I have fallen in love with arc on my personal computer! As a UX Designer it’s features just make sense and allow me to work more efficiently. It just sucks that I am stuck using Chrome on my work computer
Everything about the Arc browser is 100% what Safari and Edge combined would like to be. I could heavily see Microsoft taking some features from the arc browser and bringing them to Edge, like the vertical tabs sidebar. I also see a resemblance to safari a lot. The sidebar is what MacOS has been doing since big sure, and I think arc brings it to mac better than safari does. Arc feels more first-party than Safari does in some accepts.
Except Edge had side tabs for years, but the implementation is better IMO. Whenever you see people demo arc, they’re using some blog or something with a tiny amount of content in the middle of the screen and tons of white space. But when I use arc with gmail or teams or whatever - it’s obvious that for the webapps we use the most - tons of wasted space one the sides isn’t the norm.
@@geoken2 agree. I just tried arc yesterday. It is indeed beautiful. But the wasted space on the left part of the page quite bugs me. Horizontal tabs are still the most efficient. I can group them on Edge and expand/minimize.
