Angela seems to have some kind of sick, psychological hold over Michael and it's downright terrifying. Truly, I am in fear for that man and his well being, When will TLC and Sharp Entertainment take responsibility for enabling that she devil and her level of entitlement to exercise control over Michael's every movement, safety and well being? Over Michael's autonomy right down to his every breath? Why is she being allowed to get away with this level of nonsense? Because, as she's so fond of saying, this is the United States of America, there are rights and freedoms that extend not just to Angela but to Michael as well. Someone needs to remind her of that.
Absolutely. She has been abusive to him since they've met. She's received nothing but praise for it from TLC, which is why she has continued the behavior. She wants to own Michael, nothing more to it. She doesnt want him to work and create some independence. And we have to discuss the elephant in the room. Michael is a black man in a foreign country with a white woman. God forgive if something happened to him from her, chances are it would have been overlooked. He did the right thing to flee.

He didn't need to pay for the card. The IR1 is a approved greencard and is paid for before he even comes to the US and he should receive it within a week or 2 after his arrival if he came immediately after receiving the visa. He doesn't need to apply for it after arriving.
