- This book came to me from Master Gardener Joanne. I am using quiet days of winter when my garden is asleep, to read all sorts of garden books. This one is a great gem. Wonderful read!

Olga, how funny because I also look at the window and see the magnificent oak tree that also belongs to my neighbor!!😊
My large pin oaks have already dropped their leaves this winter. They did not do so last year, but they are always faithful to produce many ,many acorn. The crows love the fruit and always show up about the same time to feed on them. One of the oak trees in the front yard is on its way out. It will make good fuel for wood stove burning. Do you ever use wood ash diluted with water for fertilizer .
I add my ashes to my compost.
Happy New Year, Olga. Enjoy your cozy winter of reading. 📚
