  • In this video, Martinthevlogger, an expert on Can-Am Spyder and Ryker motorcycle vehicles, discusses the benefits of upgrading the stock swaybar to an aftermarket one. A swaybar, also known as an anti-roll bar or stabilizer bar, is a component of a vehicle's suspension system that helps reduce body roll during cornering, improving handling and stability.

Martin explains that upgrading to an aftermarket swaybar can provide even better performance and handling characteristics. Aftermarket swaybars are typically thicker and stiffer than the stock bars that come with a vehicle, providing increased resistance to body roll and improving the vehicle's overall handling.
He further goes on to share his personal favorite, the H&R Heavy Duty Swaybar, which he believes is the best option in the market. Martin explains that the H&R Heavy Duty Swaybar offers improved stability and handling, as well as a more sporty and aggressive feel to the vehicle's suspension.
Overall, if you're looking to improve the handling and performance of your Can-Am Spyder or Ryker motorcycle, upgrading to an aftermarket swaybar may be a great option. Martinthevlogger recommends the H&R Heavy Duty Swaybar as the best option in the market for its excellent performance and handling characteristics.

Very well presented information Martin. It is obvious you have a good grasp of what is going on with the bar. I run the old design Baja Ron on my RTL.

I've been riding my 2015 F3S with stock sway bars & shocks since new. It wasn't until last year, that I noticed the rear shock bottoming out horribly & "travel" in my steering.
I'm now researching sway bars & rear shocks.
Thank you for simplifying & explaining how these magical parts function. ❤️

Showed my friend my new Spyder F3 LTD and told him that i wanted to change the swaybar at one point, he looked at the original installed one and said immediately to me that this was a very skinny one for such a heavy bike. So funny because i didn't say anything about havy duty ones from your shop.

@@MartinTheVlogger I have ridden a friends 2012 rt with stock sway bay and not as stable as my 2017 rt with the upgraded bar . It was on there when I purchased the bike , still has the plastic links .. maybe changing them might help a little , when going 2 up i still feel that a stiffer bar would perhaps help.

@@spsniper1170 well, i dont play politics and if somebody asks i give answer without blsht.. Yes by far 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ not sure what is ultimate about that other bar appart from the name. I have Bajaron bars on the shop, they are ok bars we sell them as they are cheaper and ok for less advanced riders... but i refused to buy ultimate bars... I like Ron, but its wrong. This 2piece link design i understand why its used for Ryker and i am fine to sacrifice performance on Ryker bike in return for much more comfy installation... but its complete nonsense for Spyder. Swaybar its about power and how strong it is... 2 link set will newer be as strong as 1 piece set. It has tiny movements that ruine the whole thing. This is just about links.. now our bar is by far the longest one... physics are physics and nobody was so brave as us to move it 4cm longer than anybody else - longer means more control, more sharpness in turning, more noticable "ppwersteering" all its like on steroids... 1.5inch = 4cm.. thinknes and stronginess - we have the stongest bar made in special H&R manufacturing plant using force not heat to build our swaybars. Last not least, 3 setups - 3 holes not 1 but 3 to connect links. - last one its for skilled rYders and we call it SPORT+ its for advanced rYders.. already our middle set up is more sharp than any other swaybar... so ultimate is good bar better than stock for sure, our is,,,, well... better 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

There is likely some engineering that dictated the rigidity of the stock bar that we are unaware of. Maybe some flex is needed to keep from damaging the front end in extreme situations. The front frame metal is way thinner than I'm happy with.

Martin your videos are always very informative . I have a request for you if you’d be kind enough to help with. I recently bought upgraded Kicker speakers for my 2021 Rt Limited. Purchased from Sling Mods. They always have very good instruction videos but not this time. Admittedly they haven’t made for this year only older models . So my question is just how do you remove the dash to get to the speakers. I REALLY don’t want to pry around not knowing where a clip is. Thank you sir 🤙🏻
