can't beat a Chevy
Good find Randy. Remember to change the compressor oil and the high and low side pressure valves when you convert the AC to R134a. Might also replace the dryer too. Love it Randy. Those are in high demand in Denver, city people throw big rims, tint and speakers and donk them. Really nice
Love it Randy!👍👍 I drove the 9C1 LT1 Police Pkg model in the Police Academy back in the 90s! 🚔 Handled great & was pretty fast! 💨 Once had it up to 135mph during a chase. Maco paint job and drive it till the wheels fall off, that is what I would do. And you would be comfy the whole time, great old car indeed!
Great taste Randy. I knew someone who had a Road Master. It was like driving in your living room. Very comfortable, decent performance, and 25+ mpg on the highway. Love to have one, one day.
Wow can't believe you got the Caprice. I have a 1994 Caprice Classic ls with the b4u tow package. All I can say is it loves donuts lol
Love these older cars. So many are gone from the road. You just don't see many anymore. R-12 isn't outlawed you just have to have a license to buy it and it's illegal you let it into the atmosphere. Big thumbs up!

That was a good find and win Randy good job keep up the hard work . There's proof that hard work does pay off.
Love it! Damn! Find some more Town Cars! I love big older cars. Now this is the videos I LOVE!!!!!!!
I'm tired of seeing those Hyundais and focuses Corollas Kia's and all those throwaway poop boxes it's nice to see good stuff I agree with you 100% there bud
Yup, start it and rev it up right away, and make sure you keep it running so you get carmelized gas into the injectors.
Paint it some bright color get some used 24inch wheels and park it in the hood and you'll sell it in a day
What ever exterior color is going to have a blue interior. I'd repaint it blue and if you want to make it pop paint it a bright blue (paint door jams...?)
Definitely throw some glitter to make that blue paint, pop

Can you give Tim a big shout here from Ireland, it's almost 3 am, should be sleeping but watching the two lads!!!
That's Awesome. Glad your getting into the older cars.
1993 because of the open rear wheels and the older dash design.. I am just ecstatic that some one else loves these cars
I miss this video but watched all the rest on this car loved this build
What brake parts did you get for the truck?
I have an 02 harley F150 and it needs a brake upgrade. I definitely recommend the pcv catch bottle mod.
Triton engine junk
toro220d oh yeah? 6.6 sec 0-60, 14sec 1/4 in a crew cab... it took over a decade for ford to do that again. Eco-boost is about even but the 2002 supercharger smokes the 2019 turbos at the light.

The excitement in your voice is what makes us watch
Congrats! I´ve always preferred these youngtimers over the current suckers that you can see at every corner. I do like that Caprice. Please try to find more of that kind. A contemporary law enforcement package would be gr8 on this one. A true upgrade for your channel.

The 305 Chev. small block doesn't produce much horsepower, but with proper maintenance it could easily see 3 or 400,000 miles use.
That model of Caprice has got to be one of my all time wants, they’re super unusual over here in the UK, I think I’ve only seen one on the road over here. Finding one up and running for around £500 odd would be like a dream come true!
B-BODY BY FISHER HAD A BUNCH OF EM.... MINE HAD A LT1
Really excited to see some new content!
Hi Randy. Got a question. Instead of getting rid of the Dart why don’t you get rid of the Cruze?
Congrats on the “Boat” I remember in one of our conversations that “Boats” don’t sell in OK and that it’ll sit on the lot for weeks. Looked at Copart in OKC they have about four Dodge Darts 🎯 for sale this week. You should make that your specialty car, just a suggestion since you know so much about them with your previous builds.
Look at you with those wheel covers in the thumbnail!! Haha!! Beautiful Caprice tho. Super excited to see how it'll turn out.
You can buy r12 from an ac shop on sooner near reno i believe its named a&h
You drove it home, so you know it rund and drives

looked like the heat gauge is showing over heat. Maybe just the angle of camera?
U could get a r12 to r134 adapter and use a easy chill kit
always loved that Caprice generation, i'd so love to get one of those 90's bubble Impala SS
these things are so amazing.
Nice to see a project
Nice to hear how excited you were when it started right up.
Hi Randy, always happy with whatever content you provide buddy. I’m sure Weird Beard will sell this one within the day. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Growing up my neighbor had a gray one across the street from me same blue interior
Cool cars. They are cheap for some reason. I have a 95 roadmaster for sale for a month now for 1500 and no bites. New fuel pump, new radiator etc. Runs perfect. Perfect leather interior, perfect dash etc. Cant give it away
I love the walk around copart videos so I can know what to look for
Great video Randy. You are the king!!! The Swede
Its amazing bro
I didn't expect it to start up so quick. Hopefully you will see a great profit if all goes well. Good luck.
Hi Randy, that caprice is a nice car. Taxis and cop cars lots of em. Long lasting.
Ummm why do you say it’s a $375 car when after copart fees it’s like $600 so wouldn’t it be a $600 car?
Ummmm because my winning bid was $375
Yea but you paid $600 total to get it out of co part so it’s $600
My son would LOVE to have this car! Awesome find! Can't wait for next video.
Randy that was so great hopefully it drives and runs good got me excited
Here in OKC! This is one of my favorite cars! Love it!!!!!!!
Is the back bumper a different shade? Or is it just the camera.
Beautiful f150. Got one myself
Also love your recent purchase, haha randy it's all you man I'd love to see you drive it for a little while, fix its quirks then sell it.
Cheers !
1994 , didnt have OBD came in in 96 , so guess thats why no check engine lights !
Alan Cooper 94 still had a check engine light they have obd1
Love these type videos! Putting this on my Facebook for ya (:
When someone adds "looks new", to either a MAACO, or Earl Scheib finishings...
Loved the exhaust note when you checked the rear lights!
Really Randy?? All of these walk arounds and you make us wait to see if the caprice drives...LOL. Oh well you channel so you can do as you wish.....Keep up the great work dude! Enjoy the ride ...without us

The CAPRICE, I love this car, I wish I could find one this cheap
94-96 come with the 5.7 lt1 or the odd 4.3 l99 v8 you got the better motor regardless! 93 ftw
I refer the Roadmaste wagon, but love these! Good luck, should be an easy flip!
I thought this was a fairly recent video but it's older ! Still great content randy
Give it the MAACO paint job.
Kellys Peppers it would be nice in Black!
I'm not sure but I think they turn the key and if the battery is deid the list it as a not running
Hey Randy, you should swap out the vinel tonneau with a hard cover fiberglass tonneau
I love these boats. I daily drive a grand marquis. Always wanted one of these
I’d leave the original paint on it. It’s a nice old car.
I miss this car was one of my absolute favorites you have had
Nice land yacht, Captain!!! They don't make 'em that ride like that or have that room anymore!!
Yeaaaaah buddy! I knew you would go after that one lol. Looking forward to this
I like the Auto Reverse feature on the infotainment center.
My uncle drove a caprice when he was with LAPD. First and only times I rode in a cop car.
Well the front seat anyways. 😉
My dept bought the Caprice's every year that the LT1 was available. Our city fleet manager always joked that he was going to buy 2bl Diplomats just to try to get me wound up. My reply was always "Chevy USA #1". I had a LT1 police package cap & I'd wear it around him. He knew I took excellent car of my car & he'd do authorize more preventative work on my squad than others. Only trouble we had was burning out electric fans. If anyone has a LT1 one fan should always run. 2nd only if a/c on, defroster on or car temp high.
Love your cap, where could I get one to purchase?
Nice car and it now qualifies as an antique - 25 years. Could clean it up and take to an AACA meet.
I honestly wouldnt paint it, it wears it life well, its part of its character. Always loved the Caprice..
looks like you got a good one here agian randy good job!
It sounds like a keeper! Runs smoothly for old gas! Like the color same as my crown Victoria,! Good deal!
