You both rushed into my life as a incredibly amiable transatlantic teaching pair😊😊By means necessary my slightly slow mind I struggle as far as I'm able to catch features of language. Thank you Kat and Mark !!
Thanks again🎉 I noticed these: 1. over dinner(not for dinner) 2.This Saturday(not on this Saturday) 3.Sometime is different from sometimes 4.come along =come with me.
Hi Kat and Mark. Really great phrases! thanks a lot for sharing! To invite something out is tough enough, thanks for facilitating the process so very much. Very polite and kind , respectul phrases. Blessings
It's true, it's already so nerve-wracking! We're really glad that you like the phrases, we find them to be great options when asking someone out, we hope they're helpful in the future!
Hello, my dear teachers. I want to watch you live, but I cannot come across your live broadcast. I wonder if your daily broadcast time is certain? If so, can you specify the time? Thank you.
Hello! We don't do any live classes, we record them before and upload them after we edit them a little. Maybe in the future will try a live class - we'll see!
We actually made a couple of IELTS Vocabulary videos a while back - they are in one of our playlists here: www.youtube.com/@highlevellistening/playlists
I was sure we can’t say I ‘ve been wanting ( wanting,I mean non continuous word) I’m not an English speaker and at schools we study that way. So ,we can?
In formal writing, more slowly would be better, in speaking, people often use both slower and faster as adverbs (probably because we don’t say more fastly, so slower matches faster) Speak slower, go slower, go faster here, drive slower is very commonly used in speaking, hope that helps!
"Grab" a drink is a more casual and friendly collocation. "Would you like to [have a drink] sometime?" "Would you like to [grab a drink] sometime?" Both have the same meaning, but "grab" is more casual. We don't want to put too much pressure on the other person!
Hey guys , hopefully you’ll answer my question: Would you like to hang out sometime?” What’s the vowel sound in AmE of the verb”hang” does it have a vowel sound as in “black cat” or “day”? Dictionaries say it’s the same sound as in “black cat” but a UA-camr teacher says that the -ang, -ank combination sound like /ei/ …😮
4:42 “Are you free this weekend? I was thinking we could do something fun together. " 👆 The first one sentence is simple present tense, why the second one sentence use past continuous tense ? 😂
Great question! “I was thinking we could…” is a very polite and common way to offer some of your opinions as choices to the other person. “I was thinking we could go to movies later?” “I was thinking we could start cleaning the kitchen then the living room.” This is what I was thinking… what about you what do you think about this? Hope that helps!
@@highlevellistening great we are lucky enough to have this chance to be exposed to native speakers ;I am a teacher of English in Morocco .Frankly ,I feel quite ashamed while speaking I need to communicate with native speakers in a daily basic Do you mind if I join any what s up group for teachers of English ,native speakers I guess you might know some.thank you in advance

Are you natives sorry for asking???
Yes we are native English speakers, Kat is from the United States and Mark is originally from England.
