Walrus Audio Pedal Play: Lore Reverse Soundscape Generator
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- Once upon a time, in a fairy tale world, there stood a hidden forest. On the eve of every full moon, magical and delicate sounds of light were heard bouncing and reverberating through the trees. These sounds carry artifacts of notes moving backward and stretching through time. They are referred to as, Lore.
Walrus president Colt Westbrook teamed up with Walrus employees Shirley Sanders, Kyle Bennett, and Wesley Belk to write and record a jam for the Lore Reverse Soundscape Generator, complete with an afternoon spent in a greenhouse.
Create the soundtrack to your storybook adventure with the Lore Reverse Soundscape Generator. Made up of five different programs, each utilizes different combinations of delay and reverb that feed into each other for time warping ambient creations. Featuring two DSP chips running in series, each with their own analog feedback path, the Lore takes you on an adventurous journey rich with themes of reversing, time-stretching, pitch-shifting, and vast ambiance.

please make a whole album of tunes like this. pretty please.
If you buy me this pedal, I will make you THREE albums with it! Haha
Check out a band called Tides of Man, especially the album Young and Courageous
Listen to Sugar for the Pill by Slowdive
@@rolando_gelatinosaThank you for that amazing tip, I already liked Slowdive and now I love them
Came for the cool pedal, stayed for the fantastic mix.
Right?!
Who mixed that?
Besides the amazing effects, I actually loved the song!
Reminds me of If Trees Could Talk.
Just a simple question good folk at Walrus. Ya"ll make a gem like this but in Mono. I mean why ??
All those reverse verbs and swells could have sounded huge in Stereo.
Super bummed man :(
Would never consider this pedal. They screwed up, again.
Just wait for v2 or the next iteration
yeah it's def an oversight, or it would make it 500 bucks or something
@@scrummyvision a Neunaber true stereo is less than $300. I would buy a stereo Slo so fast!
Sorry, I forgot to mention a stereo loop station, or mono to stereo splitter will also do the trick. Some new equipment is out there that assigns frequencies to either side operating from mono to stereo. I use a loop station to layer sounds like this Lore pedal generate to add further layers to the music, then play over the loop to add leads or other volume pedal effects. The Loop station also records ideas you may have for songs to show Your band or others. The combination of the Lore pedal, Processor and Stereo loop station, possibly Stereo Flanger if needed, will amaze you and encourage you to be the Musician/writer You can and should be!!! Get lost in what You can do and Go For It !!!! The Sky's the Limit!!!!
Cool song and great playing a usual.
Creating a desert for a desert island pedal? Oh its on my sand pail list.
I literally dont need this but I will buy it anyways. 😂
Any day I get to hear Shirley play is a good day. The guys are good, too.
Right....
I need this song
Obi Wan Kenobi plays cool guitar too?!? Hello there!
Wait, this is only mono? In 2022, with 2 processors? What a waste! 😭
The amount of people that have pre-ordered would disagree it's a waste. 🙂 We may look at a stereo option in the future, we'll see how this one goes. It's a costly pedal to make and adding stereo would put it in similar pricing with our Mako series. And if we did that, you'd have people asking why we didn't add in midi, and presets, etc..
@@walrusaudioeffects maybe consider adding midi and presets ;) but seriously - It would be killer with synths.
Ooo cringe! Pedals on dirt and gravel is a quick way to ruin your pedals! The quartz in the gravel can create static charge not to mention the iron and moisture in the soil can cause electrical shorts possibly ruining the pedals. People forget the earth and its elements are electrically conductive. Like the music though!
Thank you for making my dream pedal, I thought having one of each of your reverb pedals was enough but then you guys release this and needless to say I already ordered it. I can't wait to play this at my church. Every pedal from you guys is like a love letter to me from someone I've never met
Thanks for the kind words and pre-order!!
My jazzmaster is begging for one. I don’t want to disappoint my jazzmaster.
That thing stacked with the ERAS is unreal! 🤩
Keep playing together. This could be a thing.
came for the pedals but unexpectedly ended up wanting a 5 string bass...
ha! They are quite fun.
Greenhouse jam, nice work !
What a great mix! Any chance we could get to know the ACS1 settings?
Such a big inspirational device for making more sweet pieces, thanks for keep ambient music alive and well...
The name of the pedal "Lore”, means flower in Euskera, Basque Country language 😊
I love mine . Although I use it for synths for now . Trying to do ambient music .
Pedal sounds gorgeous! But who just lays their pedals out in the gravels?!?! Are we barbarians now?!? Jk great job!!
Super cool, dreamy shoegazey vibes with some good contrasting energy too. Keep it up!
I should be receiving the M1 today. How will this play with the modulation effects? Looking to get some dreamy ambient/psychedelic landscapes.
Kind of shoegazy…I like it.
The pedal is bonkers, but please everyone don't forget to notice how good the tune is.
Great pedal, the band's music is incredible, I ordered it right after listening XD,
please keep up the good work with great effects pedals for ambient music and post-rock.
Thank you!!
Post rock in pedal format :D love it
This is giving me big Tides of Man vibes. Love it and just pushed me over the edge on wanting this
Awesome mix!
so, it's 300$ for a mono pedal. insane.
Lovely song. Very cool pedal.
Okay, what can do more though? The R1 or the Lore? 😬
The R1 does much more as far as features go. The Lore is unapologetically based around reverse programs for ambient sound creations. The R1 has standard verbs and experimental verbs with stereo, midi, presets, etc…
@@walrusaudioeffects good to know. Thanks guys! Great job as always.
Man those Jennings guitars are so sick
Awesome band!!
A+
Amazing !
I've tried stacking this after my old school Sabbadius Tiny Vibe. Unreal!!
i love this pedal, and it's super cool to run all kinds of shit through (i use it as an FX send on my SSL big six).
my only complaint is that the mod rate isn't somehow variable; it's pretty limited IMO otherwise.
it's a super fun pedal, can't wait to get the badwater for my bass! and also the mako reverb XD
when i said limited, i meant the mod knob not the entire pedal :) great purchase
Thanks for the kind words and feedback! Just to make sure you've tried it, you can change the rate on the mod by holding bypass and turning the mod knob!
@@walrusaudioeffects so i just called my mom, turns out i never learned to read XD just checked the manual, i just wasn't paying close enough attention. never owned a pedal with this much going on so this is a fun surprise :)
@@scrummyvision haha!
This whole…experience is peak hipster
We were worried that plain t shirts and jeans wouldn’t be hipster enough.
That was great. I'd buy an album full of that! You can always count on Okies.
I really appreciate hearing this pedal used to build a solid track and not just bleep bloop soundscape earth rise on the moon boredommmmmm
Please form a band. Would visit your gigs!
Great tune!!!!!
Thanks!
Plz make eurorack modules, friends :')
I love this!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is some big Kings Of Leon vibes.
Loved this
People complaining about stereo....but this mix slays.
Thanks!
Great work on the pedal, and Excellent Delivery on the song!!! Thanks for Your work on both!!! Ordered one can't wait!!! Certain processors have the capabilities to split the signal somewhat to acheive a stereo effect or put the pedal early in the loop then split the signal, or flange it possibly. This works in many situations!!!
Thanks so much!!
Best sounding pedal demo I’ve ever heard. Great music! Thank You
Nice track, what brand guitar straps ate you using on the 6 strings? Ty
Walrus Audio :)
The song is some of the best music I've ever heard.
Thanks!!
Great pedal. Great band. Great song.
Thank you!
The name of the band is?
Walrus employees just goin to work!
Guitar right?
The grey green one? Jennings baritone voyager
Does Wesley have a Balance and Composure tattoo?
Yes, separation !
@@wesleybelk6089 that album is pure art
Man, I so would have bought this if it was stereo. Really pointless to make a pedal that does this kind of thing but can never be stereo where it really shines...
Would’ve been twice as much. 4 chips…
@@jaronnix6214 no.
Connect the pedal chain to DI box in the end to make the output stereo. There are a lot of DI boxes out there.
@@man_of_war Yeah that would unfortunately just be dual mono. For something to actually have the effect of stereo there needs to be contrast between the two signals. That's what creates stereo depth and width. Hence my frustration with them only making this mono.🤷♂🤷♂
@@bradenandre2298 I understand. In connection to the effect of having a stereo depth, having more than one signal to utilize the Lore would be better. My thought is to connect the Lore in the mixer's send-return effect chain. The lead guitar & rhythm guitar can share the Lore while having individual effects layered on top of the Lore. The sound engineer can pan the effect of the Lore depending on which among them (lead or rhythm guitar) needs to be highlighted in the song.
For people who can play three chords, and know how to pick 2, or 3 notes in tune. Basically, if you want to play like The Edge, getcha one of these. It also doesn't sound that much different than their Slö pedal. I think they just used the same guts in a different housing, and called it a new pedal they can charge $300.00 for. Ridiculous! Unless you were The Edge, whose every song sounds the same, how practical is this? It sure as hell doesn't justify $300.00!
