May you find the djembe where ever you be Mamady! We miss your high energy and thank you for all you have done to spread Mandingue music throughout the world! Much love and many blessings! We will all see each other over the rainbow soon enough.
Two different continents different languages and dialects but they speak the same musical language of the djembe and to me this is paying homage to a true Djembefola grandmaster. Long live Mamady Keita. Rest in heaven and your spirit with our ancestors guide us and teach us in spirit. We love and miss you here in the mortal life Mamady Keita and you live on through Nasira and all of those who learned and was thought by you personally every time I think of one of our beloved djembefola masters it almost brings me to tears. I'm so thankful that Mamady Keita was born and lived so many years and transcended to the spirit life. Thank you Mamady Keita for you knowledge of the djembe and the deep rich history you have shared over the years with all of us weather in person or by way of UA-cam videos and instructional videos as well. Many were and still are inspired by you and the legacy you left here in this life for us to learn and share with each other. God blessed the spirits and souls of those transcended to the spirit life.
21 June 2021 How time has passed. Can't believe it's been almost 3 years now. Mamady Keita inspired a world wide appreciation for djembe! Although I didn't meet him personally, I love and miss him so much. Your post did make me cry! The funny thing is that I feel him in my heart ❤️ like he's here more than ever in spirit, in truth. Thank you for your post!
You are very welcome. I feel the same way. June 3rd made 40 years that I became a djembefola. Most of the teaching I received was from UA-cam after my spiritual dad passed in February of 2008 and stepdad in December of 2021. I watch Mamady s video quite a bit and to see how he had a positive effect on people was awesome. I never met him either and I wished that could have met him. He seemed to be a very peaceful loving man that loved everyone. It shows how much for those who had thee honor to meet and learn from him got to see and witness that. I sure wish I could have met him even if it was just to be able to converse with him. Rest in peace Mamady Keita. Another spirit in Djembefola heaven.@@nevilmorham8565
