Love the finish on your grandmothers fabric. What a great memory. Good luck to your week - I hope the surgery goes well. You can mail all the way up until Oct 1st for the ATC. As long as they get to me sometime in October, you’re good.
It is so hard when we feel the need to restart a project …. Trust your instincts. You are moving things around in the patterns just like Kim to make it your own. Love it! 🙏 prayers for your mom on Thursday. Have you used Lift your eyes on any chart yet?🦉🧵🪡🌻 fall…driving in the hills of farmland watching the colours go by.
Good Morning my friend and yes I stitch Quaker Rejoice on the call for and with DMC. There is a fabric called Grandma's skirt you have it, 😅 I'm watching you on my laptop so I can make a comment. Every time you said pantaloons it made me smile. I love the cooler weather and just the change of the season. Happy Stitching
Awe, sweet friend! Good afternoon! Yes, I'm going to look for buttons- for the stitch time finish- and more of grandma's fabric when I'm over there this weekend. If I can't find any more, I'll look through hers. I'm sure there are a couple of wool pieces that she isn't wearing anymore that would be lovely as fabric! Pantaloons is fun to say, isn't it- heehee : ) Happy stitching : )
Hi Amy, thanks for the shout-out. If I ever go to TX, you know I'm calling you! I also have a book I want to send you, but I want to do a stitch out of it first. I'll let you know when I am ready to forfeit it. 😂 it could be a while. It is definitely a Renewing Stitches theme. Ha ha. Grandmas skirt (or maybe apron) and it needs to look like it's flour dusted from wiping her hands. 😊 MaryLou has a floss and a fabric named after her. Cindy of Farmhouse Flossies and Such told me she has someting in the works for me too, I still have no clue, but pretty sure it will be green!
Yes! Please do let me know if you are ever close! Grandma's apron is a great idea too!! - with white splotches...it would work great for one of those recipe stitches that I've seen recently! Can't wait to see what Cindy has in mind!!
Always enjoy seeing what you are up to! I’m sure your Mom appreciates you helping her… my Mom is 103! She fell last Wednesday and broke her ankle in two places… going to the Orthopedic Dr tomorrow😢I love stitching, it’s my therapy! 😊
i love that the blackberries are ripe! we just took a walk along the lake near us, and enjoyed snacking on them! pray your mom's surgery goes well and that it's a simple fix. RCR might be more of a recovery situation!
Blackberries! Yes!!! Ours are in the spring but fall blackberries, that would be so lovely! The next fruit to show in our yard is persimmons and that is after the first frost. It'll be a while yet, but we are looking forward to them! Thank you for your prayers, sweet friend! It went well and were are glad to be on the recovery side of things. Hope you get lots of stitching done! And happy walking and blackberry snacking : )
Thank you so much, Amy, for linking my channel! Very kind of you to do that. As for my favorite thing about autumn - this is definitely controversial, but I like the daylight getting shorter, the lengthening shadows, the later sunrises. I like these things because they signal the coming of winter, yes, and with that usually comes better sleep and the particular beauty that the more slanted sunlight has. To be sure, I live in North Carolina, so we don't get the extreme early dark that I had as a child growing up in Michigan, but I do like even the less extreme version we get here in the southern US.
Oh I do love the longer nights as well! More sleep- but also, we can have campfires in the evening and still go to bed at a reasonable hour- ha! The light is lovely during the late fall and winter.
Thank you! Yes and yes- cooler temperatures and closer holidays! Both are supremely enjoyable! Especially with babies : ) Enjoy your baby snuggles and happy stitching, friend!
Amy so many beautiful projects you worked on, I am amazed. I seem to only rotate about 3 at a time, need to see if can add more, such a learning process. Good luck with your mom and dad I am going through a similar situation too. Mom and dad in 2 different places, she finished her last cancer treatment today so yeah for that, now to concentrate on all his issues. It is a long journey. I love the crisp air in the fall and all the smells of course. Reminds me want to make a quick apple dump cake! Tonight needed something easy so doing my 18 count aida project which has a turkey on it. Happy Stitching
Glad she's through with treatment and you can get him on the road to better. It is hard, but also a privilege to care for them. I'll be adding you and your family to my prayers as we go through this season separately, but also together. : ) Happy turkey stitching friend!
Good morning! I love your plan to chart the Lord's verses into the designs. I also stitched Cinnamon Stars with many changes. I love the Plum Street designs. What isn't there to love about Fall!?! I had a piece of pumpkin pie already and can't wait to have my first pumpkin spice chai tea latte. Bring on the cooler temps! Blessings to you!
Thanks for the shout out. Yes the Mary Lou Blue is beautiful floss. I would love to come stitch with you in Texas. Someday. 😊 I just Love those Cinnamon Stars
HI Amy, The colors of Fall are amazing but I have to say I love everything apple! The smells, picking them, baking with them, and drinking hot apple cider. However with 115 weather lately, I have to say I cannot do any of those things because its just too hot! When I saw your beach pattern it immediately made me think of Hebrews 6 19. Happy Stitching friend, maybe I will see you Sunday!
Hi Sandi! YES!!! Apples-I forgot! Yum : ) I hope y'all are getting a break from the heat. 115 sure is hot. And I love Hebrews 6:19 for the beach pattern. I purchased an anchor at hobby lobby years ago that has it etched in and is down the hall to the boy's rooms. I may put it around the outer circle...or maybe take out the letters and put the verse address in the anchor. Or perhaps both....thinking cap activated! Thank you friend and happy stitching. Have a great week! I was at my mom's this weekend and didn't do much internetting. Looking forward to next zoom weekend!!!
Hi Amy! How special to have a piece stitched on a piece from your grandma's skirt! You stitch a lot in two weeks time and even started the goldfinches - and I haven't. 😂 I did watch your last video and didn't comment. I'm so sorry! My keyboard on my phone has been partially freezing on the UA-cam app. Frustrating. So good to see you and spend time with you while working on my wool Bertie's Year blocks.
Ha, I'm the same. I enjoy watching on the big screen and try to remember to comment...but it doesn't always happen. No worries- I appreciate you nonetheless : ) Those Bertie's blocks are so cute- I loved seeing them on your last video!
Hi Amy! Thanks for the shoutout😊 I just live seeing the one you’re doing on your grandma’s skirt! I need to look more carefully at clothes’ fabric at thrift stores!
I love seeing what you are workin on as well : ) Yes, keep an eye out! I was looking at a gingham shirt lasts week. Thought it would look cute as pillows or backing for pillows.
Love the finish on your grandmothers fabric. What a great memory. Good luck to your week - I hope the surgery goes well. You can mail all the way up until Oct 1st for the ATC. As long as they get to me sometime in October, you’re good.
Thank you friend! I picked out something to take this weekend while I'm staying with her, so hopefully it'll be done soon : )

Omgosh I love the sampler stitched on grandma’s skirt!!!! How precious. Thank you for the shoutout sweetie. Have a wonderful September. ❤
Hi friend! Happy September stitching to you as well! Looking forward to the cooler temperatures this weekend!
I live in New England so fall is my favorite. God paints the landscape. It doesn't get any better in the fall in New England.
Visiting NE is on my list- my husband travels there for work a few times during the year, but not usually in the fall. Maybe next year?!?!?

@@RenewingStitches oh I used to have uniforms (pinafores) out of gingham, so using that would add a whole other level😂
