I just finished making this dress with the same fabric and i lined it with china silk, this dress is the loveliest thing i have ever made it is stunning in person. I made about 4 trial versions out of cotton and i only just figured out how to do the sleeves lol. Thank you so much :))
I just made this! The video and instructions vary slightly in some places, but it was still easy to follow. Love how it turned out! Thanks for making the pattern!
@jumpingllamas11 pay for what? how to do measurements? Or to buy a dress? Trolls behind private pages are always the slowest ones. Get a life and get a hobby 🙄

Love the dress! Esthetically, it should be just above the knee. I would’ve worn this back in the ‘60s! And now I know why my mom was always telling me to make my skirts/dresses longer!
Hey can you plz show how we can make patterns for ourselves.... This can be helpful to us plzzz... It's a request And your work really deserves ❤ ur too good at your work as well as explaining it.... Keep it up....
Thank you! You can make the dress length what ever you'd personally like it to be- simply measure down from the waist your desired length, and add the same amount to all the needed pattern pieces :)
This looks so good. I'm size 2 at waist and hips but 3 inches less at bust than size 2 pattern. Is it possible to take in 3 inches at bust if I buy the size 2 pattern? Thank you so much:)
Hi! I just bought you pattern and currently attempting to make it. Are you adding double interfacing? One on the whole pattern and then interfacing strips on the edges as well? Or are the strips on the edges only for those who do not want to interface the whole dress?
if you have a dress with lining you’ll notice it’s effectively a second version of the dress. it just makes the dress feel much better. if the lining and dress were sewed together to begin with it might warp the fabric when you sew and wash the garment
Such a beautiful dress ❤ too bad my measurements are all over the place to use the pattern. It will be easier for me to use my sloper. I'll certainly recommend the pattern to my friends with more regular bodies 😅

Hello ! I am a viewer of your channel and I love your designs. I'm a beginner in sewing. I am trying out things watching your videos. My parent's Anniversary is comming in a few days. I wanted to gift my mom a handmade dress(made by me) but I have problem regarding that. So I wanted to ask you. Would it okay with you to help me out a bit?
My problem is thst its $17 and you dont even get a real pattern. You have to print it out on lots of little a4 sheets of printer paper and selotape them all together....and then you have this cumbersome product instead of a tissue pattern you can put neatly into an a5 envelope.
@@still_your_zelda First time Ive encountered such a thing. Ive actually just bought two from amazon , they cost €21 for both inc shipping payment , and they arrived as normal tissue patterns.
This is an example of why pressing as one sews can't be overstated. It really does make everything look clean and professional.
This is not not to be mean, but it would’ve been more educational to get less ironing in the video

Great job with amazing, concise details & instructions for people still learning.
OBSESSED with this fabric! 😍
Such a gorgeous dress! 😍💕 I already have my sewing pattern just waiting for my fabric to get here! 😊❤️ Can’t wait for part 2! 😋
Thank you so much! I'll be posting part 2 soon 🥰
Awww, nice❤
I would love to get the pattern, though it's a bit expensive
Nice dress. Too bad there is not a video that shows taking measurements and making dresses according to measurements.

Now I need part two to finish it without lining!
Please also make a jumper skirt pattern using tweed fabric. With a princess line cut and a length that covers the knees.
This dress is so beautiful
I hope some of your pattern tutorials were free because I am living in a country which I can't pay international:)))

Cute dress ever♡
Is it free pattern
can you make a tutorial dress below the knee something like that but below the knee length like 45 in
Please can you explain how to cut it on paper before cutting it on the fabrics
Great video
Cute dress with the fabric! Does this pattern have a longer length available in case we don't want a mini?

What type of interfacing did you used for the whole fabric? The detail box only list the tape.
okay but i NEED to learn to sew ASAP !
The sleeves ❤
Where did you get the fabric from? It’s so beautiful!
I found that fabric at Mood Fabrics online. I was amazed at all the different colors available.
Thank you for the tutorial, the pattern site does not open for me Please send me the pdf

Is it possible to make the length longer😊
Lovely tutorial
Thanks for watching🩷
Do you have to cut the pieces yourself (white piece) or you can buy it?
Where do you get your fabric from friend? I love the style
This is a Chentille Tweed from Mood Fabrics ❤️

Please where did you get your ironing board, tailor's clapper, and that sphere that you used to iron the bust from?
Beautiful dress
Ok so random question. Why not just sew the lining directly to each piece before sewing the pieces together? Would that not save on time?
if you have a dress with lining you’ll notice it’s effectively a second version of the dress. it just makes the dress feel much better. if the lining and dress were sewed together to begin with it might warp the fabric when you sew and wash the garment
@@lilydrury4529 Ohhhh ok. Great to know. Thank you!
beautifully made dress but I would not make so short
It does look like Chanel or Alessandra Rich. Very classy
May I know what sewing machine your using cause I don't know what sort of sewing machine to purchase. Thank you
What size did she wear?
Does the pdf size include seams?
Please share the drafting of this dress.
Hey can you please tell me fabric you used.....and alternate fabric for similar appearance?
I used a Chenille tweed for this dress, but you can use bucle tweed or poplin 🩷
Hi what if I want to make it longer ?
Just beautiful 💕
Thank you! 😊
Hello, can i use cotton fabric.
Can someone explain why the lining isnt attached to the dress?
From where to get that pdf??

No pattern drafting section

Muito bom ,legal mesmo
How can I get the pattern
You can get the pattern here: dressmakingamore.com/products/chantellepattern
What is the fabric content?
I'm using a Chenille tweed here from Mood Fabrics :)
