Ummm, okay, holy crap this is amazing.
The percussive playing, the key changes, the lyrics. This is just a well-written song. I can really relate to that kind of overthinking every life decision thing (I wrote a whole song about it, in fact).
I'm going to be replaying this until I die.
Well done! I completely agree with everything going spaceward said. Vibes galore, man!
..... your so comfortable livin' outside the box ..... admiration and appreciation for what you do ......
I've often wondered what my life would be like today if I had only made different decisions at the crossroads of the past. Would I be happier? More secure in myself? Rich? Poor? While I don't hold any regrets for the decisions that I've made, I think that a beneficial part of this thought exercise is that it reminds us to be mindful in our decisions as they happen. Who knows what kind of person will be looking back and wondering "What if?"
Anyways, your song made me think about this. So thank you for that. It's really a great song.
We love all your stuff - looking forward to the first complete album!
For any of you like me who enjoy reading over the lyrics so you can properly reflect on them -
Maybe I really should have married her.
We probably could have made it to the end.
I think about the warm nights together,
and all the lonely ones since.
What if I'd majored in architecture,
would I be building 500 feet high?
I think about all the ceilings I've slept under,
with my dreams still scraping the sky.
All my dreams still scraping the sky.
You can look back but you can't go.
You can look back but you can't go.
It's a one-way road.
One-way road.
I thought I might end up in Los Angeles.
Maybe my songs would be top in the charts.
But if I never made a home in Nashville,
Would my music have the same heart?
Maybe I should have cut some corners.
I could have chased down a few more what ifs.
Then I'd be on the fast track to somewhere,
with no idea about the life I had missed.
No idea about the life I had missed.
You can look back but you can't go.
You can look back but you can't go.
It's a one-way road.
One-way road.
Dig your heels in, but down you go.
Dig your heels in, but down you go.
Time marches slow.
Marches slow.
I read the New York Times about the multiverse.
A million billion copies of us.
Making all the choices that we didn't,
but we still don't see how they end up.
No we still don't see how they end up.
You can look back but you can't go.
You can look back but you can't go.
It's a one way road.
One way road.
One way road.
He's a freaking BEAST
I love it man! You should put this one on Spotify:)

You are the miracle of people
Great lyrics, great tone, great person. I hadn't heard this one yet!
Nice one.
Well, damn. This is amazing. I wanted to write an epic comment, but I keep getting distracted by the groove, voice and pure talent. I’ll post something more eloquent once I’ve processed just how good this kid is.
I don't care for this song that much...not one of his good ones..falls flat for me..
