Hey I just got one of these ramps, seems like there’s some other problems, the bottom edge in their video it says it comes to a razor thin taper but mine is just tapered from 6mm to 3.3mm AND I think it’s tapered on the wrong side. AND they did it by hand. The bottom 1.25” of taper was just done with an electric hand sander.
Which side is your bevel on? Should be in the bottom slick side so it lays against the ground leaving a nice transition on the top rough side. Mine is sanded down on the rough side

I cut the edge of mine off and replaced it with 20 gauge sheet metal. Now the transition is smooth. I'll post an update video soon.

@@jasonb993 do you remember if yours was sanded down on the rough side or the smooth side?

We already sent the corrected panels to you (Bevel on the bottom side). FYI- the ABS panels are not done with a sander, they are cut (tapered edge) on a table saw by hand. Many of the parts and material in the QP pacakage is processed or cut by hand.

Hey thanks for the review, I guess. Thing is the ramp you show in the video is 4-5 years old (BTW-says a lot for the durability) and we haven’t sold that model in forever. Since then, many improvements have happened, like there are already many more 2x4s in the tranny, there is a bigger deck and the there is a tapered edge on the ABS bottom, so no need for a steel plate. As far as selling Skatelite on the ramp, we pioneered that in 2002, but with the cost do high, it didn’t fly for long. And it would be MAD expensive to do it now as well, so we only do that on Skateparks. The ABS surface is durable, weatherproof and its grippy and much more economical to use. As far as using Masonite like you have on there now, that went out in 86', cuz its cardboard. Best of Luck!

Y'all need to get over the whole not using a steel plate thing.

Masonite feels better than your plastic material.
