Mitsubishi Electric MELCloud installation for Zen with MAC-5571F

- Installing a MAC-5571F-E WiFi module yourself isn't too tricky if you haven't been able to find an engineer who'll do it for you.
MELCloud allows you to control your air conditioning system from your phone or PC via the internet. The internet must be available at your home or office for this system to work.
Welcome to the IoT.

Thanks for you video! It did helped me to put the module MAC-567I-F Wi-Fi in a MSZ-EF42VGS.
In my case i put the module in the left side behind the cover for gas connections, so it became invisible and the wire goes behind near the tubes until the board.
🖤❤️🔥🤙
Thank you for making this video!
Great video. I was considering to buy Mitsubishi but totally not going to after seen this.
Thanks for the video, it gave me the courage to unscrew the last 2 screws covering the mainboard and connect the wifi unit to the right connection on the mainboard. I have an MSZ-HR50VF which is almost the same. Now i have a working melcloud unit thanks to your video!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Phillipe for the concise information. Never thought it would require internet connection to control it.
is not possible install the MELCloud module inside of clima unit, you need to fix it to the wall, esthetically it's awful
Nice video - helping me decide about which AirCon. Seems you might be able to put the wifi adaptor above the AC unit so you don't see it - as it does not need to be line of sight for any reason (?)
You could indeed put it above, you may even be able to hide it entirely inside the bottom cover with some encouragement, if your WiFi signal is strong enough!
Why do they have to push everything to the cloud? I want LOCAL control of my heating even when Internet is down!,,
Local control would require a separate hub and additional programming. Ultimately it comes down to a business decision about cost and effort, and Mitsubishi have decided for whatever reason that it's not worth it. I suspect every customer agrees with you though!
@@PhillipParr a local API or protocol specification for those who have an installer or a local company doing automation for them and want a rock solid solution for their home heating should be given!!!
There is a local solution where you use an arduino in stead of this box. Needed: Arduino (mini), home assistant on a device at home (raspberry pi is the easiest/best IMHO), esphome plugin, cables, a 2.0 JST Pin connector and lots of spare time ;)
is there a module to allow you to connect the unit to internet by ethernet cable ?
Thank You!
Thanks for the useful video. I’d like to know this is the process for each air conditioner? Even for the newest Mitsubishi?
I'm not sure but I hope not - the app hasn't changed so I'm not convinced they're improving this version of it.
Phillip Parr hmm ok thanks for your reply 😊🙏
Excuse me but your law the consumption report dll enrgia as seen in the demo function ???? Thank you
I just bought an IR remote that is wifi activated from the app it came with. It was $14 on Amazon.
Does it require internet connection too, or can I control the equipment just having wifi (local network)?
A link to the remote please
@@zipeer1984
It's now $23... Still a great alternative to the factory conversion.

@@jogonca1500 I don't know. It requires an app, so I am guessing internet connection is required.
@@jogonca1500 yeah, IR BLASTERs need internet also, if you want to control your aircon (away) outside the house, EVERY solution needs internet. if no internet (like summer house or smthing) buy 3g/4g GSM ROUTER, or just use old phone (yes it needs sim with internet) as a hotspot. but yeah IR BLASTER is the easiest solution. (IR BLASTER = universal remote, same time as you switch air con ON/OFF, you can use same IR B. to switch on TV etc
Excuse me but your law the report on energy consumption as seen in the demo function ???? Thank you
mitsubishi electric mac 567 can you reach me if there is a sale from this product?
Hi, does anybody know if MAC-587IF-EH is compatible with a srK25ZSP-W? Any input will be appreciated ..
No, the SRK unit is MITSUBUSHI Heavy Industries unit. Totally different company
Hello mate! Will this work if let's say I finished work and want the A/C to cool the house before I get home? Cheers Pal
You can turn it on and off from your phone, or set a timer. But it doesn't currently support geofencing or Alexa / Google Assistant.
Can I use the Kumo Cloud adapter instead of the MELCloud in a MSZ-AP35VG?
I'm not sure - the app doesn't seem to pick up the WiFi modules shown in this video, but that could also be because I'm in the UK and currently only the US is supported.
why not in.
the view is bad.
Eh?
Electrical interference is reason it must be installed outside units or on wall.
