  • This Convection Smart Range is LG's latest iteration on it's line of "Smart" electric ovens. If you squint your eyes, it does resemble your Mom's old oven. But there's a digital heart beating beneath all that ceramic glass and stainless steel. This is a programmable electric range with multiple cooking and cleaning modes. The stove even has it's own wireless mobile app! Check out my video to see it work!

    I am so relieved to watch this video! I just bought this today and felt rushed into it by the sales guy. I wanted to take advantage of boxing day sales today so hope I got it for a good price.
    I am unsure about the crazy blue interior color but maybe I can use some fun color in my life.
    As with anything these days there appear to be a lot of complaints about LG and the poor quality of all appliances.
    Anyway, feeling a bit panic stricken from buying this today without doing more research, so thanks again for this reassuring and informative video. The sales guy didn't even tell me about the app, so that is a surprise!

      The app is interesting but we don't use it. Be sure to only use the recommended cleaners for the stove top. Never scrape any burnt food deposits that may accumulate on the glass. That will help to prevent any glass scratches. Happy cooking!

    i just bought this oven without over thinking it. I decided to read some reviews and found out that I need to buy a special cleaner for the cook top, I can't just wash my stove. I have to read a manual. The knobs apparently turn the burners on by barely touching them causing house fires. The oven turns on remotely causing house fires. It's difficult to operate if you're not some kind of rocket scientist. Every video shows all the amazing features except how to turn the oven off. So I guess I'll have to go turn the breaker off every time i leave my house. Every salesman talks about how fantastic it is and now I'm thinking the only reason to buy this oven is if you actually want to burn your house down for the insurance money. I feel like i'm going to use this oven for about a year and absolutely lose my mind making chicken strips and end up buying one of those old white ones from the 70's because I just want to cook some food without having problems. This is why I don't buy nice things.

    The drawer isn't for storing its a warming drawer .

    • @user-wi3ic6kn8h
      @user-wi3ic6kn8h 2 роки тому

      I think, in order for a drawer to classify as a warming drawer by LG’s definition, it needs to have a heating element at the top of the drawer which can be controlled by pushing a button on the control panel. See here >> ua-cam.com/video/jz8gYU04Un4/v-deo.html
      I have this model (LG 6325D), and there is no element on the inside of the drawer which would would pose a storage issue.
      But really and truly, manufacturer’s are just trying to cut corners in my opinion.
      I looked at almost all the floor models of all the different models and brands on the electric ranges, and sure enough, all the bottom drawers were substandard in comparison to other previous (I wanna say a decade or so ago) (some more than others).
      I can still store light weight items in the LG 6325D model, just not as many.
      I am apprehensive of storing any cookware that has a substantial amount of weight for fear it would bend the frame or weight the drawer down too much and throw it off track.

    After now owning this Model since the upload of this video (I am assuming the upload was close to your install date) ,which was in November 2020, how does the surface of your cooktop fare?
    Some bad reviews said the glass top is defective/temperamental and scratches easily, which I am hoping is not the case.
    Since the oven lacks the bottom element, does your food cook thoroughly and evenly all the way through? Or does it take convection baking to achieve close to the desired cooking end?
    Are there any quirks you feel are important to be aware of? Thanks in advance.

    • @rockpaperstone8722
      @rockpaperstone8722  2 роки тому +5

      Hi,
      Cooktop: So far so good. No scratches or cracks. I use the recommended cleaner. I still get grease and overspills that cooks onto the top but the cleaner gets it off. The manual recommends a "metal" scraper for "burnt on foods" that I haven't tried.
      Oven: My food always bakes thoroughly and evenly in either mode.
      Quirks: I don't use the wireless control function but we did set it up when the stove was installed. I have since attempted to disable it but there doesn't seem to be any way to turn it off. I would still like to have more storage available in the bottom drawer.

    • @welbyreherra3636
      @welbyreherra3636 2 роки тому +2

      Thank you for your attentions and information. I recently purchased this model, but am now waiting on install, roughly a week from now.
      Soo … still going through the Manuel and familiarize myself with the HOW TO’S and the DO NOT’S.
      I did notice a lot of models of not only LG, but others as a well, don’t have the storage space due to larger oven capacity.
      And all of drawers on various models, as well as brands, were either flimsy or semi flimsy, even the newer GE model that is similar to the one you showed in the beginning of the video which I also had, and am now replacing with LG.
      Thanks for the tip on the wireless function. Wireless functionality can have some disadvantages, which I try to steer away from unnecessary troubles. Old school works for me.
      Just wish the market place would still offer old school appliances (more notably, washing machines) as they were never the replacement hassle they have become. Gone are the days. (Sigh) …
      Overall , it seems like a good investment.

      Clean it every day with Weimans cooktop cleaner and Weimans polish. I start with a razor blade to loosen the bad spills, remove the big chunks with a wet sponge, then use the Weimans cleaner and polish. I rub using a cloth until no residue is left on the cloth. If it's done everyday thoroughly, it will look like new. It's extra effort, but after two years of heavy use, my cook top looks perfect. For inside the oven, there are several UA-cam videos on cleaning it. The suggestions take time and effort, so don't wait too long or the spills get baked on pretty hard.

      I understand her frustration with small storage space. … I think it is great that she points out by demonstrating exactly what type of bakeware this drawer can actually accommodate. …..and she acknowledges that you do get a larger capacity oven which will cut into your drawer space… just be prepared.
      This is now the standard that all these generic stand alone ranges come with as far as the quality of these tin type drawers go, as the manufacturers are trying to cut corners in mass production.
      The drawers are now flimsy and some don’t really sit well on the racks they roll on, and can easily get off track. … all these models … now are like this to one degree or another….
      15 yrs ago, this was not the case. The drawers were sturdy and well made, and was not even an issue as far as the durability of a solid structure was concerned on even the most basic of models and brands.
      You go back to the 1960’s … 1970’s and some of the early 1980’s…. the standard was…. to build an oven/stovetop with plenty of storage space for pots and pans to have handy and ready at the stove. …
      Some cooking vessels, being made of cast iron can be a heavy lug from cabinet to stove ….. for some elderly people or the handicapped. Also trying to find a cooking vessel, where you may have to reach way back in a cabinet to select the right one for your meal plan, is actually a more of a hassle, than if you have it right there ready at the stove itself. ……..
      Gone are the days where the consumer is the highest priority in the manufacturing of goods and services… things were built to last and/or to provide all the features necessary to make cooking or whatever the case may be, a more pleasant experience.
      Google the stoves they made in the 50’s or earlier… they usually had a very deep side drawer or even 2 side drawers with a double oven …. In a stand alone electric or gas range…… retro is the where it’s at. Now it is all about mass production… for turning a buck…..
      If you want good storage space in a stand alone stove… you gotta pay big bucks.

Tried for severral months to get help with a $1500.00 oven i bought. They would NOT help at all. They all use a generic response : "Please contact me dirtectly for assistance". But that is all you will ever get. junk product, horrible service (actually NONE). Please research and you can save yourself anxiety and thousands of dollars. I wish someone had warned me...
