They are providing the programs that can handle the data but they do not have any real world data which is expensive and difficult to obtain. Their products can produce synthetic data to augment real world data.
I haven’t had any safety critical disengagements with 13.2.2. Not even close. I do get the ‘sun in the cameras’ warning and have to take over for that. That’s irritating but I’m assuming they have a solution for that. It is absolutely a much better driver than 95% of humans, IMO. I use it everywhere I go bc I know it’s a better driver than me. Of course, I monitor diligently. It would be great to know what James’s take is in the Nvidia presentation.
Licensing deal won’t be announced, it will osborne the legacy auto and nobody will buy their existing fleet, any partnership will be quietly done and announce near production
Chinese said that they would restrict the export of CATL batteries yesterday and Tesla’s main supplier for batteries is CATL… that’s why the stock fell.
An SDK (software development kit) allows the user to develop an application program (in the old days..it can be a C, C++, etc. So what NVIDIA is selling/marketing is the IDE/SDK to create the application to do the AV program. Now TESLA has been doing this for at least 5 years now, in-house, vertically integrated (cuz they make the cars, TESLA also has the inference engine in each vehicle, and the billions of miles in REAL world data (NOT simulated) and trained their vehicles through an AI end-to-end neural network. Can these other car companies replicate what TESLA has done in half a decade in a few short months? Your guess is as good as mine😂
Nvidia a threat to Tesla Optimus more than FSD. Tesla doesn't have training data advantage in humanoid robots, and bots don't learn on their own! At least FSD doesn't. My 2 cents is Tesla needs to a) manufacture a gazllion Optimus bots ASAP b) get teleoperation-based training kits in hands of developers across wide range of applications c) incentivize to share/pool training data to create network effects. Nvidia network effect in humanoid robots will be formidable. My money is on Tesla in FSD, especially robotaxi, but Nvidia could dominate AI ecosystem in humanoid bots. Thoughts?
@@Dularr If Nvidia has been working on this for years, they don't have much to show for it, either in AV or bots. Tesla is almost done w AV, that ship has almost sailed. Bots are pretty much hardware demos from what I've seen.
The nvidia’s hardware is there, the automaker still have to come up with a self driving software architecture, how it’s train how it gather data. It’s not a sure thing the approve they come up with doesn’t work. If they sign up now they are just getting to first base! When Tesla drop Nvidia system to now is how far ahead they are. Tesla solution will be much cheaper, because it’s in house . Automaker using Nvidia can’t compete with Tesla in price or time to market.
Opportunity to buy more on the Tesla stock dip. Having similar hardware platforms does not take into account the knowledge, depth, data and research experts driving the answers forward.
I believe other companies are just showcasing ideas, while Tesla truly walks the talk. This is what makes Tesla so successful and earns people's trust. Even though NVIDIA offers excellent tools, they are just that-tools. When it comes to graphics for Windows, however, nothing else compares to NVIDIA.

Teslas current voice integration is terrible. Way worse than Android auto for calling people and navigation. I can't even call my wife using my voice without having to select which person i want to call from a list of people with the same first name. This is never an issue with android auto. Hopefully, Groq improves this.
Its normal profit taking. The stock double in a short period. It’s a technical sell off. I took a profit in the 460s because It was the obvious thing to do. Way too much hype, but I still like Tesla for the long term. I’m buying back in my Roth IRA.
Not very professional for Nick to be sipping on wine .. false casual and lack of respect for audience. Drink when it’s appropriate.. before or after. Not during episode.
Tesla is about to get overvalued. They could not take advantage of their lead in autonomy. They will be a player in autonomous driving, not THE player.

42:45, there is always that Google Assistant in android auto and people really do not care.
Not only that Bank of America raise the stock to 492 that's even the funniest part of all this

It is possible to make the car stay in the right lane with FSD V12 with minimum lane changes. Did they remove that in V13?
Good catch about Ford not being mentioned. Maybe because they actually will do something with Tesla?
Why Elon didn't present at CES?
