OMG you saved me so much trouble i was ready to call the dealer for the pin code then i downloaded this chrysler pin puller app connected my elm327 to my note 8 and it gave me the pin code under can2/3 bus for my 2007 dodge nitro. Thank you so much for your help!
This is only how I got my pin code. I used the micro mechanic obd plug and software called alfaobd to program my key with the pin code I received from Chrysler pin puller
Do you have the Chrysler software on the ilink? If so click on that. Then click on auto scan. Then click control units. On mine I had to go into the wcm. Then scroll down to special functions.
Doesn't work on 5th Gen RAM (2020 Ram 2500 - rolling pin#). Pulling pin from this truck requires a lot of OBD pin connections swap which I have no way of doing it.
Can it be used without obd splitter? Like connect the elm first to get the code then connect the scantool to use the code.. Or should both be connected at the same time??
I think the confusion is because you are using an Autel Maxi Sys and the phone. Never once do you explain that the phone is connecting to an OBDLink MX bluetooth scan tool. I am assuming that from previous comments that you are also using an OBD-II splinter cable to have one end connected to the OBDLink MX and the other line to the MaxiSys. These small details would need to be explained to save people time and get the best out of your app. If I am incorrect in my assumption please let me know.
Yes you correct. It's OBD splitter. I don't understand why it's get so important? The purpose of the video is showing you where and how you getting and using pin code. but splitter?
It is important for people who need to understand the set up in order to use the app correctly. Without the OBDLink MX or another appropriate ELM327 Bluetooth device the app cannot be used. That is why people were asking how do you do this with the MaxiSYS tool. The video makes it appear that you are connecting to the Autel MaxiSYS tool. Only after watching at least 2 dozen times did it register to me that you were connecting to the OBDLink MX. The steps on how to use the app are great and the video is great for that part. It just needed about 30 seconds to show the connection setup.
Thank you to pointing me finaly to that. I didn't realize that small detail when I was creating that video as an attachment of thr app description. YES PEOPLE THE APP CONNECTED TO ELM327 VIA Y OBD SPLITTER.
From what I'm guessing to pull a PIN from a Dodge Ram will require at least $16 to (purchase 50 Tokens at 32 cents apiece. Does the Site accept PayPal for payment ? I rather not be entering my credit card information on some random website
Good evening from Spain, can you tell me what Chinese elm uses for this android app? I have tried two and they are not compatible Thank you, happy Easter
would you explain how you connected the scanner and the phone app? would answer this question as well Great video but the question is how to connect the smart phone to the maxisys pro while it is connected to the car can you please explain it for us thanks good job.
Victor Alvarado. Creo que necesitas Este conector, 1.7 Ft 1 to 3 OBD2 16 pin Splitter Extension Cable Male to Female Y J1962 Cable . Puedes buscar en amazon
Adrian Galindo gracias por tu respuesta. Pregunta: lo has probado? Gracias.
Hello great video i have one question when you change the pcm on a journey 2009 you enter on pcm replaced and is the same procudure? Thanks best regards.
Josue Haro I didn't understand your question. But yee you can replace pcm on used one using this app for pin and maxysys or launch to run replacement function. Replacing PCM procedures in WCM specifical functions.
This app shown here sucks. I have the same scanner and seemingly set up the same with zero positive results. Tried many times until I just about threw my scanner and phone out the window. Grrrr!!!!!

Got this to work with a vident ilink400. With an Autometer obd splitter from summit racing and a micro mechanic bluetooth obd. Thanks!
I wasn't able to do that with the ilink400, how did you get to the program feature?

¿Puedo usar un adaptador chino?
¿Cual puede ser?
You should see if you can edit your video description to mention the OBD Y Splitter and ELM 327 to save redundant questions, LOL
Is the phone connected to the scantool or the vehicle? It looks like you connected to the scantool, if so how did you connect it...Bluetooth?
