I find particularly fascinating the linking of intelligence of the mind with that of the body. Something that I've found a recurring issue in my experience of virtual simulation.

Ben Goertzel is a phenomenom of the highest academic degrees and beyond- like a medium of a turning point in human history - a metamorphosis into another form of existence, yet so simple in his positive attitude towards life- how many of these geniuses can you see in this contemporary world ? Mutual
intelligence always had a magic glue how far the human journey can go and the AI project can give a boost to the general mutual intelligence , to become more dense within the human entities, so finally they will act more accordingly to the self evident interest of life itself -it all makes sense and is no "mambo jambo" at all - Ben is a messenger and catalyst in human evolution towards the better quailty of life - his capability to convey this transition to the non academic masses in very articular ways is needed at the core of it, simply because his mature and wise charisma and eloquence in his presentations is what
is called trustworthy - a mutual intelligence living already in the "singularity" as a metaphor- Additionally he has the other form of intelligence that can understand and create extreme complexities- that is as rare as beauty and intelligence combined...he talks and acts with inspiring conviction - and the hair isnt even white yet...Time to turn into a butterfly and enjoy the flowers so to say..for all those who havnt seen anything yet because they havnt consulted their mutual intelligence which is actually the original singularity.. Now this is not a derivative of monotheism or religion- its just natural growth and transformation into something that isnt left in the dark what life is all about- understanding is inherit in our mutual intelligence which is more than an object looping in front of a mirror ...
hmm.. I have difficulties with the word "consciousness".. I think its just another branch of the observing mind- but to be life or to observe it is still the big difference between a tree and its shadow .. the mind is like a shadow..and so is concsiousness it appears to me.. it is the immediate action in the whole process of life, not the coordinated actions by will of a conscious mind that decides and gives impulses to act.. because thats just confusing and all too late.. growth, action and transformation is happening in the presence and this is the realm of the whole existence, it doesnt matter where and how many dimensions , realities, illusions, black and white holes, universes, times, hyperspaces..you name it ..all is simply here and now...its a formula that explains our realm-

He's a hippy. A genius hippy. Nothing wrong with that, in fact, it adds more creativity to his work.

James Reading Quite the opposite. Hippies are supposed to be peace loving and harmonious with nature. By building free thinking androids, how is this not wrong? Self-aware skynet type A.I. systems aren`t cool, dude.

Ben Goertzel mentioned Pei Wang's NARS system, I interviewed Mr Wang - the video should be up today sometime

No one from the HBP yet. It would be interesting to interview Henry Markram, though not sure how to get in contact with him.

"ow entropic goals (love, cooperation, coexistence, empathy, ...)" These are high entropy, not low entropy, states! Anything that increase the similarity of states of a system to each other is an entropy increasing dynamic.

BRAIN : FINALLY SOLVED (HAL 9000 is between the following lines too). The human evolution ( 7 million years ) must perform / accomplish the evolution of intelligence, but I have found only "the evolution of emotions". These three processes intersect at one point - baby / human infant that is incapable for independent survival for many years. That is not an evolutionary mistake, on the contrary, that is the key element of my research. By observing it’s mother’s behavior, a process called MSP /multi self-projection passively occurs in baby’s brain when child perceives guardians body as his own. That way infant’s CNS immediately learns the shortest way to get something done, which enables the creation of many more similar thinking processes till the moment when a minimal number of thinking processes are required in order to effect of self-consciousness arise.
To connect all that I have mentioned with a huge number of scientific data (Denisovans, Homo naledi, Scientific Adam, Mitochondrial Eve, autism, speech, pleasure in the presence of fire, dreams...) required membership in the Mensa organization... The biggest picture (the framework) for all scientific data (even A.I. because start, origin of original, in making SAI/AGI is crucial / what has been missing) is FEST theory. HAL 9000 is between the following lines too. evolutionofhumanintelligence.wordpress.com/

how does software engage our physical world other than as a pattern distributions of latency ?

Ben's a smart cat. Wow. Just wondering, would an AGI be like a baby? Would it need to grow up? Probably to difficult to answer.

Could resource availability be a variable that needs to be included in considerations of AGI?

    • @scfu
      @scfu  10 років тому +1

I believe so - the more resources available the more power there is to apply to the algorithms that make up an AGI (or many). An AGI could be optimized through algorithm improvement too.

The conceptual structure has a fractal nesting such that, there is never
any real separation but a continuous rearrangement of associations.
Awareness is dependent on the levels of description associated with the
nested structure. It is only irreducible to some resolution, these
various components are chosen by the reticular activating system and
give the awareness. At the same time another level of processing or
integrated association is going on at the subconscious level, to some
degree of resolution. These fractal arrangements could be acting like
antennas reading fields in the quantum realm.

I need to ask Tom Campbell about what he think will happen after an intelligence explosion. He believes the universe to be a consciousness maximizing entity ... and we talked a
lot about Fermi's paradox and stuff but I never actually asked him about what he believes to happen after a (positive) Singularity.

Yes, thanks - it is all part of my evil plot to turn science into a device to transform the planet into a massive thinking daemon AI to do my bidding - first the world, then it will consume every Everett branch in the multiverse.

100$ it won't. It will either follow low entropic goals (love, cooperation, coexistence, empathy, ...) or it will shut itself down because existence as a superintelligent agent does not make any sense (no more local entropy to reduce/compress, nothing fundamental left to learn, nothing of sufficient complexity left to entertain you, etc. ... and simulating 25000 other universes with all the suffering within them does not sound that entertaining to me either) ...
