I love how the artists for the MV took the overused boring bland «corporate artstyle» but they made it actually visually interesting. Great work from everyone
This is the first time I've seen calart done stylized.
The problem was never the style itself, it was the lack of effort and artistic intent, inherent to how corporations use clip art packs. Works like this show what the art style can actually do, when used by a skilled and passionate artist.

I thought it was an alegory for an abusive relationship that she started to think she was just as bad as her abuser but left them and found that after leaving the demon her abuser brought out of her was just her ex manipulating her and she's actually balanced without her abuser.
The only way for any one to move forward and evolve is to recognize we have all demons inside of us, a dark side. Instead of fighting it and running away from it (which you can't, as it's a part of you), accept it, learn from it. That's the only way to live with peace with it (not to mention, in many ways, this "Dark side" is where we get strength to go through the toughest times of our lives).
I love how the 3rd solo ( 2:53 ) alternates between the smooth style of the first solo and the more warbly style of the second. Really gives off the feeling of either: A- 2 opposing forces fighting over the spotlight, or B- The 2 solos learning to work together and share the spotlight and works really well with the lyrics.
It's the western scale and the Arabic scale being intertwined! So the notes are slightly different between each scale, making it sound a bit weird to our mostly western ears.
She can't escape her demon as its part of her, so she learns to dance with it instead, love this groove!
If you're familiar with the poem "I had a black dog", then this video gives me similar vibes.
It reminded me of the indie game "Celeste"

I love how the steps don't coincide with the beat of the song at all and the most fluid parts were animated a 5 fps. True craftsmanship

IMO, it sounds like they're going back to their roots a bit. Chronologic was great, but it was very different from Caravan Palace or Panic. Mad, Reverse, and Mirrors have all felt like they could've come from those first two albums.

@@LiveLaughLovecraft Oh, I didn't mean to imply Chronologic was bad, just that it was more...experimental, which, I think, is what gave it its unique sound. They could've gone either way and I'd still be excited for new stuff from them.
I really like the fact the the demon's expression doesn't really change interpreting that he is more like an indifferent force that is just vibing there and you need to accept it to be happy.

A lil theory for funzies: the demon creature represents reputation and previous success. In combination the lyrics and the video describe the feeling artists get when everyone expects them to "outdo" their past self.
I love how the video bends the concept at times, saying "no matter what, you can still vibe with your previous work (even though the public unfairly preferes it to the new and evolved creations) and there's no guarantee that the new work won't become that annoying unreachable standart later up"
I might be completely wrong, either way the new song+ animation are absolutely gorgeous, beyond excited for the upcoming album ^-^ ✨

It may be personal interpretation, but as of right now the album's revealed songs all follow a theme: Not giving a shit about what others think.
Honestly I thought the song was about caravan palace (the girl) not being noticed by the greater Musical community and the popular songs (liquid Demon) taking the spotlight, now Caravan palace is working in Tangent with popular music, to achieve goals, the end represents the modern music taking over again.

OH THIS ANIMATION ROCKS!!!! Its hard to make 3d so fluid and bouncy, I absolutely adore everything about this! It matches the music perfectly
a few fun things I noticed throughout the video, after rewatching several times because the songs a bop. the newspaper at 0:12 has several fun headlines like "BREAKING: CARAVAN PALACE MAD MUSIC VIDEO HITS 5 MILLION VIEWS", "ROBOT INVASION GOING WELL", and who could forget "NEWSFLASH: SOMEONE OUT THERE MIGHT BE HOTTER THAN YOU", but most importantly the date in the corner reads 5.1.24, or march first 2024, aka the date caravan is going to drop their new album! another detail I noticed is at 0:49 and beyond, if you pause just right, you can see the silhouettes of the three Dobermans from the Lone Digger mv! might pertain to the "lore" of that universe, might just be a fun nod to both Lone Digger and Moonshine, who knows! there is also an odd silhouette at the end shot of the mv at 3:04, at the far right a light flicks on and we see someone with abnormally large ears? or hair? compared to the blank figures visible in the other windows. finally, at 1:34 in the art gallery, you can see stills from some of Everfresh's other work, including what I assume is a test animation for this specific mv on the right side (called Curveball management on their channel). Everfresh really killed it with this one, I hope we see them again in future videos!
You forget the obvious dancing giant robot at 3:00 as cross reference to Caravan Palace - Dance for me
But now the smaller details and my interpretations in order of appearance:
0:25 I see a music shop with robots; music + robots remember me on "Suzy"
0:28 main character (or side charakter if you listen on the text) almost gets run over a car
and
0:33 Microphone
--> "Plume" (karaoke-microphone and the robot in Plumes run over at the end)
0:38 The drain-begin remembers me vaguely on the v4gina-plant from "Moonshine"
+ The flight trough this drain with red/blue farbschema at the end and the story with the difference between inside and outside (with the inner demon) reminds me strongly on "Wonderland" (they also used red/blue very often in this music video)
The "Oui, c'est la vie" at the end of the chorus (first at 1:03) is french.
Caravam often refers to paris/france in their music videos.
Also the red rose at 2:27 remembers me on paris, the city of love
0:50 The "Lone Digger" cross-reference with the dogs mentioned you already (and also with the big disco sphere in a club at 1:04)
1:03 The demon give the mask-lady from "Comics" a toast with his glas.
And they might have a "Moonshine" allusion with the flat liquid at 1:15 with kim possibles hands (and we get a moon at 1:32)

In the world where Electro Swing felt out of fashion, Caravan Palace still rocks and produces unique sound.

Since Lone Digger caravan palace veteran here. So happy for you guys! I can't imagine stopping listening to your music! Every one is so thought trough and has personality. This somg has a lot of different interpretations, I think all valid. I saw it as the struggle of neurodivergence, getting stared at for being different, but no one listens to you when you're in a group. That mirror of having all eyes on you and simultaneously none at all.

Holy cow Everfresh killed it. There's so much life to the animation, it almost feels like our main character can move and think for herself. The art style is super cool, and the funky proportions and flat color pallet really give it a sense of personality, feels like watching a stylized cartoon bumper for Cartoon Network. I was wondering, does she and the demon guy have a name? or are they just disconnected characters. the song was a banger as always, this went straight on my playlist along with the rest of the singles you guys have recently released.

Wondering about the demon imagery in these latest videos. Worried that Caravan Palace has sold all their souls for the ability to make 10/10 songs every time. Not worried because if so hell will have the best tunes.
This really reminds me of the insights I've gained on mushrooms lol.
When you take very large doses, sometimes you can meet entities, or personifications of love, fear, joy, anger, insecurity, etc... and often times I meet these terrifying entities and the more I run the worse it gets, but when I look at them and accept them and try to understand them, their malevolence becomes benign. The jesters become clowns and the devils less sinister.
I've watched this preview so many times that my dreams played this on repeat last night.
