    As always, nice pics and info Joe.
    We refer to the Stinkwitgat as a noenieboom

      Hoekom Noenieboom Cobus? (Noenie) wat beteken dit of wat is die oorsprong? Noenieput? Iets te maak daarmee?

      @@JoesCamera Ek weet nie wat die oorsprong is nie, dalk omdat daar so baie Noeniebome rondom Noenieput is? Stinkwitgat, Noenieboom, stinkbos, mapiepie. Streekname dalk. (Boscia foetida)
      Oom Elias my vertel dat hy sonder sukses, van die bome probeer verplant het.

      @@cobusvanzyl8598 ja ek gebruik Vd Walt /LeRiche wens net dat hulle die boek opgevolg het en goeie fotos kon bysit. Wat is die engelse naam vir stinkwitgat Cobus?

      @@JoesCamera Opvolg met fotos, of selfs n CD met verskillende fases van groei, blom en peul, sal identifikasie baie vergemaklik.
      Die Stinkwitgat is skynbaar in engels bekend as Stink Shepherd tree en Smelly Shepherds Bush.

    Nice vid, Joe. What is the creature that you said bites you when sitting under the tree? I couldn’t quite understand you.

      @JoesCamera  3 роки тому +1

      Txs . Its called a sand tampan or african eyed tampan or a type of tick. Lives for very long periods without food under the sand and when an animal or human sits on the sand underneath a tree waiting to bite. See in Wikipedia some interesting facts of these creatures

    Why shongololo are attracted to the witgatboom ?

    • @JoesCamera
      @JoesCamera  4 роки тому +1

      They love to sleep in the holes around the roots during the dat and they eat the dry leaves below the tree in the holes around the extensively exposed roots system
