When we finished playing my dad took me to the bar for a coke and just as we walked in, a drunk and abusive guy was being thrown out. It was my History teacher. I had History the following morning. I asked him why he got thrown out of the Snooker hall last night. If looks could kill......

I think what makes the internet joke so funny for me is that i think this episode was 3 years after the series ended ..and about 5 years after the original joke
I've seen this episode multiple times and have only just realised that Jen and Roy's mockery of Moss' boardgame show is a self-mockery of The IT Crowd as a show itself. The IT Crowd had been off the air for three years when this final episode came about, so the three months since Moss' last Game Board episode seem to represent this time passing. Jen saying, "I feel like it's just happened," seems like a reference to how the actors probably felt upon returning -- the shock of three years passing since their last series. I don't know if this has been confirmed anywhere by the writers but it must be the case because they make such a point of including this conversation!
The reference to "Cat bin lady" - I remember the national outrage at that older woman putting a cat into a wheeliebin! There was a national campaign to find her & jail her, it went on for weeks!! I'm not kidding!!

Fortunately every season has a long blooper reel to react to :) also! A few episodes of Travel Man feature IT Crowd actors and it kinda feels like the show all over again. I guess these actors can't help but play off eachother like they used to.

I've got some recommendations for ya. Sorry if you have already seen any of these, because i've lost track of which you've already done. But here goes. 1) The easiest one to recommend is Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Older show, short with only 1 series (6 episodes). It has a young Richard Ayoade (Moss) and Matt Berry (Douglas). And it used to be all on UA-cam for free. If it still is, that should be easy to find and watch and easy to get onto youtube. It's super goofy and I just know that you would love it. 2) Bottom. It's a gem but one which unfortunately is a little more hidden than the likes of Blackadder or Young Ones. Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson. It's hilarious, dark, dirty and goofy. I think you'd love it 3) Red Dwarf. Amazing comedy sci fi show
