Scripps Ranch Blvd 1972 and 2020

Side by side driving view from 1972 and 2020 using the San Diego City Clerk Street View Archives. At this time access to the Blvd. was via a frontage off of the old Pomerado Road; the frontage road replaced the old Pomerado Road alignment here. One can see portions of the main Scripps Ranch complex where the classic Von's is now. Looks like the area was graded down a bit. In 1972 the Blvd. stopped at Appaloosa. An imposing cut slope visible where the Blvd. would eventually be cut through to Carroll Canyon Road, which was not constructed yet in 1972. Wish the old Scripps Ranch complex was still there now, that would have been awesome.
