I see lots of reactions to Born Singer here on UA-cam so I don't know what went wrong. You might try posting again with a blurred video. I hope you liked it anyway.
When I listen to this song, it always reminds me of the saying, "Throw me to the wolves and I will come back LEADING THE PACK!". The vast majority of their music is very deep and thought provoking. They also write pretty much all of their own music and lyrics, with some exceptions here and there. Their videos are always high quality, detail oriented and interesting. This is not what you might term a "light weight" pop group; there's a lot going on with these guys. Many of the themes are universal to what we all struggle with, or celebrate, on a day to day basis. Aside from the fantastic music and lyrics, this is why they are worldwide popular. If you like the shallow end of the pool, this may not be the group for you. Depends on what you like. I really had no interest in "K POP" until I heard BTS. Now I feel like they opened up a whole new world of music to me!!!
I must be the only one who BTS didn't open the flood gates of Kpop to. I get a small trickling here and there, but for the most part BTS are on a completely different level from the rest of the idol groups, and I just can't get into the others.
Those are correct lyrics. BTS is known for their interesting, inspiring and deep lyricsm. Most of their songs were written and produced by the members themselves. They have deep meanings that make the songs more interesting and inspiring, most of their songs are inspired by swiss Psychologist. Some fans created a separate video explanations for each songs so we could understand them better. Thats how deep it is.. 😊 Once you get to know them and songs you would understand that they really are not your ordinary and typical boy band💖 That is why they are loved by many. Btw, we are only talking about music here. Wait to know their individual personalit and find out how humble , generous and inspiring human being they are. I would suggest really for you to watch the introduction to BTS by XCeleste to know them better. Thank you!
This song is off Map of the Soul 7 album which dives into the work of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung and although it’s on the surface an anthem about the many trials BTS had faced coming from a tiny label (they were never supposed to make it and the industry still doesn’t like them) there is always more when it comes to BTS. They reference the shadow ie your shadow self and the way we fight not just exterior adversity but our selves. They partnered with UCLA marching band and a gospel choir because everything they do is extra always. The whole album is top tier with for example, the 3 rappers each tackling a song about their take on a different aspect of the Map of the Soul in their style. RM in Intro:Persona talks about his Persona in a very intellectual rap both sharing and educating. Suga dives deep and dark, fitting him, into Interlude:Shadow and how he wrestled with his shadow self (one of the list brilliant dark songs it’s a true testament to him as not just a rapper but also as the songs producer). And as a total contrast jhope gives us Outro:Ego a celebration and acceptance of self and himself. He’s the dance leader so it’s upbeat unexpected. The three songs toss questions asked in one and answer in another it’s really fun to deep dancing be into. BTS doesn’t have a single style they jump around many each album. Enjoy your journey it’s deep rabbit hole and they have a huge discography of over 300 songs.
For you understand there song you need to watch “who is BTS “ all there song is all about hardship and what they gone through to get , where they at now they all link together , find out who they are and you’ll understand
Jimin (the guy wearing white with the blue hair) and Jhope @ 4:25 are regarded as two of the best male Kpop dancers in the world. My favorite part of this video is their dance break towards the end. These men are so insanely talented. In my opinion, BTS have the best rap line, vocal line and they have amazing dancers as well. You should watch some of their documentaries so you can get to know them better. You'll find that they're very down to earth and also very humble people.
Lyrics are pretty correct. Simply, they're talking about the struggle to become an individuals. They are ready to embrace their shadows, instead of ignoring them, to make them stronger (there are much more complex explanations online). If you watch the official mv, you'll get a different vibe from this (though I prefer this version). Many of BTS mv are like seeing mini-movies. Many have deep symbolism, others are just visual masterpieces. One of the ones I enjoy the most is Daechwita (by Agust D who is Suga of BTS).
I’m not surprised you’re finding it hard to connect the dots. ON is quite late in a sequence of songs that goes back a long way in the discography… at least back to 2016, when they started exploring the ideas of Nietzsche, Hesse and Jung (although these are by no means their only influences). If you react to Black Swan, the song that immediately precedes ON in the sequence, you’ll find a similar use of autotune to compress their individual timbres to a singular ‘voice’, because they’re essentially playing a single character ‘the artist’ who is grappling with their inner demon - the Jungian ‘shadow’. It’s not mandatory to dive into the complex layers of a BTS song - they’re there to be enjoyed, after all - but if you do you’ll find a very rich world touching on some very important and universal issues and themes (social and economic injustice, cultural pressures, mental health, identity and individuality, self-love, connectedness and compassion). They draw on art, literature, history, philosophy and psychology to examine themselves, the society they live in, the extreme fame they live with and the wider, weirder world around them. It’s quite a ride…
On is basically “bring the pain on” that comes with fame as celebrities. This is them accepting that their status a lot of times feels like a prison but a beautiful prison that comes with a lot of privileges. The whole album that this song belongs to talks about the state of their minds as 7 members of a group that is in the 7th year in their career. They are on their 9th year now as BTS since they debuted in 2013 but some of the members have been together for almost 12 years. They usually have varied genres in a single album.
BTS are known for crossing and fusing many different genre's of music. They use auto-tune as an artistic choice because they certainly don't need it. They debuted in South Korea as a Hip Hop Idol group (under the K Pop umbrella). You can listen to their two albums from 2020, Map of the Soul: 7 (released February 2020), and the range of music on the album is very diverse. You get all different types of songs, from Pop, RnB, Hip Hop, EDM, group songs, solo songs, and Unit songs. there are 20 tracks on the album, and the theme of the album started with their previous album Map of the Soul: Persona, which was inspired by Carl Jung's psychological theory of Individuation, and covers the Persona, the Shadow, and the Ego. You will hear them talking about their shadows a lot on the album. Please use links I provide for live performances and MV's, because they have accurate subtitles. I recommend the three tracks off that album to start: *Turn on CC's* Intro: Persona (RM solo) - ua-cam.com/video/M9Uy0opVF3s/v-deo.html Interlude: Shadow (SUGA) - ua-cam.com/video/PV1gCvzpSy0/v-deo.html Outro: Ego (J Hope) - ua-cam.com/video/LmApDbvNCXg/v-deo.html Then they released BE (November 2020), and Dynamite was the single off of it. This album was written by BTS about the Pandemic and their feelings and thought, how they cope with it, and hope for the future. I recommend these song from their BE Album (fun fact - Jungkook directed the Life Goes On Music Video): *Turn on CC's - Live performances also have subtitles* Blue and Grey MTV Unplugged - ua-cam.com/video/iP62Tg04vww/v-deo.html Dis-ease Live Streamed concert - ua-cam.com/video/UW8nHFQRiMA/v-deo.html Telepathy Live Streamed concert - ua-cam.com/video/lFbxMwMBt68/v-deo.html Life Goes On MV - ua-cam.com/video/-5q5mZbe3V8/v-deo.html I hope you enjoy these. 💜 For songs from HYBE and BIG HIT, as long as you play their intro and pause every so often, they shouldn't get blocked. Copyright strikes will happen, but they shouldn't block you. They will just take any profit from playing that video, which is how it should be.
well, it’s good to also know their background and stuff. lyrically and musically, their albums are quite thematic. rhey just came from the “Love Myself series” with 3 albums and a tour. Then, they were starting the “Map of the Soul series” and this is the title track of that album, which was the 2nd album in MoTS.. They released this around Feb 2020 just when the pandemic was starting to take hold of the world. Their concert scheduled for April that yr kicking off in the US got cancelled.. Dynamite was their song many months into the pandemic, just to uplift everyone.. This was their first full English track as a group.
I'm really enjoying your reactions! I'd love to see you react to Mic Drop ft Steve Aoki. BTS is so diverse, there's something for everyone in their discography.
Well not all the lyrics will make sense the first listen, every line has a hidden meaning to it which makes it fun for most of us, but if you really wanna know the explanation of their songs there are different videos on yt for that But believe me without the lyrics after my long years as an Army I listened to this and immediately knew what this song was about XD
If you want to get a better understanding of this song, I suggest 2 videos: "BTS-ON MV Explained by a Korean" by DKDKTV and "BTS ON Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima Meaning Explained" by Bookish Theories. You have to understand the theory of the shadow, which the first video will explain well.
This was filmed at the Sepulveda Dam in Los Angeles. The background players are The Blue Devils Drumline and UCLA Marching Band. The songs message is of motivation to overcome the darkness/shadow/pain within. Yes... stand up and fight, so to speak. Please react to BLACK SWAN, MIC DROP, and DOPE. Then you should check some of their concert performances.
You should react to BTS's Suga work, he goes as AGUST D on his solo stuff and it's freaking amazing. He's one of the rappers, i really recommend Daechwita or What do you think by AGUST D, for the second one you can watch a lyric video cause it doesn't have an music video. Btw I really like your reactions. You nice, keep going 💜
Hm... honestly I was confused as to why you were confused. You had the right idea about the song. They're just explaining how they go "On" and fight through troubles, pain and fear that never stop and even knock them down at times. We all go through that and they're saying that they will be with us (ARMY) through that. Hopefully you enjoyed the dancing (which was so good!), the visuals, especially the drone shots, and the delivery of the rappers and singers cause they did an amazing job!
I think I was just discombobulated not knowing that there this song would be drastically different to the previous one I reacted to. I get anxious when I don't know what I'm getting myself into. It was no hate or distaste to it actually. I really just had no idea that they were so diverse with their sound. Thanks for watching and I really hope I didn't offend you or any of your community, just trying to learn!
Please react to BLACK SWAN next... BTS is so diversed, that they do almost all genre's of music... U don't know what to expect from their song and the music videos as well.. U can't really put them in a box, coz they do it all... They rap, sing and dance... Their live performances are TOP NOTCH, singing and rapping live while dancing those hard choreographies... They write and produce most of their songs.. Mainly the rappers RM and SUGA have most of their song credits, and the other rapper JHOPE too.. And the other members all had a hand in writing and producing too, which is amazing... So in BTS, there's 3 rappers namely: RM, SUGA, and J-HOPE, and 4 vocalists, JUNGKOOK, JIMIN, JIN and V... Please check more of BTS and see for urself... Subbing now and looking forward to more of ur BTS reactions ..💜💜💜
I love your bts reactions they have over 300+videos and a show as well plus funny content to hope you have an incredible journey diving into bts I know you'll love it.
Keep going with BTS especially if you want more subscribers!!! You will be surprised. They sing all genres! They do not belong in a category of K-Pop. They are musical geniuses! The lyrics...they are saying ...bring the pain ON. They have been through so much to get where they are at. Yes. They are fighters against all haters. You must do research into their history!!! They can get through any pain!!! It's the UCLA drum line and band. No the translation is correct!!! Dance break written by Suga...one of the BTS guys! All of their MV's have extreme detail and excellent production value. It's time you get unlost! BTS is the biggest group in the world. They have broken every record of every famous singer!! FYI - there are explanation videos to all their songs. But you got the basic idea right...they are singing an anthem to continue their fight despite their pain. Watch "Black Swan". That's really deep. "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" even deeper. There is a video that explains all the hardships they have been through! You have barely touched the surface of their brilliant content.
First of all when you react to BTS’ song, you should put your prejudice aside. Second, The lyrics are correct. It’s just that BTS lyricism is deep and poetic mostly written by the members themselves. Their MVs are full of symbolism as well. There is another MV for ON with storyline. Third, you reacted to Dynamite which is their first song in English only. The lyrics doesn’t have much depth in it because it was meant to be a summer vibe and it was not written by them. If you want to understand their lyrics, I suggest you react to their documentaries like Introduction to BTS, The Most Beautiful Life Goes On, Hardships of BTS, Who is BTS. Or, you can watch the explanation of their MVs. You won’t understand the depth of their lyrics if you are a passive reactor. Just saying.
Thanks for the comment but there is no prejudice in any of my statements or actions. I am also an Asian Artist, and I am simply looking to watch and listen to artists that I wouldn't regularly hear. I'm sorry if my thumbnails or titles convinced you that this was an in depth breakdown of BTS but that is not what I am here to do. I am here for people who just want a friend to listen to a song with them, so if being a so called "passive reactor" is all you want to summarize me to then so be it. It just may not be the type of content for you, but I hope you find whatever it is you are looking for here on UA-cam! - Your Friend Jay
I REACTED TO BTS BORN SINGER BUT THE VIDEO HAS BEEN COMPLETELY BLOCKED! IF ANYONE HAS SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO GET THE VIDEO OUT LET ME KNOW
I see lots of reactions to Born Singer here on UA-cam so I don't know what went wrong. You might try posting again with a blurred video. I hope you liked it anyway.
I've seen blurred videos, videos with big writing across it. You might try both and see what works. Good luck!
I have no suggestions but thatis a GREAT song!
Depends which video you reacted to. Send a link?

Great video. Long story short: they want the pain they need the pain so they can embrace it and grow.
This song is giving me the saying “Veni Vidi Vici” vibes

Daechwita one of my top picks for BTS. It it is my top pick for their solo work.
RM the fist rapper is the leader and lead rapper. Every song has a story - they faced a lot of crap because they are Korean, and not just at home.
You are right, they plan this song as the opening act on the concert's stage with a huge chorus. And then covid19 hit.

extreme detail is the norm for BTS
nah the lyrics are good it's juste maybe hard to understand without knowing there story and the reference of the shadow from Carl jung
by the way this is a bit like a performance video it is not the actual mv of the song
