I haven’t watched since the rebrand. There aren’t enough hours in the day and there’s stuff I don’t like about their product. But when I saw Joe Hendry in a loser leaves town match, I had to see it for myself. Hendry is an incredible talent, and is one of few to make me invest in his character, and they put on a good match
I'm the same haven't been following at as much as I used to every time I put it on there's more wrestlers I dont know than k ow and with shows like mlw and others it's getting harder to keep up weekly but as soon as I read about hendry in a loser leaves I clicked. I was actually hoping it was hendry that lost was thinking maybe aew or nxt uk had signed him he deserves to be on the biggest shows. Him, Joe coffey, mcintyre dar and Jack jester I try to keep up with their careers as much as possible think all 5 are amazing. I love icw and I'm scottish so am a bit biased with them 😂
Gutted for Kidd, so wanted him to win. Gabriel Kidd you have many more battles in you and you will progress to greatness. All the best Kidd.
Sad to see kidd go, I remember him being a pudgy jobber now hes chiseled and I hope he gets alot of opportunity to grow as a better wrestler.

ROH is trash, why would you wish that on anyone? Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to AEW. They'll want a few more UK guys to appeal to the ITV deal and their upcoming UK PPV.

The reason I love defiant so much is it gives wrestlers like kid a bigger platform to preform not only to a bigger crowd but the thousands of people on UA-cam watch it gets them more known it helps build their confidence their mic skills their characters thank you Kidd good luck in the next chapter
I'm suprised that Kidd lost and not Hendry. I thought they were eventually gonna put the World Title on Kidd. Does anyone know where he's going next?

That was a great match and it's sad the way it ended. Kidd's career ended with this league but he can always open up another chapter by going for another wrestle league.

I like Defiant Wrestling, but to be honest, most of the recent episodes have been kind of... meh. You'll have 4 matches and maybe one is actually any good. This one show, this one match, has been better than most of what Defiant has done this year.
Ever since it was WCPW I've felt like they've been doing it in reverse. When they first started, they had a small venue as they spent the budget on American wrestlers, trying to build an audience and kind of forgetting the independent UK talent (that we have a lot of). Now they have built the audience on imports, but we have the up and coming talents that we haven't been able to build an appreciation on yet, because they haven't been around from the early days
@@ZackBlackwood97 wrong dude. As an American who didn't know much about the UK scene WCPW introduced me to the UK scene as a whole. If it wasn't for WCPW I wouldn't have know Big Damo, Rampage Brown, Martin Kirby, El ligero, Joe hendry (oh I could keep going). To answer OP I think defiant really has changed from what it was and for some reason the crowds hardly participate like they used to I don't know but...I still enjoy defiant

it's kinda weird and annoying that Lana Austin is now a babyface with no explanation of why that is, it's purely because her opponents are heels
Lana as a heel never fully landed, she was still getting cheered even when she was meant to be booed
Kirsty Bailey you don’t really have any heels in the women then, literally anyone except the champ is a face. Even if it didn’t work, they could’ve put more effort in the turn
Lizzy Styles is the heel the division needs. I don't mind everyone else pretty much being faces, because you can still get invested and root for someone, and just enjoy the match for what it is.

I think what happened was everyone was super concerned about which one would go. Once the kayfabe curtain was masterfully let down (WCPW references with the bowing), the crowd showed exactly how they felt. No one really wanted either one to leave. Kidd's a great heel, and Hendry's a great character all around.
Eric is correct. We were all so caught up in the emotion of it. For a lot of us the thought of either Hendry or Kidd leaving was devastating and we didn't want to lose either of them
