When I decided to tidy the cables up outside the house what I did is got my boxes of cleats out as there is around 6 cables and drilling holes tapped plugs in and screwed the in. I had the same issue..... If I used standard clips it will be 6 cables down the wall and along.
The best thing is now you really don't notice them as they are up against a lip where the pebble dash meets the brick, in between the meeting point there is what I'd call I tile so there is a good lip on.
like I said I just used swa armoured cable cleats.
    great video mate :D

Thanks for the effort you put into these very informative videos Vince.....
I have just had a very traumatic experience moving from TalkTalk to BT.
People are virtually held to ransom by the moronic attitude and actions of OPENREACH, who believe that they are "holy than thou", and mess with peoples lives. These videos of yours give people like me the confidence to try things ourselves, and keep the arrogant OPENREACH people out of the equation ..... well done, and thanks!!

Great production. I am looking for some tower pin plugs to hold the pipework for some outdoor irrigation. Could you please tell me where I can buy them.

vince when you patch a cat 6 ethernet cable to rj45 does it matter if 1 or 2 wires arnt hitting the end of the plug? can you still get a connection?

+dangerchris1 Often you have 2 prongs, one at the front and one further backof the little gold contact so as long as it hits the back prong it will make the connection but it would be best to try and wiggle the wires up to the end of the plug so both prongs make contact. Thanks Vince

Hi Vince, I'm with talk talk fibre and for some reason when I use there router i cannot connect to my brother when playing on the ps4. but if I just connect a BT modem everything works fine so I wanted to connect the router and modem separately but at the same time so my ps4 can use the modem an the router is there for the rest of the house. how is this possible iv tried a double adsl plug but it didn't work.

+Jamie Pollard Hi, unfortunately I don't think that is possible unless maybe you put a network switch after the modem and then connect the router and PS4 into the network switch. It sounds like some issue with the settings on the Talk Talk router so it would be best if you got the settings sorted. Maybe if you do a Google search there might be a forum where someone else has had the same problem and posted how to solve it.Good luck Vince

There is an easier way........order a 1.5mm masonry drill bit from Ebay........drill into the mortar approx 5mm.........this gives the "clip" nail a head start......and then knock it in the rest of the way using a hammer

+Banto o Hi, I am not sure about the setup in Pakistan but it is losing sync with the equipment in the telephone exchange. If you have DSL filters make sure all the phones/fax machine/sky box/alarms etc are filtered. Then to do some fault finding, maybe swap the filter to the modem. If you have a test socket on your master socket then just plug the modem directly into the test socket to see if it losing sync after a couple of hours. Then you know whether your internal wiring is affecting the signal or not. Lastly it could be your modem which is at fault.Good luck with it.Thanks Vince
