Horse Braiding Tutorial - Fishtail Fishbone Braid

In this horse braid tutorial, I will teach you how to fishtail braid a horse’s tail. This braid is also called a Fishbone Braid. Sometimes people will confuse the Fishtail Braid and the French Braid, but they are very different. The French Braid works with 3 strands that you add hair to, but the Fishtail is 2 that are new each time.
Princess has a very fine and thin tail, and this braid is sometimes a struggle. If your horse has a thick or wiry tail, this braid should be very easy for you! If you can get this horse tail braid tight and neat, it might be suitable for a horse show…. but if you are like me, and just braid as a hobby, then fishtail braids are just for fun. If you are a beginner, this braid is simple to understand, but tricky to master, so keep practicing and it will eventually work for you.
