    SOLD! I think this shall be my birthday present for me, from me.
    I was particularly impressed that you measured the energy usage and converted that to cost; in my case, it would probably be about $.13 for a fast cycle.

    The reason why you got E 4 is because of too much suds. You need to put its on its side with the whole that you connect the plumbing to over the sink so you can get out most of the sudsy water, then run a cycle without any tablets or dishes in to let the water clear out all the suds. Next time use powder and don't put too much in. The tablet is designed for a larger dishwasher with larger capacity.

    Appreciate the honest UK review. Too many of the reviews I watched felt like undisclosed paid ads. On amazon it seems to come down to the Comfee or an slightly cheaper unbranded option. I think I am going to go with this. Struggling with cancer/chemo so I really need the help to keep on top of this so fingers crossed and thanks again for the impartial and realistic review.

      @@OneBritish13 Hey, I remember seeing the comment when you posted it but I'd recently gone into surgery and recovery period and totally forgot to reply. I assume this might not be helpful given the time that has passed. But I can personally recommend it for a very short TL;DR.
      The size is quite large and you'll need the pipe to drain the water so measure up and double check. With that means you can generally fill this with a decent amount of stuff in for it's size. Generally 3/4 large plates. A bowl (Mine are very curved), a large stein glass and 2 pint glasses fit perfectly. I then removed the utensil rack as it was irritating me and instead laid the cutlery near the front right (facing it). I am looking into getting a holder like the uploaded but I just wanted a single small basket and they're kinda hard to find at a reasonable price. I've been too tired to progress this further.
      It cleans incredibly well, using the tips from the video I just throw my washing tablet into the bottom, saves it getting clogged on the right hand side where water hits the least heavy. I usually use the 30min Rapid option, cleans incredibly well, come in clutch getting a clean plate when cooking food and I'd forgot to set it off. Anything like sushi rice on a pan I would do hygienic wash, it makes the water much hotter, cleans for longer and from memory the results have always been great. I will do a hygienic wash if I've left things on the side for awhile waiting for enough to build up to throw into the machine, never any water other than in the curved bottoms of glasses, just a little shake will fix that and let it air a bit.
      In terms of issues, I've got a bit of discolouration on the bottom of the door. This isn't a major issue, going to happen with these types of plastics and I sometimes load it early and leave it so partially my fault. The machine gave me an error code that related to water getting somewhere it should not, I ended up having to tip it on it's size and drain all the water after about 3 weeks of use. Wasn't ideal as I'd had surgery and not meant to lift heavy things. That did fix the problem and that's not happened again, my guess is i'd be sloppy when pouring the water?. Lastly the door wouldn't open itself for a short period of time, this was self resolved very quickly so not a huge issue.
      Pet peeve is the water jug they use is bloody uncomfortable. I can't describe it exactly, but it's a jug with a U-shaped handle with the top of the U-part against your hand. When holding a full jug of water I could see it been too uncomfortable someone in more advanced years to hold. Odd design overlook.
      Overall, it's been crucial in helping me keep on top of my washing, I bought some smaller chopping boards just for it as my new rule is, if it doesn't fit. It doesn't get used.

    I am in the UK, and bought this dishwasher on a 'best buy' review. As the OP stated, loading is a pain in the a**, and I lost my temper and smashed most of my side plates, as they would not stand up, even when loaded as per instructions. Maybe this says more about me than the dishwasher, but I still would not recommend it. When Amazon lets me know I can review it, it will get 0 or 1 stars. So frustrating.
    Incidentally, all cycles take 11 grammes of powder in the recess on the door. I closed the door a little hard, and threw powder all over the crockery. Still came out OK though.

    How you fill water and how many times you need to fill water when washing a batch of utensils

    • @ecoomber
      @ecoomber  Рік тому +1

      You just need to fill it once per load. It takes about 5-6 jugs of water (the jug comes with it) to fill it. It also comes with a hose so you can connect it directly to a water source if you want.

    I'm tempted for one of these but they're not as cheap as permanent counter top dishwashers. I'm a little wary of it being an unknown brand. How are you finding the dish washer a month on from your review?

    • @ecoomber
      @ecoomber  2 роки тому +3

      It's still going strong. I use it about 5 times a week, and always on the rapid cycle. I was also worried because of the brand, but it seems to be working fine two months out. If you order it somewhere like Amazon that has free returns, you can always try it out for two weeks -- and of course you can process a return which will give you like another two weeks to decide if you want to keep it.

    Any idea if you can use rinse aid on this unit / where it would go ?

    • @ecoomber
      @ecoomber  Рік тому +1

      I don't think you can add it separately as there is no compartment. But I use the ASDA brand ultimate dishwasher pods that apparently have "rinse aid action" (whatever that means!) and have had very good results.

    I dont understand how does wash detergent from the hole in the door get on the dishes ? Should not it fall down from its place when you close the door ? Even if it does not fall down i dont understand how it gets on dishes.

    • @ecoomber
      @ecoomber  Рік тому

      When it starts, the bottom part fills with water and mixes with the detergent, and then this water is recirculated within the dishwasher for the wash cycle. This is the same as a "normal" dishwasher, but without the little door that pops open at a certain time.

    • @Temporalplace
      @Temporalplace Рік тому

      @@ecoomber So the dirt from dishes and detergent flow together in water ? Sounds disgusting.

    • @ecoomber
      @ecoomber  Рік тому +4

      @@Temporalplace Well there's a filter fine mesh filter at the bottom. The same water is recirculated because that's how every dishwasher works... and that's how washing dishes in a sink works. It doesn't just continually pump in more water or else you'd need to continually add more detergent and it would be wastful. The dishes come out remarkably clean.
