Again, for what it's worth - I'm the local Coordinator for our 'Biker Down' bike safety initiative in Stirling for the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service. I am using lots of John's teachings and words in my content delivery on our Biker Down courses. So his expertise and commitment to helping bikers lives on to this day. RIP.
So sad!😢. I just came across a video on UA-cam where he was working at the TT, and thought what real interesting person he was , with his style, wit and and humour,and love of motorcycling, the risks and dangers plus all the good work he done in saving lives on the track with real dedication!

yes so sad. A Man Risked his Life to save so many. and then get takin away from us. but he died doing what he Loved to do. I just hope I'm so Lucky to go out.. doing what I so Love to do.

i've just watched a couple of the video's dr john has done ,everything i learned from watching will help me when i'm next at the track i'm sure many racer's will be sad that he's not right behind them at the start of the races,his partner and family should be very proud of what he has done for the sport of road racing

+Ken Morris From simply reading on forums it appears he passed away after crashing in a bike accident during a practice session at a race event. I do not know the exact details. Sad, because he did so much for many a rider and it's cruel that things went like this.

On the evening of 3 July 2015, John Hinds was involved in an accident while providing medical cover at a Skerries 100 practice session. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin but died the following day from his injuries.
