The steps will be the same however there is a harness you'll have to disconnect (runs the power to the mirrors) and reconnect the new mirror.

The trim removal on my 2010 Jeep Patriot was different. There was a plastic panel the width of the door that I pried away to get access to the nuts. Suggestion is to hold a magnet under the nuts so they don't disappear into the door.

About the brass screws - the mirror I bought had black colors bolts.
