Kanata’s proximity to the Ottawa river and the greenbelt provides plenty of recreational opportunities such as hiking, cycling, golfing and horseback riding. For arts enthusiasts there is Kanata theatre and the Kanata Symphony Orchestra. The community also has many other options for a night out on the town.

Went to the Stephen Leacock school, then Sir Robert Borden whilst they built the Earl of March High, then on to St Pats when we moved into the Glebe. Dad set up the first medical practice in a basement office at the far end of the mall (Loblaws was the other) and we lived at Pellan Crescent. Still miss it all. I doubt there were more than a few thousand people there at the time.
