Wowza! Gorgeous yarns today! Every Christmas Eve we attend a big extended family get together in the cities. That means a 2+ hour drive down and back again but worth it to celebrate with the elders who are all in their 80's now. As many cousins as possible come with their families. So cooking before hand for potluck, long car ride, great food and company and sometimes a gift exchange game. Lots of good stories shared. Merry Christmas to you, special gal❤!
Merry Christmas! I have loved watching you open all your advents this month. 😊 Our tradition on Christmas Eve is Christmas Eve chili. It’s something I look forward to every year. That and cozy Christmas movies and family. Have a great holiday with yours!!
My youngest was born on December 20 and while I have never once in her 22 years combined Christmas and her birthday, she's very meh about Christmas too. Fortunately I have 3 grandsons from her older sister and they LOVE Christmas so that helps a lot. I've loved watching your vlogmas this year. I hope you had the best Christmas day, Amie!
Happy Christmas! We have 2 days of Christmas here in the Netherlands! Today 1st day, no visitors or difficult meals, so enough time to knit and watch your Vlogs! Will miss those every day ....😢 Christmas Eve cast on: socks for a dear friend. She also makes a pair for me andcwe exchange when we both are done!
Happy Christmas! It was so fun watching your beautiful advents appear each day. One of my Christmas Eve traditions is to sit by the Tree when everyone is in bed, and just watch the lights. I've cast on a Secret Test Knit for my Christmas Eve cast on, so I can't talk about it 😅
I dont have any Christmas eve traditions but when my sisters and I were young my mom would let us open a gift before bed and it was always PJs. She said it was so we would all have nice new jammies for when she took pics on xmas morning 😂 The Beach bum mini was my fav today, full skeins are a definite need! Merry Christmas 🎄
Merry Christmas Aime! Some of our traditions are lasagna for Christmas Eve dinner, huge breakfast for Christmas and ham, Mac n cheese (home made) and of course green bean casserole. One of my daughters is amazing at baking and she is always in charge of desserts. New Year’s Eve and day are the days that we do little snack foods all night and day. Oh and we have mimosas all throughout the day on Christmas Day ❤❤❤
We go out to dinner as a family, watch A Christmas Story over and over and wrap every gift. My Christmas Eve cast on is socks using the yarn from the Hypnotic Yarn Christmas Eve cast on box. Started the first one this morning and will probably get to the heel before bed.
We don't have any traditions but this year we celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve because my husband has to work Christmas night. We ate ham dinner, ate a lot of yummy cookies, opened presents, and watched The Santa Claus with Tim Allen. It was a nice evening.
I’m still technically working but I’ve just been sitting here all day knitting on the Musselburgh I cast on this morning. Christmas Eve might we get together with my in-laws and eat tamales and play games, so I’m headed out soon for that. I hope you have a very merry Christmas!🎄🎁
As a kid we always got new pj’s for Santa coming, I still buy myself Xmas pjs usually but didn’t this year. Hubby and I pick a Xmas movie each to watch on Xmas eve, mines normally the muppet Xmas Carol. Although I have the yarn for my Xmas eve cast on, not done it, couldn’t find a pattern that called out to me, so been knitting on my advent cowl/infinity scarf instead. Still got 6 colour to add to it 😂 Merry Christmas, hope you have a lovely day with your family.
thank you for the vlogmas' so fun. christmas eve is all the chacuterie board stuff, and work until noon (I work at a church, there are lots of bulletins and other stuff to do for the three services that night). then attend service. more (hot) charcuterie board stuff (Trader Joe's has the best stuff) and whatever christmas movies we haven't yet seen from Netflix or Disney+ - the kiddo likes to watch Home Alone. No to Home Alone 2, Christmas Vacation and quite a few other "classic" movies.
