I’m absolutely thrilled for Finals this year. The Swannies have stood strong against the other Top Sides. Destiny is within reach and this great tune will certainly be in my head the whole Finals run in 2022. LFG SWANNIES!! 🦢❤️🤍
Was not meant to, but this season, phew, I don’t know if the bloods can be stopped, although finals are stil, far away. Would love to see Sydney win ( if it isn’t ment for Carlton this season).
Nah... it was always 'cheer cheer the red and the white' officially. However, this song was actually played when the swans ran out onto the ground before the games in Sydney for a number of years. So I guess it was kinda 'official' for some time.
2023:-It still resonates now! Why's it not still used to promote "The(Sydney) Blood- Stained Angels"-nowdays? Bloody shame!(pun intended). Carn the Red&Whites!🏉🍺👌 🍒 BloodRed.🍒
Agree, this song is great, Cheer, Cheer The Red and The White is the best club song since it is more “inclusive” and respects the heritage of the club, but this song should also be used, maybe as a goaltune or during the inter-quarter breaks. But I believe they do play it sometimes at 3quarter time.
@@kazumakiryu3397 Who does besides Collingwood fans? No one likes Collingwood besides their own fans and your reaction is exactly why no one likes them.
This is just awesome, be sick if they brought this back, is an entry song. But still, Cheer Cheer the Red and the White is still superior, although the new version isn’t as good as the one prior with how weird it sounds cleaned up.

Ex-Swans/saints AFL player. Was made famous for a particular photograph where he's shown taking a one-handed mark/catch. When there was a marking opportunity, his teammate used to shout, "up there Cazaly." The phrase was used as a battle cry during WWII by Australian soldiers. Cazaly has also been known to have given Hawthorn their 'hawks' nickname.
@@OfficialNickyG One doesn't score nearly 1000 goals in a career if they're overrated. Only 5 others have kicked more than Lance Franklin and all of them were/are legends of the sport.
Watching this tonight, after the 2016 final...makes me really proud of the boys and all they have achieved, even if we didn't win it!
Mishka biggest robbery in GF history.
@@DaMJfadeaway I 100% agree, it was that bad I was crying bucketloads afterwards
UP THE DOGS
I was at the game and it was sad.
At least they didn’t let the 2012 slip away from them

Was this actually used as a club song??
yeah look at the 1996 grand finals when sydeny came to the field
Yep, it was also used in the early 80's after the club arrived in Sydney.
This song is Sydney swans theme
My favourite AFL team is the dockers
why was this song sung?
It was brought in the early 80's after the club relocated from South Melbourne to Sydney.
First "expansion" franchise, carrying "aerial ping pong" into RL heartland. Both songs were adverts for the VFL.
Where did u get this audio from?
Forget
I love the swan killing the magpie
I don't normally, but okay.
REALLY//
they copyrighed this song from up there cazaly
Not really as the original composer Mike Brady himself rewrote the lyrics and sang it himself.
doodar50 has posted it

Bring back South Melbourne. Sydney can be a separate club
South Melbourne were broke and on the verge of going out of business like Fitzroy had they not moved to Sydney.
