Been a fan for years, ever since Devastator dropped. I practically grew up with your music Groundbreaking, and your works defined my music taste today. I gotta ask, what’s going on? Have you been hard at work behind the scenes on something? Did real life come up and force you away from the project? I know I’ve commented many times before and I hope that I don’t come off as disrespectful or annoying, but I want to continue being a fan supporting you, even if your style of music isn’t one that I enjoy as much as your older works. Everything about your work has improved so drastically throughout the time you’ve been on here, and while I may not enjoy this feeling of resentment to the past your current songs convey, you’re still Groundbreaking. Keep being awesome

Hey Groundbreaking fans. Wondering why it's been 8 months? Sean cancelled basically the entire album. He joined a fan server (you can ask people like Kael to back me up on this) and told all of us that while the album was fully written, personal issues came up that made the album not work out. He was going to rerecord and fix up the singles but it was too much work, with him not deeming it worth it. The album was going to be called "Groundbreaking" (yes, it was self-titled!), but songs like "STORM" and "ABYSS", which he played at the live show, might still make it to the new record.
So, hey, if you didn't like these past few songs he did, I guess you're in good luck. He did recognize the shortcomings, the mix being in his words "unsalvageable" for the singles. I firmly believe when Sean comes back with new music it's gonna blow these tracks out of the water.

Its nice to know you not alone but at the same time you wouldn't want anyone to know the emotional struggle and pain. Worst single so far. The extremely poppy influence overrides everything my brain tries to dissect. The song's favor is its short length and the breakdown at 2:23 saves this song.
Not a big fan of it. I'm still very hyped for the album, though. Crowns, Fire Of Our Past and Cynical have been very good. If the album will still go into the direction of Blue i won't be fond of the sound.
Love your work, Sean, but this one is a miss in my book.
Yeah besides DEAD ENDS and CYNICAL these singles of the new LP have felt really half-baked both in songwriting and instrumentation. Sean’s vocals have improved drastically, there’s some improvements on the guitar and mixing, but compared to Parade there’s just a lot to be desired that would make it relistenable. It feels more focused on being catchy than anything else, the chord progression is incredibly basic and it doesn’t evolve as the track goes on. There’s nothing wrong with going for a more pop rock centric sound but good pop rock has merit to it beyond catchiness that brings you back to it. Parade title track, Watch Out, music to feel alone to, Dead Ends, these tracks get better upon repeated listening. But stuff like this, FOOP and even CROWNS don’t really give me anything to hold onto for repeat listenings. I hope the LP has more stuff like DEAD ENDS and CYNICAL, and if not I at least hope there’s pop centric tracks that bring more to the table.

Relistening to this one over the past months has really made it grown on me I must say, it's probably the second best single besides DEAD ENDS even with its production issues (the snare is absurdly loud and the vocals sound way too processed, the solo at the end could be louder too and the synths could be a little more absorbing and ethereal)
