Meet Maud Hekking🇳🇱, groom for Dutch jumper rider Hendrik Jan Schuttert

It was freezing cold when we met 26-year-old Maud Hekking on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Jumping de Achterhoek, a CSI1&2* in the Netherlands. But Maud’s horses and herself were warmly bundled up so a short interview was possible.
Maud (26) has been grooming since she was 16 years old and told us a little bit about her work, how she started grooming, and the pros and cons of being a groom. She also shared a good tip for making a groom’s life easier and emphasized the importance of working for good people who value and respect you.
