The Sandwich Hut has been run by the Kammerer family since 1963. And after decades of slicing, stacking, and serving, they still take each and every sub seriously.
Great piece phantom. I grew up in this shop. The owner's are family friends. The food is every bit as amazing as it looks and they are truly a wonderful group of people, and yes the meatballs ARE better than your mother's.
I grew up in RI. Next time I'm in town I'm going to give it a try. But please please please go to the New York System in Cranston. RI hot weiners are small franks covered in a special meat sauce, chopped onion, mustard, etc. You really have to share that with everyone.
You forgot to include one of the best sandwiches in R.I. Oneyville's very famous New York style weiner's. They are sooo good, never, found them anyplace except R.I.
while people go to these places to waste 10 or more on a grinder I go to my secret deli and buy pounds of cold cut ends for 10 dollars and make the biggest calzones. 15 huge, fat with so many cheeses and meats!!! lol
