  • This is the first impression testriding the new 2022 Yamaha XSR 900 on the beautiful roads of Tuscany. I own the predecessor 2017 XSR 900 and it was a nice opportunity to try the new model with ‪@yamahamotoreu‬. I have to say the changes they made to the 2022 model are quite significant. Let me know what you think of the new 2022 Yamaha XSR 900 in the comments below.
    A huge thanks to @Yamaha Motor Europe for this amazing time in the FASTER SONS HOUSE.

    Sounds & looks great! Can't wait for mine. The dealer just moved my XSR900 delivery date from May 24th to the 31st. Thanks for the vids on this apparently awesome bike! It's keeping me satisfied I made the right choice!

      How did you get an order in? Or did you place a deposit to get a spot in line?

      @@ChaseLancaster Called around until I found a dealer that had one invoiced, and no deposit on it. I called one dealer that took multiple deposits on one invoice! No way was I playing that game! There are hundreds of dealers around the country. Just call around like I did. I was lucky, and found a dealer in a nearby state. But, I would've traveled up to 1000 miles for one! Good Luck!

    Am I the only one that loved the previous gen`s looks more than this one ? In every other way the 2022 is better, but the looks kills it for me a bit.

      I think it really depends…if you aks me, my previous gen, modded the way it is, look better than this new one! But in flesh the new one looks really good. Pictures etc. don‘t do it justice! The rest of the bike the new one is better. But I love the first gen XSR900. Awesome nimble bike.

      I prefer the older one that I own.
      Wish they'd kept the design as a lot more thought went into it.

    How's the seating position and how tall are you? I'm 5'6" I sat on one it felt like I would be leaning forward a bit too much, but I didn't ride it and the seating position changes when you are riding.

    • @motoroadster9722
      @motoroadster9722  11 місяців тому +1

      I am 178cm (you‘ll have to do the conversion) and i am riding pretty much upright. Not as much as on the mt09 but pretty close. I find the riding position (on the go) on the xsr900 more comfortable than on the mt09. These are a bit too upright.

    The looks on this new one are just amazing, way better than the old gen. The old one was just kinda boring and uninspired looking. This one in blue is so eye catching.

      Well I prefer the design of my gen 1 (but it‘s not stock…). But this new blue color scheme is really stunning! I am also looking forward to see what the future modifications can do to this bike. Compared stock old and stock new, the new one wins! But the modded old models are really nice looking.

    Is it comfortable for like 2-3 hours? The sitting position comfortable? And the seat and suspension are they very stiff like a sport bike or more like all round bike?

    • @motoroadster9722
      @motoroadster9722  2 роки тому

      Absolutely! We rode the bike for like 3-4 hours. The seat is rather hard but not that uncomfortable. The seating position is a bit leaned forward. But once you start pushing the bike, it is really comfortable. The suspension is hard on rough roads bit if you have a decent road then it‘s fine. It is definetly sportier than the 1st gen! But you‘ll sacrifice comfort for this.

    Would you get this or the old one?

    • @motoroadster9722
      @motoroadster9722  11 місяців тому

      Well I would say that depends on your budget. I have the old one and would not upgrade for the new one. On the older generations you can get a great deal! With the new one you‘ll be spending quite some more. Both grest motorcycles! The old one is a bit more nimble to ride, the new one has more features.
